I, from the lineage of lamas between the wise and virtuous Buddha, each letter arises in sequence. Here, the Vajra verses have three meanings: the head and the meaning of entering. The first has the meaning of the name and two prostrations of translation. The first has the actual meaning of the name and two explanations of it. The first is: (179) Holy Land. Of the four Indian languages, in Sanskrit: Śrī Amāra Jñāna Mahānāmaḥ. When translated into the language of the Tibetan snowy land, Śrī means auspicious. Mara is the demon of death, and adding the negative particle A before it means immortal. Jñāna Mahā means great wisdom. Nāma means name. The second is: Auspicious means that all sentient beings in samsara are exhausted by the great river of suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death. The chief of all sufferings to be purified, or the other is death. When one realizes one's own mind as inexpressible, one knows that all that can die and all that dies are separated, therefore, it is the protector who saves from the suffering of death, or becomes auspicious. Immortal means that ordinary people (180) do not recognize that the nature of the conceptual thoughts of the dying and the dead is not established, and they experience the suffering of death by clinging to reality. Because they cannot attain Buddhahood in the state of the clear light Dharmakaya at the time of death, they must again experience the cycle of suffering such as bardo, birth, and death. Relying on the instructions of the holy lama, one recognizes one's own mind as the clear light union, the deity body Mahamudra, which is free from all extremes of expression, and one decides and continues to practice it. Based on this, one knows that the nature of the dying, the dead, the cause of death, and the manner of death are all unestablished. Therefore, when a yogi obtains accomplishments, among the four times of sleep, dreams, sexual union, and death, the main one is the moment of death itself, which becomes (181) an inspiration for virtuous deeds, and thus obtains the supreme accomplishment. Wisdom is that such a manifestation of one's own mind as the deity body Mahamudra is not something suddenly fabricated, but is the knowledge that is inherently established from the beginning. Great means that there is nothing more superior to that wisdom. The second is that at the beginning of the translation, the translator prostrates to such wisdom, that is: I prostrate to the auspicious immortal wisdom!

Second, regarding the content of the text, it begins with a brief mention of the lineage, then explains in detail from the perspective of practice, and finally summarizes the key points, concluding the entire text. The first part is from "Victorious Sambhogakaya Vajradhara" to "The wisdom body arises spontaneously (182)." This section explains that the wisdom Ḍākinī did not rely on other lineages, such as the lamas of ordinary individuals, but directly heard from the Victorious Sambhogakaya Vajradhara himself, which demonstrates the reliability of the lineage. What was heard? It was heard, "The self-sound of deathless wisdom," which means hearing the self-sound that reveals deathless wisdom, as described above, which is the vow to explain. So, to what kind of object should such a key be shown? The text says, "For those with faith, empowerment, and vows." As stated in the scriptures, for those without faith, etc. If there is no trust in the lama and the key, it is like having a grasping hook but no object to grasp, unable to receive blessings, and unable to generate experience and realization from it. Therefore, one must have unwavering and undeviating faith in the lama and the key, not just verbally. Moreover, because this itself is the essence of the meaning of all the tantra kings of Vajrayana in general, and especially the Anuttarayoga Tantra, it is the heart essence of the path. Therefore, it is necessary to fully receive the ripening empowerment, and the root and branch vows obtained during the empowerment must not be violated, and one must diligently protect the vows. Merely possessing these three points is not enough to directly realize the true nature of one's own mind, the Mahāmudrā. Therefore, the text says, "Rely on the supreme lama and realize this meaning." The supreme lama mentioned here refers to a lama who has fully received the oral transmission key of the glorious Shangpa Kagyu, and who has practiced and experienced it himself, and is able to show it to others without fabrication or adulteration. One must please such a supreme lama through various means, and practice according to the uninterrupted key of the lineage, thereby realizing the deity body Mahāmudrā that has existed from the beginning in one's own mind. So, that person, that path
