He said that he did not see because he knew that there was no seer and seen. Second, the actual text. The four lines of the Immortal Vajra are: (210) "In that, there is no cause for sickness or death, Samsara and Nirvana are not established, The one who moves and the one who is moved are separated, Therefore, the immortal is self-liberated." This is the only shloka. The first two lines explain in detail, and the last two lines briefly indicate. That is, in the essence of realizing the deity self-mind Mahamudra, there is no cause for sickness. Does the body get sick? Does the mind get sick? The body is an inanimate object like a corpse, without the ability to be sick or be made sick. The mind is free from the three stages of arising, dwelling, and ceasing. The one who is sick, the one who makes sick, the one who is sick, and the way of being sick, none of them are established at all. The mature, substantial body is purified by light and disappears. The mind is the appearance of the deity's body, the Wheel of Bliss Vajra, father and mother. Since nothing other than the mind (211) is established, there is no agent of sickness. Because there is no agent, sickness itself is not established. Because it depends on this, the object of sickness is not established. Therefore, the state of sickness, such as pain, is not established at all. All of this is just the mind appearing in various forms due to the power of delusion. And here, the mind that appears in this way has been established as the Wheel of Bliss Vajra, father and mother. Similarly, there is no cause for death. Death is just the appearance of arising and ceasing due to the delusion of mental thoughts. When the mind itself appears as the Wheel of Bliss Vajra, father and mother, in its essence, there is no one who dies, what dies, the one who dies, or the way of dying, not even a particle (212). Moreover, samsara is just the vast delusion of the self-mind being defiled by afflictions, which is labeled as samsara. Apart from that, there is no true establishment at all. The wandering samsara is not established. Because samsara is not established, the Nirvana to be attained, which is liberation from samsara, is also not established. Buddha is just a name for the pure appearance of the self-mind's inexpressible essence being purified by the path. If the Buddha were established outside of the self-mind, then it would not be possible to enter the Buddha's interior or mix and merge with the Buddha. Therefore, there is no way to become a Buddha. Because the Buddha is the appearance of the self-mind, the mind arises

Knowing the naked face of one's own nature, free from the three cessations, is recognizing the Buddha of the ground stage (213). Maintaining that continuity without distraction in the state of the deity's form, the Great Seal, is the Buddha of the path stage. Gradually, the ordinary illusory appearances become less and less clear, and fade away. Pure appearances become clearer and more stable, thereby manifesting the Buddha of the fruition stage, it is said. In short, suffering such as illness in the body and the appearance of death in the mind, and the intense thoughts of attachment and aversion that they represent, even unbearable ones, whatever subtle or gross good or bad thoughts arise, do not follow them. Whatever thoughts arise, recognize them as mind. Decide that the mind is the deity's form, the Great Seal. Clarify its appearance through the path, and without engaging in grasping onto it, let it rest naturally. For example (214), whatever is seen in the field of vision, from large Mount Meru and houses to small ants, be certain that these appearances are merely appearances of that mind, and do not exist independently of the mind. Let the mind rest without grasping in the state of the deity's form, the Great Seal. In short, there is no difference between meditation and post-meditation on this path, except for whether one is standing or not. Therefore, at all times and in all circumstances, maintain the deity's form, the Great Seal, in its own state without engaging in grasping, it is said. Second, the meaning of the brief instruction is: Thus, a person who has determined that all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are the deity's form, the Great Seal, at the time of death, knows that the dying, the act of dying, and the one who dies are all inexpressible, thereby separating from the object of transference and the act of transference, and death will certainly attain Buddhahood in the clear light (215) Dharmakaya. There, it is called the deathless self-liberation, which is liberation by recognizing that one's own mind abides in the inexpressible union. For example, just as a snake's knot unties itself, or just as recognizing the entanglement of a rope releases the grasping of a snake, one is liberated by recognizing oneself, it is said. Third, the subsequent part. The faults of not recognizing one's own mind as the deathless self-liberation, and the benefits of recognition, of the two, first is: Yogis who do not recognize in this way, even if they practice for countless eons, will not achieve it, they will only go down the wrong path, it is said. That is, not recognizing the clear light union of one's own mind appearing as the deity's form, the three poisons
