Therefore, at the time of death, because of being free from all that is to be transferred, that which transfers, and the manner of transferring, at that time one's own mind is the immortal self-liberation, self-luminous, self-empty. Afterwards, there are two parts. First (101), the fault of not being immortal is: Thus, if one's own mind is not grasped as immortal, but is grasped as true and false and as permanence, even if one practices for countless eons, it will only be a useless effort, and it will only be entering a wrong path. Second, the qualities of realization have six parts. First, there are five ways to attain Buddhahood through remembrance at the time of death. First, even if one has committed the five inexpiable sins, one can attain Buddhahood through remembrance. The "who" means that even if someone has completed the karma of the five inexpiable sins, such as killing one's father, at the time of death or at other times, by remembering or hearing or physically touching the four lines of the immortal vajra verse, even for a moment or a short time, the suffering of cutting the key point (102) will be purified in its own place, and one will attain Buddhahood as the sambhogakaya in the bardo. There is no need to mention those with minor obscurations. Second, even without remembrance, one can attain Buddhahood. If, due to causes such as the body being a solitary practitioner, or the mind being unconscious, or being drunk, one does not remember at the time of death, will one not attain Buddhahood? No. For example, just as one can load a cannon and fire it once, and then fire it whenever needed later, so too, through the key points of previous remembrance, hearing, and touching, one will attain Buddhahood as the sambhogakaya in the bardo. Third, even if a bad connection occurs, one can attain Buddhahood. Connection, such as if a bad connection like hatred disturbs the stream of consciousness and one dies, will one not attain Buddhahood? No. For example, just as when a stone is thrown into a clear, emerald-green (103) pond, ripples will appear, but after a while it will become clear as before, so too, through the previous key points, one will attain Buddhahood as the sambhogakaya in the bardo. Fourth, even if there is no time to meditate, one can attain Buddhahood. Steadfastly, meaning, if there is no time to meditate steadfastly, and one dies immediately after hearing, will one not attain Buddhahood? No. For example, just as the sun sets on the fifteenth day, and the moon rises, and light continuously emerges, so too, through the key points of remembrance or hearing at this time or at the time of death, one will attain Buddhahood as the sambhogakaya in the bardo. Fifth, the way in which one attains Buddhahood is: One's own mind, meaning, one's own mind is from the unborn dharmakaya.

Unimpeded form arises as self-appearance. Until the ocean of samsara is empty, the benefit of others will spontaneously arise according to whatever needs to be tamed (104). This is the essence of the Dharmakaya, the form of the Sambhogakaya, the activity of the Nirmanakaya, the great bliss of union, and should be known as the Svabhavikakaya. Second, death is shown as conceptual thought: What is called death is conceptual thought about death. Conceptual thought is mind. Since the mind has no inherent nature, realizing that there is nothing to die is the highest faculty. Even realizing this meaning for a moment, one goes into the sky of naturally pure, inseparable bliss and emptiness. Third, all Buddhas rely on this to attain Buddhahood: The so-called three times means that the Buddhas of the three times realized this immortality, so they subdued the demons at night, attained Buddhahood at dawn, and turned the wheel of Dharma three times in order for the benefit of others (105). Fourth, it is obtained through the kindness of the holy ones: Therefore, it is the mother who gives birth to the Buddhas of the three times. Therefore, the essence of the heart of the Buddhas, the complete and perfect Buddhas, or like the essence, although it is taught in many sutras and tantras, if it is not through the blessing of the holy lama, the oral transmission is obtained through the meaning of the unwritten word, then no other method such as hearing and thinking can be obtained. Therefore, it is obtained through the kindness of the lama. Therefore, abandon the lineage of broken vows, broken vows, and mixed possessions, and rely on the lama who has not lost the lineage and has the characteristics, and who becomes the supreme realization, and be respectful yourself, and pleasing the lama is the key. Fifth, faith is adorned with scriptures: The so-called "degeneration" (106) is when the five degenerations of time, life, and enjoyment are rampant. When the minds of individuals are disturbed by wrong views and doubts arise about the instructions, it is necessary to quote the scriptures of the sutras and tantras in order to generate faith. From the Two Examinations: "All beings arise from me. The three places of the three existences also arise from me. Because I pervade all of this, I do not see the otherness of beings." And: "With reality and without reality, for the sake of realizing reality, I am the Buddha. Why are the lazy, ignorant ones not aware of me?" And from the Praise of Names: "The nature of all dharmas
