Merely understanding these different aspects is the illusion of understanding. Third, through wisdom, all conditioned phenomena such as seeds, sprouts, fruits, and the impermanence of coarse and subtle are regarded as unreal, and through instantaneous examination and analysis, the clinging to reality in appearance is slightly diminished, which is the illusion of examination and analysis. Fourth, by the power of practicing the instructions, the coarse clinging to reality in appearance gradually disappears, and all appearances vanish into emptiness like mist, which is the illusion of practice. Fifth, neither appearance nor emptiness has inherent existence, transcending extremes, without distinction, and natural arising is more intense, which is the natural arising of illusion. Sixth, appearance and emptiness are inseparable, transcending extremes, naturally arising, inexpressible, beyond thought, arising without interruption, which is the illusion of realization, transcending extremes. The venerable Ratnabhirya believes there are four: (622) namely, the illusion transformed by karma, the illusion transformed by conditions, the illusion transformed by dharma, and the illusion transformed by wisdom. As the skillful illusionist said: The illusion transformed by karma is all sentient beings in the six realms. The illusion transformed by conditions is the image in a mirror, and so on. The illusion transformed by dharma is the monks in my retinue. I am the perfectly complete Buddha, the illusion transformed by wisdom. Thus it is said. First, by practicing the three karmas of black, white, and mixed, the six realms of beings each manifest different appearances, which is the illusion of karma. Second, like the image in a mirror of the four seasons, or placing a crystal ball on various colored cloths, thereby manifesting various colors, this is the illusion of conditions. Third, all those gathered to listen to the Dharma are considered to be the illusion transformed by the Dharma (623) of the Sangha of monks. Fourth, the perfectly complete Buddha is the illusion transformed by wisdom. Lama Kyergangpa believes there are three: the illusion of the karma and afflictions of sentient beings, the illusion of various experiences and appearances for yogis, and the illusion of the pure activities of the Tathagatas. As the "Non-Dual Victorious King Sutra" says: Through the wonderful transformations of various illusions, natural purity arises, which for yogis is the fruit of accomplishment, various experiences and appearances. All sentient beings in the three realms.
