Knowing birth. That which is born is itself an illusion. Day and night, all activities should be abandoned, and the habit of intense desire arises. Regarding things that appear in this way, by the power of past habits, not clinging to them as permanent and real, then doubt about their reality will not arise. Even if doubt arises about a hundred things, if the net of existence can be destroyed, then regarding the impermanence of conditioned phenomena, knowing and being certain, what more needs to be said? Therefore, if the root of suffering in samsara—self-grasping—is abandoned, then that person will surely encounter happiness. Non-humans will also appear to make offerings and praises. With whatever desire precedes the initial arising of the mind, before the wisdom of warmth (713) arises, it should be known as the path of accumulation. The path of seeing, on impermanent illusion, because of practice, is therefore the path of joining. Warmth and the peak are samadhi. The five faculties are such that even for the sake of life, one does not commit sins, with strength and fearlessness, emptiness, and faith in the meaning of illusion, therefore it is called the faculty of faith. Regarding the practice of illusion that transforms naturally, if one becomes accustomed to it without interruption, generating the faculty of diligence, therefore it is called the faculty of diligence. The illusion born from diligence, not being taken away by distraction, abandoning all clinging to reality, therefore it is called the faculty of mindfulness. In the samadhi of mindful desire for illusion, not being distracted and becoming focused, because of the concentration of samadhi, it is the faculty of concentration. The illusion held by samadhi, individually examined with wisdom, knowing that phenomena are without inherent existence, knowing this is the faculty of wisdom. Being able to subdue all opposing factors, therefore it is called the five faculties. Having practiced in this way, all the sounds and phenomena that appear during the day will give rise to the experience of unreal illusion. It is time, place, and object. In a place of reality, holding onto dreams. No matter how many dreams are dreamed, they will not exceed four habits (714): virtue, non-virtue, unspecified, and the great wisdom of habitual strength. Therefore, a wise person, regarding dreams like golden visions, should accept and reject virtue and non-virtue. Combine dreams with the meaning of illusion. Merely grasping the dream is meaningful, because it is the premonitory sign of the fire of non-conceptual illusion self-arising, therefore it is warmth. Form

Ground and so on, appearance and emptiness are inseparable, Increase and decrease are many, it is illusion. Illusion and dream arise spontaneously, A slight occurrence is the peak. Furthermore, with memory, desire, devotion, Mixing the key points of blending and transferring, After combining, falling asleep and waking up, The previous dream is grasped, Meditate on the waking illusion as being no different. Moreover, without opening the eyes, The images of memory and thoughts, Having determined illusion and dream, Practice with strong intention. If illusions arise, repeatedly, All outer and inner vessels and contents, Having meditated on the support and the supported, That itself is illusion and dream, Repeatedly practicing is crucial. Samsara, unborn, joy and sorrow, This appearance that deceives and deludes, From the depths of the heart, with strong remorse, With strong intention, abandon the essence. If this life is not relinquished with wisdom, Whatever is done is meaningless suffering, Even if there are many attendants, it is like an anthill, (715) Enjoyment is impermanent, like clouds. Even if dwelling in the forest, it is like a wild animal, Even if skilled in terminology, it is like a parrot. Therefore, one who possesses thought, Should not be attached to this world. All conduct, appearance, and sound, Practice with the intention of falling asleep. Actual appearance and dream, There is not even one difference, To the unawakened, they appear as two. Therefore, there is nothing other than that. The warm sign, the five aggregates, With illusion, reverse the clinging to truth. On the true profound meaning of illusion, Without doubt or hesitation, Dedicate self and others' virtues. Body and life, the nature of loving-kindness, Sleep and drowsiness are not controlled. For the sake of destroying afflictions and habits, Possess the mindfulness and awareness of illusion. The sign of the peak is clothing and cushions, Without clinging to stains, the outer and inner body, Sentient beings are all absent, Without stinginess, body, speech, and mind, Without deceit and in a solitary place, Relying on the four joys to act. Forbearance and the supreme Dharma, Samadhi, The powers are of five kinds, When practicing illusion with faith and devotion, The demon transforms into the form of the Buddha, That is not Dharma, but a reversed mantra, Even if transformed, it does not change, the power of faith. With diligence, (716) in illusion, With the power of stability and also power, When reaching the end, even the gods, Cannot reverse the power of diligence.
