Having completely abandoned, towards the Thangka with characteristics, with the attitude of an elephant, look without distraction for a moment. If distracted, the path of the yogi will deteriorate. Just like a clear crystal ball, when sunlight shines on it, rainbows appear, the deity's form is clear and empty, without inherent existence, it is the nature of union, free from extremes. Like this, towards the Thangka, the light of the sky, look clearly without tiring. Become accustomed and stable for three months, day and night the deity's form will naturally arise. That is the inseparability of the three bodies. After that is stable, oneself and the various appearances of the outer world, the mind, the clear, empty, great bliss deity's form, inseparable three bodies within oneself, strive without distraction in the four activities. From the generation and completion stage, union, free from extremes, view the recitation of mantras as unborn, self-sound. With six months of accustomed practice, the accomplishment of the three bodies will undoubtedly occur. Ask the supreme guru about that meaning, the three bodies will be accomplished within months and years. The intention of the Victorious Ones is the true word, sealed with the single lineage vajra seal. The practice of taking the three bodies as the path is complete. After offering five hundred gold coins to the wisdom dakini, I, the yogi Khyunpo, experienced it for three months. End. Homage to the great bliss, spontaneously accomplished, uncreated. Regarding the nature of the three bodies, there are three: the basis, the three bodies' self-abiding nature; the path, the three bodies' path practice; the result, the three bodies' sole transformation. First, from the mind's nature, unborn emptiness, unobstructed, various appearances arise and appear. Like this, the mind's nature, clear light, great bliss, union, the three bodies primordially abiding, is the basis, the three bodies' self-abiding nature. Second (25), the path practice has two aspects: showing the profound meaning, and showing it in detail. First, with the arising of bodhicitta beforehand, the seed syllable or, in an instant, oneself as the deity's form, clear, empty, blissful nature, look without distraction. Becoming accustomed to this, the clear, empty, blissful union deity's form, the nature of light, will naturally arise day and night. That is the actual Victorious One possessing the three kayas. Like this, the deity's form, clear, empty, blissful, generation and completion stage, union, that itself is not fixated on anywhere. In that very state, form appearance is empty, recitation sound is empty, view the indivisible self-sound.

Should be recited. Then, although one's own mind outwardly manifests as various appearances, one should view all these appearances as the deity's form, inseparable from appearance and emptiness, possessing the nature of great bliss and luminosity (26). Recite the mantra as before. In this way, the best will achieve enlightenment in three months, the middling in one lifetime, and the lowest will certainly attain enlightenment in the bardo. As it is said in the Root Text of the All-Liberating Intentions: "Upon the deity's form of clear emptiness and great bliss, take the three kayas as the path, recite and repeat. In three months, one lifetime, or the bardo, one will attain the Sambhogakaya of the Victorious Ones." So it is said. Secondly, with bodhicitta as the preliminary, through the five stages of manifest enlightenment, or the three rituals, or the seed syllable, or in an instant, one's own self becomes the deity, clear emptiness inseparable, possessing the nature of great bliss and luminosity. Having become accustomed to the inherent nature of the three kayas, and the deity's form of inseparable great bliss and luminosity, free from all stains of grasping at the appearance of light, not stolen by other conditions, it arises spontaneously day and night. That is, the essence of the deity's luminous form (27) is appearance. Its emptiness is the union of appearance and emptiness, like a moon in water. Moreover, since emptiness arises from the unborn without obstruction as the deity's form, it is the union of emptiness and clarity, like a rainbow. Thus, when clarity and emptiness, and the union of emptiness and clarity, arise blissfully, it is the wisdom of uncontaminated great bliss. Alternatively, the deity's form is empty as soon as it appears, and appears as soon as it is empty. Therefore, the inseparability of appearance, emptiness, clarity, and emptiness manifests as the four kayas and five wisdoms of great bliss. Know that this does not depend on other appearances or arisings, but is self-arisen. Among these, the deity's luminous form is the Nirmanakaya, the essence of emptiness is the Dharmakaya, the absence of inherent existence is the Sambhogakaya, and the indivisibility is known as the great bliss kaya. Therefore, the deity's form, clear emptiness inseparable, is the union of great bliss, generation, and completion stages. Not (28) fixating on anything whatsoever, in this state, the mantra's appearance is emptiness like a rainbow, the sound of recitation is emptiness like an echo in a valley, and one should view its meaning as the unobstructed arising of the unborn's own sound. Among these, the appearance as mantra is the blissful Sambhogakaya, the emptiness at the time of appearance is the Dharmakaya, the luminosity like an echo is the Nirmanakaya, and the inseparability of bliss, emptiness, and clarity is the Svabhavikakaya. Similarly, one's own mind, from emptiness and unbornness, unobstructed, manifests as various objects.
