It is said in the scriptures that the detailed guidance method here needs to be understood separately. Let me explain a little bit here, "Although things are the same, minds are different." Because the same thing (214) will show many different scenes. Manifestation is one's own mind, exemplified by examining attachments. Going down from the same river bank, it is divided into six realms of beings. The river water appears as nectar to the gods. Bodhisattva Maitreya said, "Because manifestation is one's own mind, even the smallest river of dust, even a slowly flowing pool, will turn into nectar." For the Asuras, it is a weapon, for humans it is water, for fish it is a house, for hungry ghosts it is pus and blood, and for hell beings it appears as boiling bitter water. In the Conduct, it says, "Who made the burning iron ground? Where did these fires come from? The Buddha said that all of them are born from sinful minds." If the external world really exists, then like water appearing to humans, it should also appear to hungry ghosts. But it does not appear. The scriptures say that hungry ghosts have to go through long kalpas to quench their thirst. If you practice these principles in your heart, then the preliminary practices should be done as before. Clearly place a vase or other object in front of you, and look at it without attachment from the three aspects of abiding. The appearance of the vase does not disappear, and it becomes bare and inseparable from the mind of the vase, which is free from the defilements of the object and subject. This is the manifestation is one's own mind, and one's own mind is the manifestation. Similarly, practice on whatever manifestation arises. The Inconceivable Tantra says, "Mind nature is the co-emergent Dharmakaya, manifestation is the co-emergent light of the Dharmakaya, manifestation and mind are inseparable and co-emergent." Just like this. (216) When the practice reaches perfection, one can transform manifestation into mind, transform mind into manifestation, and be able to freely use the inseparability of manifestation and emptiness. The Mind-Only School is the eighth consciousness. This is the meaning of what is said. Like this, after determining that manifestation is one's own mind, look for the mind as described above. If you say that this mind is an indefinable clarity and awareness, then the preliminary practice has been stabilized. The Sutra Requested by Light Protector says, "What is the medicine that transcends the world? It is the consciousness of completely searching for the mind." Lama Maitripa passed away.

After that, the Yogini Wisdom Dakini Gangadhara Ma, guided by thirty-two Panditas, said, "Search for your original mind (217)." and initiated the mind-searching. When Lama Shangpa went to India for the last time, after Lama Maitripa passed away, she requested the previous instructions from the Yogini, and she spoke these principles. If someone asks: Does this contradict Niguma's Mahamudra? Answer: It does not contradict. Relying on the fundamental Vajra words, Niguma is the most important, and Mahamudra is jointly explained by the three Lamas. The Wisdom Dakini Niguma is the master of the preliminary practice, Sukama Siddhi is the master of the subsequent practice, and Maitripa is the master of the main practice. She said that these three are the same in meaning. Now, relying on the skillful means of the Niguma lineage, as well as devotion to the Guru, and the three ways of abiding with support and without support, without focusing on ordinary consciousness (218), it arises. In order to reach a stable level, without being disturbed by the actions of body and speech, before even a little certainty arises in the phenomena of one's own mind, if the base is introduced at the beginning, it is like shooting an arrow without seeing the target, or like a pool without plugging the leaks, arrogance of understanding will arise. Secondly, introducing the method of stealing as the secret word Vajra seal, in the instructions of the four faults self-liberating, there are two. In order to prevent obstacles and hindrances from arising in the preliminary practice, to make supplications: In the center of the Protector's Mandala, which is like a small booklet, place a large and beautifully decorated Torma, erect an arrow banner, and generate the Wisdom Protector. Surround it with exquisite Torma offerings. All the teachers and students abide in the yoga of the deities (219). Above the Protector, visualize the root and lineage Lamas, especially the Wisdom Dakini Niguma, with a black body color and a reddish glow, holding a Damaru in her right hand that makes sound, holding a Kapala filled with nectar in her left hand, leaning on a Khatvanga on her elbow, standing in a dancing posture, and adorned with bone ornaments. In addition, visualize countless Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and the deities of the Mandala. Offer them the actually arranged Mandala and the Tsok Torma, and hold flowers in your palms.
