"Earth is born." Thus, mind and what arises from mind, and so on, all these various things, this which is spoken of becomes a friend to yogis, making them into that, the lotus face of the lama, from which all become virtuous friends, that is what arises from it. It is said. Niguma said: The stages of the ten bhumis and five paths (255), should be traversed with the power of devotion. It is said. Aryadeva said: This is the color of the lama, which excellently shows the union. It is said. Therefore, all removal of obstacles and enhancement arise solely from devotion to the lama, hence it is called the instruction of curing a hundred diseases with one medicine. Secondly, if one realizes the true nature, compassion naturally arises towards sentient beings who have not realized it, this is the nature of reality. If it has not arisen, then one should cultivate it by correcting the mind, all sentient beings of myself and the three realms, have the essence of the form body and the mind of the dharma body, inseparable in their own nature, but the mind is trapped in the sheath of ignorance of grasping and clinging, and because it does not know its own nature, it wanders in the three realms, and wanders in the six realms. Still without being tired (256) and weary of this, one should meditate with the thought of compassion. When compassion has arisen in full measure, the object of meditation, sentient beings, the meditator himself, the object of meditation, compassion, all are determined to be one's own mind. By releasing one's own mind as before in the state of Mahamudra, in the compassion whose radiance is unceasing, clearly and distinctly, in the dharma body without clinging, that is, in that, the compassion without object, or the emptiness and compassion are inseparable. The Condensed Sutra says: Although great compassion arises, there is no perception of sentient beings, at that time one is practicing the supreme perfection of wisdom. It is said. Nagarjuna said: Possessing the essence of emptiness and compassion, for some who are striving for enlightenment. It is said. Other than that, emptiness devoid of compassion leads to the Hinayana, and compassion not embraced by emptiness cannot transcend samsara. Saraha said: Whoever enters emptiness devoid of compassion (257), does not attain the supreme path. But even if one meditates only on compassion, one cannot be liberated from this samsara. Whoever is able to unite these two, does not abide in samsara nor abide in nirvana. It is said. Thirdly, the path of means.

The extraordinary extraction is: Mix ordinary consciousness with wind, and conceptual non-awareness ceases. That is, ordinary consciousness is on the samadhi of recognizing its own nature. By holding the soft wind with not too much effort, the mind abides in itself. It is like a young wind, and the key is that the thought is like a man. Mix the clear deity body with wind, and the experience increases like the waxing moon. That is, from the state of clarifying oneself as a deity, holding the wind as before, (258) with the elephant-like attitude towards whatever arises, taking Tala to the path without grasping is the clear light of day. Its power goes into dreams and takes it to the path is the clear light of night. At the time of death, the object and the subject dissolve. From the union of ahaṃ (अहं, I) meeting in dhṛti (धृति, holding), all empty dharmas are like the sky. For all sentient beings who die, what arises spontaneously is the mother clear light, and what is accustomed to day and night is the son clear light. The two meet like water and milk mixing. Recognize each other as if meeting an acquaintance. Like putting water in water, or putting butter in butter, they become one. The two mix like a river, and then gain stability in the self-benefit dharmakaya. From the unborn nature, the unobstructed and pure illusory body (259) arises. The two bodies and two benefits arise continuously until samsara is empty. This is the practice of the clear light of the first bardo. After gaining stability there, the body is the form kaya, the mind is the dharma kaya. By practicing the generation and completion stages without separation, it arises as before. These two are the clear light of the bardo. Mix the dualistic knowledge with wind, and the three kayas of the fruit will manifest. Or, mix the three kayas of knowledge with wind, and the three kayas of the fruit will manifest. That is, from the generation stage, hold the wind as before, and release the ordinary consciousness into a state of non-grasping. Meditating on the body as the seven-limbed generation stage is the sambhogakaya. Keeping the mind non-conceptual is the dharmakaya. The two (260) inseparable are the svabhavikakaya. Or, from clarity is the nirmanakaya, from bliss is the sambhogakaya, from non-conceptuality is the dharmakaya. The three kayas are inseparable.
