Even knowing, do not generate. On the basis of the three self-abidings, relax into yourself, and abide without grasping, without making any adjustments. If desire blazes up, take it as the essence of practice. There, clearly meditate, free from other conceptualizations. There, desire is not abandoned, but purified in its own place. There is no need to abandon what is to be abandoned, nor is there a need to seek an antidote. (178) Whatever arises, is without acceptance or rejection, appearing as bliss-emptiness without grasping, or as the Dharmakaya. Likewise, understand this for hatred and so on. Or, when the five poisons arise, there is no need to abandon them with antidotes. Nor is there a need for grasping with one's own stream of consciousness. Do not fabricate it, nor follow after it. On the basis of the three self-abidings, relax into your own nature, and abide without grasping. Without abandoning, it is purified in its own place, appearing as clear-emptiness, without grasping, as the three Kayas. Thus, the five afflictions are purified, and the five families transform into the five wisdoms. In the "Two Examinations" it says: A fragment of poison, causes all beings to die. If one understands the nature of poison, poison pierces poison. Likewise, for one seized by wind, give food of Mon beans (179). Rather than administering an opposing medicine, wind strikes wind. Purify conceptualization with conceptualization, purify existence with existence. Just as water enters the ear, draw it out with other water. Likewise, the conceptualizations of things, should also be thoroughly purified. Just as burning with heat, also burn with fire. Likewise, burning with the fire of desire, burn with the fire of desire. The inexhaustible karma of beings, whatever binds them, if one has the means, one will be liberated from the bonds of existence. As the Sambuta says: Purify desire with desire, subdue hatred with hatred, subdue ignorance with ignorance, (180) subdue pride with pride, subdue jealousy with jealousy. Therefore, the key to meditation is: if you get lost in understanding, you will not have inner experience. Explanation is language, writing is letters, understanding is the realm of the mind. Meditation is cultivation without generating Bodhicitta, and not knowing how to cultivate. To cultivate it, there is nothing deeper than mindfulness. That is also recognizing the spontaneously arising awareness, relaxing into yourself, and abiding without grasping.

Therefore, if one abides in this, it will not be abandoned, but will be purified, and when arising and liberation occur simultaneously, concepts will appear as the Dharmakaya. As it says in the Bodhicaryāvatāra: "If the mind-elephant is not examined with the rope of complete mindfulness, all fears will disappear, and all happiness will come into hand." Furthermore, when the concepts of the five poisons suddenly arise, recognize them, and do not forcefully abandon them. (181) For this state, which is not tainted by the clinging of the Svātantrika, whatever arises, keep it in its original state, without any modification. Thus, it will not be abandoned, but will be purified, and at the moment of self-liberation, afflictions will appear as wisdom. Saraha says: "Not abandoning and without taint, possessing wisdom." Niguma says: "In the sky of Dharmakaya, from the cloud of concepts, look at the lightning of the five poisons as great wisdom." Therefore, afflictions and concepts are different expressions of the same name, as it says in the Mother Tantra: "The afflictions of Bodhisattvas are concepts, and what should be abandoned are concepts." So, between afflictions and wisdom, or between concepts and Dharmakaya, there is a difference between knowing and not knowing, realization and non-realization, understanding and not understanding. Furthermore, for the debate of scriptures and (182) the path of transforming concepts into Dharmakaya, realization is the same, but the former is lost in the realm of understanding. The latter is in the state of abiding without any modification, the realization of abiding itself will appear as non-conceptual, self-aware, self-illuminating awareness, which is the realization of self-awareness. As it says in the Two Examinations: "The wisdom of one's own awareness, transcends the path of speech, is the object of practice, this is for the sake of the order of blessings, such is the omniscient wisdom." And "Self-awareness itself is purity, purity is not liberation by another, because the reality of the object is pure, therefore it is the supreme bliss of one's own awareness." Therefore, the nature of realization is considered to be manifest from the beginning, or pure without bondage and liberation, or abiding in the essence of Dharmakaya. Therefore, directly seeing and realizing the face of the wisdom of self-awareness. (183) Furthermore, at the moment when any appearance arises, if one does not cling to the six consciousnesses, then, this ordinary consciousness, which has not been fabricated by anyone, through itself recognizing itself, can see the true, Dharmakaya, or the self-face of reality, which is called the Great Seal of Self-Liberation. Abhisamaya.
