Yes, about one hundred and some, death is uncertain, death is uncertain. Like this, may the long-lived be long-lived, may the short-lived be short-lived, both long-lived and short-lived, are the same at the time of death. Like this, no matter what, it is not needed, not needed, etc., much is written. Among them, a person named Gaxi, who had accumulated many profound Dharma books, understood that he gave up his life (343) and practiced. Regarding generating certainty by relying on the story of Kharak Gomchung: When Kharak Gomchung was practicing in Andzong, in the Mdewu Karu cave, Poto-wa said, "In that cave over there, the Tsang Kharak Gomchung is practicing, listening little but practicing, like climbing Lagdum Rock." As he did this, he showed a slight smile, and the monks also rebuked him, and he stood up and left as if there was no danger of fighting or beating. The wild animals ran away from him. He saw that letters were written on the high places in the four directions where he lived. In the east, it was written: "The weak me suffers many unfortunate disasters, if stability is obtained, unfortunate disasters will become friends, like the fire of the forest and (344) sparks. Living alone is my summer vow." In the south, it was written: "The lord of death, the demon, will not stay, he keeps coming, there is no way to escape from there. Now I am controlled by sleep and laziness, when will I get a chance?" In the west, it was written: "No matter how one eats and dresses in this life, it will all be used up. After death, there is no way to strive for the fruit of enlightenment. Do not be attached to the enemies and families you have seized, it is most important to quickly accumulate great merit." In the north, it was written: "Life has no leisure, there is no end to idle talk, therefore, please enjoy the thoughts of the holy ones, rely on peaceful abiding in a monastery away from the hustle and bustle, and live alone like a rhinoceros horn (345)." Seeing these words, he lost his courage and certainty arose in him. When he went inside, the baby deer were sleeping with their heads on his lotus position. The yogurt that the deer ate was placed in front of each of their children. When he went inside, the baby deer all ran away, running behind their mothers. I said to him, "The wild animals run away from me, but they don't run away from you, why is that?" He said, "I have not eaten meat for five hundred lifetimes." He used to offer tsampa beer every day without getting tired of it, but now he says he wants to eat well.

After that, two servings of tsampa beer and two servings of year-old beer were offered to Potowa. He asked, "How do you practice? What is your experience in practice?" Kharakpa replied, "I meditate on the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment and the impermanence of death, thereby understanding liberation from attachment to this life. I meditate on the law of karma and the faults of samsara, thereby understanding liberation from unease. I meditate on loving-kindness, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment, thereby understanding liberation from solitary peace. I meditate on the absence of inherent existence in all phenomena, thereby understanding liberation from grasping and clinging." Hearing this, Potowa was very pleased and said, "You are not a small practitioner, but a great practitioner. You are an eloquent lion, a supreme being among humans." He praised him in this way many times. After that, from the rumors of them (347), master and servant, great fame arose, and the people of Ang invited him and made great offerings. They said, "You have no distinction between this place and other places, please stay here." He replied, "In my homeland, due to faith, the temple has fallen into disrepair, and practice will be disturbed. Therefore, I am also afraid of being disturbed. Circling the charnel ground, the body has no deception, and wisdom is naturally clear. Therefore, I am also afraid of being disturbed." He did not agree. He gave a horse and clothes to his fellow practitioner Wangdor and searched for a servant, but the brother did not sell the horse and clothes for silk. They said, "We will also invite you, this jewel of accomplishment, and let us practice." (348) He did not agree. They said, "Please give us one instruction." He said, "Guard your mouth." He said, "Guard your mouth, guard your mouth," and they said they did not understand the meaning of it. He said, "Now even the young monks want to become good scholars through practice. The stewards and administrators also want their own Dharma affairs to be completed smoothly, becoming people who do not need others to worry about them. So, do as they wish." After that, he went to Kharak Black Cave to practice. In the cave where he lived, if he stood up, his head would hit the edge of the rock and bleed. When he went to the door, there was a pile of thorns on the threshold, and he would be pricked by the thorns and bleed. He thought, "These two (349) should be cut off." But then he thought, "I might die now." So he didn't have time to cut them off either, and he practiced single-mindedly. Om Iti. Here, one lama said that the tongue practitioner was Khakyong Drakpa, but I think the tongue practitioner mentioned by the lama is Na.
