Mind is free from arising, ceasing, and elaboration. By knowing the suchness of the mind, even if one indulges in the five sensual pleasures, one does not deviate from the natural state of reality. For example, just as one who has gone to the golden island cannot find earth and stones even if one searches for them, in the great expanse of the equal Dharmadhatu, there is no abandoning, adopting, samadhi, or post-meditation. (237) When will it become manifest? At that time, it will become spontaneously accomplished. Like a wish-fulfilling jewel, it fulfills the hopes of beings. The three types of individuals, superior, middling, and inferior, should be understood according to the levels of their intelligence. Thus it is said. The wisdom dakini Sukhasiddhi, in the mandala manifested by the great glorious Biwapa, was fully empowered, and in one night, the realization of the eight attainments became manifest. Having directly met Vajradhara, she, inseparable from the Bhagavati Nairatmya, bestowed the essence of the instructions to the fortunate ones. Without indulging in the objects of the six senses, the path of mindless Nirvana, the Dharmadhatu of non-conceptualization, liberation from the mind is the Great Seal. Do not meditate, do not meditate, do not meditate with the mind. Meditating with the mind is the deluded wheel of conceptualization. (238) Conceptualization binds one to samsara; without the mind, there is no meditation. In the emptiness of the sky, devoid of awareness, subdue the root of the mind with awareness. Subdue the root and leave it relaxed. Thus it is said. The great accomplished master, the glorious Shavaripa, was personally taken care of and prophesied to achieve the supreme Mahamudra in the bardo. The chief of countless heroes and dakinis, the essence of the meaning of reality, the holder of the instructions of non-mentation. The victorious Maitripa, the non-dual Vajra, while dwelling in the guise of hiding in Vikramashila, the Sangha saw him enjoying wine and mudra, and expelled him from the monastery. On the Ganges River, he spread a seat of Sāla bark. Dressed in birch bark, he departed and sang this song. Relying on the Lama Jetsun is bliss, (239) drinking the nectar of instructions is bliss, personally experiencing it is bliss, having no experience at all is bliss, having a view without hope or fear is bliss, spontaneous accomplishment is also bliss, meditating without dualistic grasping is bliss, being without attachment is also bliss, acting without abandoning or adopting is bliss, being without fear is also bliss, mind with mind

Looking at the mother is bliss. Cutting off the wrong path of hope and fear is bliss. Visiting mountain hermitages and monasteries is bliss. The view without hope and fear is bliss. Abandoning homeland and relatives is bliss. Relying on alms for food is bliss. Eating great bliss as food is bliss. Wearing radiant light as clothing is bliss. Carrying the messenger as the path is bliss. Fixing the gaze on the tip of the nose is bliss. Having said this, he directly and unimpededly walked into the water. Everyone knew that he had attained accomplishment, felt regret, and prostrated to him from behind. That great lord master, at the Glorious Mountain in the south, upon touching the dust of the feet of Jetsun Rikhrodpa, at the time of bestowing the empowerment of Mahamudra, sang the Vajra Song in order to ascertain the reality of things. Hūṃ Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུཾ།,梵文天城体:हुँ हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽 吽). Saṃsāra and nirvāṇa are inseparable, they exist like water and waves. Buddhas and sentient beings are not two, like poison being transformed by mantra. Mind itself is one, yet manifests various appearances, like crystal changing color due to conditions. Although various things appear, they are all one's own mind, all waters entering the ocean have a salty taste. If you abandon existence and non-existence, that is the primordial mind, like the tracks of a bird in the sky. For the thick darkness of a thousand years (241), just as a small lamp can dispel it. The haze of saṃsāra, the thickness of attachment and hatred, also vanishes in a single moment of realizing one's own mind. By the union of skillful means and wisdom, the yogi pacifies the waves of suffering and conceptual thoughts in saṃsāra. Like a jewel placed between clear and turbid water, it is neither pervasive nor substantial, without coming or going. As soon as the realization of Mahamudra arises, the mind is vast and expansive like the sky. Clear and non-conceptual, like the sky, appearing yet without inherent existence, like the moon in water. Like a rainbow, clear yet without grasping. Like the bliss of youth, it cannot be spoken. It does not abide in any direction, it is free from all extremes. It is not stained by any direction, it has no defilement. Like wiping a crystal ball, it is without defilement. The mind without hope and fear is like a lion (242). Like a river, the uninterrupted mind of great bliss. Like the light of the sun and moon, it is free from all directions. Ema, this self-arisen is so wonderful! Yogi, leave it in its natural state! Do not make any alterations to it.
