If I, a non-god and a god of the desire realm (549), and even the gods of the form and formless realms, have such suffering, then all of this samsara of the three realms is of the nature of suffering, a container of suffering, and is completely surrounded by suffering. Suffering blazes like fire, surges like water, wanders like wind, and presses down like a mountain. Wherever one dwells is a place of suffering, whatever body one takes is a body of suffering, whoever one befriends is a friend of suffering, whatever one enjoys is an enjoyment (550) of suffering. Suffering also has three aspects: the suffering of suffering, which is all suffering of feeling such as heat, cold, and disease. The suffering of change, which includes life and enjoyment, and even the bliss of meditation, which is all pleasant feeling. The suffering of conditioning, which is the basis of both of those sufferings, the aggregates of clinging to conditioning alone are the source and field of all suffering. When it only possesses neutral feeling, it is only named the suffering of conditioning. If one cannot be liberated from this, one cannot be liberated from the other (551) two, so one should meditate on being liberated from the three sufferings in any way possible. The twenty-ninth object of focus. Now, as stated above, birth is suffering, aging is suffering, sickness is suffering, death is suffering, meeting with the unpleasant is suffering, separation from the beloved is suffering, and not finding what one desires is also suffering, these are the seven sufferings. The eighth is, in short, the five aggregates of clinging are suffering, and that is also suffering in five ways, that is, becoming a vessel of manifest accomplishment of suffering (552), is a supplication for suffering in future lives and beyond. The vessel of suffering that depends on manifest accomplishment is that depending on the accomplishment of the aggregates, birth, aging, sickness, death, and all others are likely to occur. The two called the vessel of the suffering of suffering and the vessel of the suffering of change, these arise depending on the aggregates. Becoming the nature of the suffering of conditioning is the aggregates themselves

Knowing that this is the suffering of feeling. Meditate that all three realms of samsara are the nature of the eight sufferings. (553) Thinking about the eight sufferings is the thirtieth place of contemplation. There are other categories of suffering in this samsara. First, the fault of suffering due to impermanence is that enemies, friends, fathers, sons, places, bodies, enjoyments, etc., are all uncertain. As it is said: The father is the son, the mother is the wife. And so on. Second, the fault of not knowing satisfaction is that no matter how much sensual pleasure is enjoyed, there is no satisfaction, and no matter how much suffering is experienced, there is no weariness. As it is said: Each one is greater than the four great oceans. And so on. Third, (554) the fault of repeatedly abandoning the body is that one must experience death again and again. As it is said: Each self is a pile of bones. And so on. Fourth, the fault of repeatedly connecting to rebirth is that one must take endless rebirths. As it is said: The end of the mother is like a small cuckoo. And so on. Fifth, the fault of repeatedly changing between high and low is that even if one becomes Indra, one will fall to the ground, and even if one becomes a Chakravartin king, one will be born as a slave. In this one life, whether it is happiness or suffering, high or low, prosperity or decline, there is no trust at all. As it is said: Even if one becomes Indra, becoming worthy of worship in the world. And so on (555). Sixth, the fault of suffering from being alone and without companions is that one is born alone, one dies alone, one experiences old age and sickness alone, and one must go alone in the bardo. Therefore, all companions, friends, and lovers are meaningless. As it is said: Thus committing sins, accumulating merit. And so on. Thus, all of samsara is suffering from the nature of the six sufferings. Even if one is born in the peak of existence, it is easy to fall to the edge of the Avici hell. Suffering will only continue again and again. (556) It is like being in a burning house, like a merchant entering the island of the Rakshasis, like a nomad wandering lost in the wilderness. Therefore, one must repeatedly think about how to quickly escape from this. Focusing on the six sufferings is the thirty-first place of contemplation. Second, thinking about the cause - the origin of suffering: Then
