If you act according to the Buddha's teachings, It is the cause for attaining Buddhahood. Do not engage in too much self-proclaimed goodness, Align your body, speech, and mind with the Dharma. Views should be high and expansive, Conduct should be meticulous and timely. Meditation should be unwavering and continuous, When these three are complete, the fruit will ripen. Those who are preoccupied with seeking food and drink, Like merchants traveling around countries, Even with the name of great meditators, there is no essence, Therefore, you should settle in secluded mountains. Attachment to idle talk (386) and clinging to it, How can truthful words be accomplished? If possible, recite secret mantras, Otherwise, it is better to remain silent. Even if you settle your mind with conformity and guarding against negativity, Attachment and aversion will still increase. Since it is difficult to abandon these, Cut them off completely and discard them far away. When you have a little experience, If you develop attachment to goodness, you will be taken by demons. It's like climbing a mountain and falling into an abyss, The higher you go, the more careful you need to be. The instructions of the Guru's oral teachings, Do not waste them, put them into practice. Without greed or boasting, Meditate single-pointedly, and you will flourish. Thus it is said. This was said when some yogis from Lato Palung requested instructions (387). Namo Guru. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Homage to the Guru) To the one father, the perfect king, the Lama, Pray constantly without interruption. Bless me and my disciples to turn our minds to the Dharma, And to realize the mind's expanse like the sky. Now is the time when all favorable conditions are met, Meeting with a qualified master, At this time of receiving profound instructions, Be sure not to let it pass in vain. This body is a collection of flesh and blood, It is unreliable to trust in the mind of permanence. Do not postpone virtuous deeds, Put them into practice immediately. Those who have no experience but speak emptily, Carrying the empty words of emptiness on their lips, There is a danger of falling into the black abyss. Be meticulous and careful about karma and its results. (388) Devotion and longing should be continuous, Be diligent in praying to the Guru. But do not cling to it as real, For the Guru is not separate from your own mind. Wandering in samsara because of not knowing one's own face, Uncontrived compassion is very important. Deceived by unreal illusions, See all happiness and suffering as like dreams. This ordinary awareness of one's own mind, Without

No need to seek elsewhere, it is the Dharmakaya itself. Whatever arises as the manifestation of conceptual thoughts, understand it to be like water and waves. No matter how subtle or coarse the behavior, do not chase after the hypocrisy of outward show and inner reality, but cherish actions that are in accordance with the Dharma. A meditator who goes against the Dharma is just a futile 'Phat!' The practice should be a continuous cycle, being without action and without effort is extremely important. This should also be grasped with effortless (389) mindfulness. If left to its own devices, it will become confused and disoriented. This fruit of one's own mind becoming Buddha, fundamentally, does not originate from false emptiness, do not fall into the cliff of hope and fear, you need definite wisdom and certainty. All appearances are the Dharmakaya, there is no partiality or discrimination, but maintain your own nature with pure and genuine appearances. Please grasp the lineage of the Lama. Thus it is said. For a while, while residing in Tsang Yoru, all appearances manifested as teachers of introduction, therefore this Vajra Song was sung. Om Svasti (Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ स्वस्ति, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svasti, Chinese literal meaning: Om, auspicious!). I, am a yogi free from bias, in the beautiful season when flowers bloom. In the auspicious and prosperous land of Yoru, I remember the kindness of the Lord Lama in my heart. From the beginningless (390) cycle of samsara in the past, until now I have been wandering. In general, in this boundless cycle of samsara, the precious jewel that liberates sentient beings into Buddhahood, although the parents of the six realms are deeply kind, they are not companions who can help you escape samsara, no one can provide you with lasting advice. Report the thoughts in your heart to the Lama. This body composed of flesh and blood, when it will decay, there is no certainty at all. Those who have no confidence in being reborn in a good realm after death, please integrate awareness into your heart. I sought the Lama out of fear of death, striving to make the practice reach the depths of my bones. Even if I die now, I feel comforted in my heart. Don't you need an assurance that can put your mind at ease? This changing scene of the four seasons is one, (391) the circumstances of high and low, wealth and poverty are two, the changes in countries and regions are three, all are showing the impermanence of compounded phenomena. Farming that cannot be completed even after being done is one, nurturing but not receiving gratitude but instead being repaid with evil is two, drinking but not being satisfied with salty water is three, all are showing futility. The hustle and bustle of the city is one, the busy but meaningless bees
