Not using it for the meaning of illusion, But following the meaning of delusion, you! What a rogue, a great evildoer! The root of delusion is one's own mind. When the root of one's own mind is severed, The delusion of the two graspers will be reversed. When practicing such austerities, No matter how much suffering arises, Enduring for the sake of endurance. Regarding the self-appearing nature of illusion, When one is accustomed and proficient, In divine realms such as Vajrasana, Observe (294) and practice. In pure lands such as Akanishta, To the Sambhogakaya Buddhas and others, Offering vast offerings, Observing with one's own wisdom, Practicing according to what is comfortable. During such times of practice, Generating joy and happiness, Is the Paramita of Diligence. Everything is the nature of illusion, The mind's thoughts arise like lightning, Demonstrating the meaning of illusion, Is the Paramita of Meditation. Thus, all appearances, sounds, and dharmas, Reside as if in illusion, Understanding as if in illusion, Is the other shore of the two graspers, Is the Paramita of Wisdom. The external six perfections are, All sentient beings of the six realms, Like kind parents, Guarding with loving hearts, Looking with compassionate eyes, Rescuing from suffering (295), Giving all possessions. Such a mother, Is equal to all sentient beings of the six realms, After life, the body is transferred, Becoming unremembered and unclear. All sentient beings of the six realms, Reside within samsara, Offering to the Three Jewels, serving the kind, Lamas, Giving alms to the lowly, To those with compatible dispositions, Giving the sublime Dharma. Building boats and bridges on water, Clearing dangerous paths and removing obstacles, Generating thoughts of great compassion, Knowing as illusion, there is no attachment, This is the Paramita of Giving. To all sentient beings of the six realms, Apart from beneficial actions, Abandoning all including the four harms, Knowing as illusion, there is no attachment, This (296) is the Paramita of Discipline. For the benefit of mothers, Bodhicitta, During the time of practice, The mind will not be confused, By the arising afflictions of attachment and aversion, Bodhicitta is like illusion.

Practice! That is the perfection of patience. For all phenomena that abide in this way, with the wisdom arising from the mind, from the perfect causes and conditions, thereby generating knowledge and then generating diligence, accomplishing whatever fruit is desired, that is the perfection of diligence. All of appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, abide without inherent birth. Appearing like an illusion without cessation, non-dual union, abiding in that state, that is the perfection of meditation. The yogi who knows this way, practices all phenomena. It is that which cannot be expressed by words (297). The nature of reality is beyond the mind. If one realizes it in this way, it is wisdom, said to be the perfection. Furthermore, it should be understood in this way. There are two kinds of four mudras, outer and inner. The method of practicing the inner mudra is, at the time of deluded sleep, at the time when dream karmas appear, realizing dreams as illusions by knowing dreams. At the time of accomplishment in the mind-made body, it is the samaya of realizing illusion. The imprint of illusion on the body of karmas, when sealed, is the samaya mudra. The action mudra is taught as follows: From the perfect and complete Buddha above, down to the smallest insect on a blade of grass, practicing the play of illusion, severing the connection of grasping and being grasped, and when one's own appearance is skilled as illusion, it is the basis for generating all qualities. (298) Because all actions are done, it is called the action mudra. The nature of the Dharma mudra is, when the dream merges into clear light, having the experience of emptiness, clarity, and bliss, one's own awareness appears in that way. The great Naropa also said, bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, are the nature of being co-emergent. That is the Dharma mudra. The great mudra is taught as follows: bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, for those who possess the illusory body, these are inseparable and united, therefore it is called the great mudra. The outer samaya of the four mudras, for all sentient beings of the six realms, the blessing of the seal of inherent non-birth, the nature appears like an illusion, the essence of benefiting others is without bias, that is the samaya mudra. The samaya of the action mudra is, relying on the deity (299) of the yidam, practicing as illusion, and whatever benefits beings should be practiced, in order to increase one's own experience.
