Meditate on the clear form of the deity, free from conceptualization. The victorious Sambhogakaya naturally arises. The glorious one who bestows accomplishments by offering the body. The protector who saves from all fears. To the glorious protector, the precious guru, may I have unwavering devotion. May I constantly offer prayers without interruption. Meditate on all appearances as dreams and illusions. Take the path with faith and desire. May attachment and aversion dissolve in their own place and depart. May illusion without clinging naturally arise. Because of being free from the mind that grasps at illusion, rest in the unmade, natural state. May grasping and clinging thoughts dissolve in their own place. May clear emptiness, free from grasping, naturally arise. Because there are no faults or virtues in the nature of the nature of knowable things, the yogi who realizes that very nature engages in the meaning of non-acceptance and non-rejection. This dependent arising of appearances is perfected in the state of the unborn mother. Clear emptiness, free from grasping, arises in bliss. The four kayas of the result are spontaneously accomplished. By the virtue arising from that, may I dedicate it together with all sentient beings to the great, unconditioned enlightenment. This is the special characteristic of the Mahayana Dharma. Spoken by the Lama Shangton Rinpoche to the disciple Gyaltsen Bum. Complete.

All phenomena of samsara and nirvana, appear like the moon in water. Those who fully understand the lack of inherent existence, realize that phenomena are without inherent existence. The unparalleled yogi, in order to expand limitless activities. For beings on the plain of bliss, now is the time to guide them. Thus it is specially stated. The venerable one spoke to the wise and virtuous Delekpa the Vajra Song of the Great Perfection of Self-Liberation: Listen, son, wise and virtuous Delek Pal. In the past, you were also obscured by the darkness of delusion, and when you wanted to practice Dharma, you mixed it with the eight worldly dharmas. In order to accomplish the aspirations of the future life, (348) you should cultivate these practices and thoughts. Completely abandon the aspirations of this life, and completely let go of attachment to the eight worldly dharmas. Completely liberate yourself from attachment to face and maintenance, and completely cut off the connection between near and far. Pull out the stake of self-grasping samsara, and relax the thoughts of hope and fear. Cut off the bonds of food and clothing, do not be greedy for high positions, and occupy low places. Gladly accept renunciation and suffering, and throw away greed, hatred, and competition. Banish deception and evil thoughts from your homeland, and leave gluttony and hypocrisy in their place. Honestly keep the vows of the three vows, and abandon arrogance, conceit, and anger. Even if you are despised by everyone, cultivate patience, and ignore worldly enemies. Tame hatred in your own mind, (349) and abandon the thoughts of hoarding and stinginess. Take love and compassion as the basis of your mind, and for all divine and human dharmas. Take your own mind as a witness, and if you do not accomplish your wishes now. Then hope will eventually be shattered, relax in the natural state. Completely cut off the root of confusion, and look at your own mind without distraction. Hold on to mindfulness without forgetting, and if you do not recognize your own face. Even if you struggle in pain, you will only increase your troubles, and if you do not grasp the clear light during sleep. Even if you recognize the nature of your mind, it will be of little significance, and if you do not grasp the clear light in the bardo. The pain of the crucial moment will be like a thorn in the flesh, and if you do not obtain the freedom of your own mind. Even if you practice for hundreds of kalpas, it will only be in vain, (350) after the previous thought has ceased. When the next thought has not yet arisen, be in a state of bewilderment, in a state of clarity and without discrimination. In a state of being without support and free from the root, this present moment of awareness. Is your own mind, the dharmakaya free from elaboration, all appearances are your own mind. Your own mind, free from elaboration, is the dharmakaya.
