Nā. Please repeat this oath of protection. Begin with "Chief Deity," etc. The third is the conclusion: Request forgiveness with the Hundred Syllable Mantra, and the conclusion of the action should not be visible. The explanation of the instructions of the Four Deities is complete. It is said: In the place where blessings arise, there is Kha Siddhi, and the oral transmission of the Four Deities from the Southern Guru. As was the intention of glorious Shangpa, it has been stated clearly and without concealment. The Shangpa Dharma is the practice of the later instructions and texts concerning Gu, called "A Cluster of Great Blissful Ears," composed by the Wise Hermit. The instructions on the embellishment of blessings are complete. Namo Guru Mahākālāya. Here, among the five commands of the Protector, there are empowerment, the inseparability of the Guru and the Protector, dispelling obstacles, bestowing the essence, and secret practice. Among these five, the first empowerment is said to have about thirteen different instructions. The main one is the instruction called "Eliminating All Obstacles" (page 351), which has three parts: preparation, main part, and conclusion. First, in a secluded place, in the center of the mandala dharma source, draw a blue-black triangular fire heap with the syllable Hūṃ. On top of that, place a cushion on which is placed a torma made of unprocessed black barley, a three-dimensional glorious food, surrounded by edge decorations, and erect a mirror decorated with a black arrow and banner. Behind it, if there is a painting of the Protector, display it. Surround it with offerings and tormas. Second, the main part consists of the stages of practice by the teacher and the stages of action for the disciples. First, with the self-generation and recitation of the yidam as a preliminary, visualize the mandala tormas in front as the Protector and his retinue, and offer offerings and tormas, etc., just as in the practice, torma ritual, and treasure trove of activities composed by Jetsun. Second, the disciples, having bathed and with flowers, should be seated in a row and say the following: For the benefit of all sentient beings equal to space (page 352), in order to attain the state of perfect enlightenment. For this purpose, please listen with a special intention to receive the profound torma empowerment of the swift-acting wisdom Protector, the six-armed Protector. In this regard, we have obtained the precious human body, which is difficult to obtain, and we have encountered the precious Buddha Dharma, which is difficult to encounter.

met. In this time when the essence of the teachings, the path of secret mantra Vajrayana, can be practiced, one must strive diligently in the Dharma from the depths of one's heart. When practicing the Dharma, in this degenerate age, favorable conditions are few and obstacles are many. As the scripture says, "Precious Dharma is rare, and there are many who harm it." Therefore, one should rely on a special Dharma protector. The practice of the Shangpa Kagyu lineage is different from the Tibetan custom of worshiping gods and demons. This is the tradition of the accomplished Tsangpa lineage, the Dharma of Kyungpo Naljor. He brought this six-armed Mahakala from India to Tibet. Kyungpo went to India and offered seven ounces of gold to the lama Maitripa Kosala Bhikshu, who was staying in a charnel ground, saying, "We Tibetans have little wealth, so please give us a method that quickly accomplishes wealth and has great signs." Maitripa said, "It is also called the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel, also called the Mahakala of the Wooden Pile, also called the Sandalwood Mahakala, also called the Great Compassionate Black Mahakala, also called the Wisdom (354) Mahakala Six-Armed One." It can save from the fears of this life and the bardo, can subdue gods, demons, and humans, can cause people, wealth, and possessions to arise spontaneously, can destroy all enemies, cannot be stopped by repulsion, all supreme and common attainments can be accomplished in months and years, accomplishing the supreme brings the common as a side effect, accomplishing the common brings the supreme as a side effect, this is the oral transmission. When asked where the lama obtained it, he replied, "I received it from glorious Shavaripa." Glorious Shavaripa was of the Brahmin caste, in the center of thirty-two great cities near glorious Drepung Monastery, in a place called Tripura, he was an expert in music. In the past, he pleased the Buddha with offerings of song and music (355). While he was practicing in a hut in the great Cool Grove charnel ground, he saw a loud sound of damaru and bells in the sky. The Mahakala of Wisdom appeared and said, "Son of my lineage, take my practice." Shavaripa wrote down this practice. Also, the venerable yogi
