In all places, appearances are the body; sounds are speech; deciding in memory and thoughts is mind; and devotion is the deity's form; appearances are one's own mind. (121) The mind is like an illusion, without inherent existence, or severing thoughts and desires. Alternatively, act without separating from recognition. Remembering the kindness of the lama establishing one in the profound natural state, always perform the seven-branch offering of prostration and praise to the lama and yidam as one, and accumulate merit. When various experiences arise from this, practice in conjunction with the illusory body that causes the six realms to appear as illusions, dream practice, increasing, manifesting, and transforming. This is the essence. In taking the lama as the path: relying on appearances, take the lama as the path. Likewise, have devotion to the lama, gratitude to him, accumulate merit with him, and take self-arising as the path. In taking the yidam as the path: appearances are the yidam, pure appearances accumulate merit, the self-arising union deity's form, and in taking illusion as the path: appearances are one's own (122) mind, illusory dreams, and taking clear light self-arising as the path is to be understood in this way. Thus, know appearances as the lama and yidam, know that as one's own mind, and that self-arises as clear, empty bliss like an illusion. This was composed by Kunga Nyingpo Taranatha. May there be auspiciousness! The essence of deathless self-liberation is to be practiced like the preliminary and subsequent six dharmas. Pray to realize the deathless self-liberation of one's own mind. On the crown of the self-bliss supreme coemergent father and mother is a blue Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) and a red Baṃ. From these two, light rays arise, shining brilliantly, unparalleled. Whatever the light rays touch becomes extremely clear and bright, and coarse and subtle particles such as flesh, blood, and bones are purified. Meditate on the manifestation of the pure body. The light rays of these two (123) purify from the crown of both to the soles of the feet in stages. Hold the mind on the clarity of the body color, face, hand gestures, ornaments, and clothing like a rainbow. This is only a mental appearance. Decide in this way. Finally, the radiance of the self-aware nature, free from grasping one's own mind, the power that is uninterrupted anywhere, merely appears as the deity's form, empty at the very moment of appearance. One's own mind is free from the three: arising, ceasing, and abiding. In all sessions, know that all appearances are like the deity's form, an illusion, and recognize that all desirable qualities are the self-appearance of the deity's great bliss.

This was spoken by the monk Kunga Nyingpo Taranatha, at Chokor Lhassa. Mahabhumpatinarashentrasharasavijayaparamabhanjananamahanayaterahyachutyosakyabhiksubrijitam. Mangalanatarakuru. The lord of Sachen (124), the king of men, the king among men. The one who destroys the battlefield of others, the greatly victorious one. Requested by the command of the one with the name. The Shakya monk Spangwapa at the age of twenty. Mangalam. Collation completed. (125) From the glorious Shangpa Dharma cycle, the root verses of the immortal body's illusory wheel, the explanation of the condensed meaning of achieving immortality, the great bliss supreme giving resides. Homage to the Buddha. (126) Explaining the illusory wheel of the immortal body. Having prostrated to the feet of the venerable lama. Writing the condensed meaning of achieving immortality. First, stand and subdue the coarse wind. While standing on the cushion. With the palms of the hands, from the thighs to the ankles seven times, and from the back in the same way, smear upwards three times. Alternately swing the left and right hands three times each. Swing the two upper shoulders alternately left and right three times each. After clapping the hands, move the eyes three times, and the head (127) turns three times. Then, place the right foot on the ground, and place the heel of the left foot on the right thigh. With the hands forming the ring finger mudra, bending the middle and ring fingers, placing the thumb in between, and extending the index and little fingers, the left palm faces upwards in front of the chest. The index finger of the right hand blocks the nostril, and rotate to the right together with extending the arm. Rotate to the left in reverse. Lowering the right foot is the same as the first of the three root verses. Block the nostrils with both hands, and then stretch out in various directions. At that time, the three exhalations (128) are clearly visible. Then, stretch both hands forward with the fingers together, and together with hugging and clapping the shoulders, exhale "Ha" three times, and finally sit down greatly. At this time, the body is subdued. The mind is in the lotus posture, practicing vase breathing. Then, slide both hands from the thighs to the chest, and stretch forward. Then, hug and clap the shoulders three times. At the same time, stretch out while bending the right fingers. With the palm of the left hand, slide upwards from the upper arm to the wrist, and smear downwards from the wrist, finally clapping the palm under the armpit three times. Again, hug both hands.
