That arises dependent on the guru's symbolic instructions. If students, having abandoned all effort, realize it simply by resting in the three natural states, they doubt, thinking, "How can it be so easy?" Due to the fault of lacking undistracted meditation, they wander in samsara. Now, for the meaning that is extremely hidden, scripture is the valid measure. Therefore, one should have faith in the scriptural statements of the sutras and tantras mentioned above, as well as one's own experience. One should practice without distraction in all four modes of conduct (155). As the Glorious Sambhuti Tantra says: "When eating, drinking, pouring, sleeping, turning, and thinking, if you wish to manifest the great mudra, then proceed with that first." Therefore, this is the fourth fault: even if it is good, one wanders in samsara due to not being able to comprehend it and lacking decisiveness. Thus it is said. Previously, not having been grasped by a holy guru, and having one's mindstream disturbed by philosophical study, for those beings who turn their faces away from the inner meaning, if such a profound and excellent path is shown, they will not be able to comprehend it because the Dharmakaya is too excellent. In the Supreme Primordial Buddha Tantra, it says: "Children, scholars, and the deluded, do not understand the meaning of the tantra here." In its commentary, the Glorious Naropa says: (156) "Children" means ordinary beings; "scholars" means those who are exhausted from studying dry philosophy such as grammar and logic, like roots; "the deluded" means those who turn away from the view of the inner suchness, this is not their realm. Therefore, one should completely abandon the fault of not being able to comprehend, and one must have faith in the guru's instructions and one's own experience, which are in accordance with all the pure scriptures above. From the mouth of the Lord Avalokiteshvara, it is said: "Those who regard awareness as a precious jewel, should be made to fully realize the great jewel. With the pure words of those ones, one should know one's own jewel." Therefore, one should generate decisive certainty and meditate single-pointedly, thereby being liberated from the fault of wandering in samsara. Lord Maitripa (157) focuses mainly on the main practice. That is to say, even if virtuous actions have arisen in the preliminary practices, if one is not separated from these four faults of the main practice, the mind will remain in doubt.

Because of laziness and negligence in practice, one cannot attain accomplishment. Therefore, the main practice is very important. Thus, the measure of the arising of the main practice in the mindstream, and the realization of the union of not focusing on appearances and thoughts, is enlightenment. That very self-arising, the measure of stability, is the cycle of existence and nirvana free from subject and object. Third, the subsequent self-arising of the four bodies: In that ultimate self-arising, free from subject and object and fabrication, the manifestation as various forms is the Nirmāṇakāya. The non-conceptual, free from clarity and grasping, is the Dharmakāya. The clarity without conceptuality, that itself arising as bliss, is the Sambhogakāya. All three of these are inseparable in nature, the ultimate body of great bliss. That (158) aspect of non-conceptuality is the wisdom of suchness The aspect of how it appears without conceptuality is the wisdom of all-encompassing knowledge These two are inseparable in nature, called the indivisibility of the wisdom of the dharmadhātu. The preliminary commitment is the secret vajra. Thus it is said, the ultimate state previously experienced is profound samadhi. In the subsequent self-arising, free from conceptualization and fabrication, the various appearances of luminosity are the Nirmāṇakāya. Although clear, the non-conceptual, free from grasping and being grasped, is the Dharmakāya. The luminosity of prajñāpāramitā, clear and without conceptuality, itself arising inseparably from the means of great bliss, is the Sambhogakāya. All three of these are of one taste, inseparable and unified, the ultimate body of great bliss. Or, in the Clear Words, when abiding in self-arising (159), since no color or shape, etc., is established, the Dharmakāya is the ultimate self-arising. Wisdom is the wisdom of the dharmadhātu. The arising of emptiness as various forms is the self-arising of the Nirmāṇakāya. Wisdom is like a mirror. The intermediate bliss is the ultimate self-arising of the Sambhogakāya. Wisdom is discriminating awareness. These three are inseparable in nature, so great bliss is the result, the ultimate self-arising of the four bodies. Wisdom is the wisdom of equality. Since the four bodies spontaneously accomplish activities, it is the wisdom of accomplishing activities. That aspect of non-conceptuality is the wisdom of suchness. The non-conceptual appearing as various forms is the wisdom of all-encompassing knowledge. Being inseparable, it is called the indivisibility of the wisdom of the dharmadhātu. As it is said, it should be understood.
