Deceit and trickery are everywhere, and this is called the black dharma. To deceive others and stab them in the back in order to achieve one's own goals, even cheating on weights and measures, these are black dharmas. (610) The antidote to this is the white dharma, which is to benefit all sentient beings and to abide in happiness and with a superior intention. Benefit and happiness refer to the happiness of this life and the next, and the superior intention refers to taking on the burden of others oneself. Furthermore, one should speak honestly with a sincere heart without resorting to deceitful means, and one should learn to be like parents and children, with no distinction between inside and outside. If one must abide in the superior intention of benefiting all sentient beings, where is there an opportunity to deceive others? These white dharmas must be taken very seriously as the core of practice. (611) From today onwards, I will never commit the four black dharmas, and I will learn the four white dharmas to the best of my ability. This is the forty-fourth mind-training sequence. Here, there is also a method of performing one mind-training sequence for each pair (of black and white dharmas). If one's intelligence is low, doing this will generate certainty and will become better. Furthermore, remembering the benefits of generating bodhicitta, and taking bodhicitta six times day and night are also included in what is to be learned. Not abandoning sentient beings, training in the two accumulations, and training in each pair (of black and white dharmas), it is said that there are eight things to be learned, and how should they be appropriately (612) applied? After the compassion instruction has passed, taking bodhicitta, and then cultivating these aspiration instructions, the order will become neat and good. Alternatively, first making these mind-training sequences proficient, and then taking bodhicitta in between, so that when formally taking it, one will generate greater certainty, so doing it at this time is also good. Alternatively, after all the instructions have been completed, taking bodhicitta before taking the bodhisattva vows is also acceptable, and it should be done according to the specific circumstances. Second, training in entering the bodhicitta is as follows: those who wish to attain Buddhahood must (613) train in the bodhisattva conduct, and if they wish to attain Buddhahood but do not train in the bodhisattva conduct, it is like wishing for a good harvest but not cultivating the land. In general, even just aspiring to bodhicitta is beneficial.

If you do not practice the Bodhisattva conduct extensively, merits will not increase, so you must learn to practice. The essence of practice is the six paramitas and the four ways of gathering disciples. The six paramitas and the four ways of gathering disciples are not separate. Practice the six paramitas yourself, teach others with words, and let others do it. This is also the six paramitas, and also the four ways of gathering disciples. I (614) should diligently cultivate the ten paramitas as the core. That is, no matter when, I must repeatedly train myself, thinking that I must devote myself to practice now. At this time, do not violate the vows and practice, and you must start from today to devote yourself to practice as much as possible. This is to generally cultivate the mind of entering the path. The forty-fifth mind training step. If I want to practice the Bodhisattva conduct, I must first learn the paramita of generosity. There are three types of generosity: material generosity, fearlessness generosity, and Dharma generosity (615). I will give material generosity to all sentient beings and make them feel satisfied. I don't have that much ability now, but in the future, I will even take the throne of the Chakravartin and give it away. I must train myself in this way of thinking. Now, I must also combine my abilities and, without violating the Dharma, give food and clothing as much as possible. Thinking that even if I have nothing to eat, I must find a way not to let beggars return empty-handed. This is not just contemplation, but must be implemented in practice, and I must learn in this way. Fearless generosity. (616) I will protect all sentient beings from the fear of disease, the fear of weapons, the fear of thieves, the fear of poison, the fear of ferocious beasts and poisonous snakes and other evil creatures, the fear of cliffs, the fear of dangerous roads, the fear of fire, the fear of water, the fear of being executed, etc., and even all obstacles such as the fear of evil destinies. I must practice by thinking in this way. Now, I must also actually try my best to protect them from the fear of diseases, demons, enemies, and the four elements, and cultivate in this way. (617)
