Please bestow this empowerment upon me. Please bestow all the vows upon me. Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, please bestow these three refuges upon me. Please, protector, lead me into the great city of liberation. Say this three times. Fifth, bestowing the empowerment, those who listen should be aware of this. Son, you are a person of the Great Vehicle, you are a vessel for the great path, the practice rituals of secret mantras, will be truly revealed to you. All the perfect Buddhas, those who have passed away, as well as those who have not yet come, and the perfect Buddhas who appear now, those who abide for the benefit of beings, they all know this excellent ritual of secret mantras, the hero at the Bodhi tree, attained immeasurable omniscience. Through the unparalleled union of secret mantras, having obtained unparalleled wisdom, the protector Buddha Heruka, with it destroyed the exceedingly terrifying great army of demons. Therefore, in order to obtain all-knowing wisdom, son, you should act in this way. Thus it is said and its meaning explained. Sixth, gathering thoughts, after completely gathering all thoughts, listen with an extremely good mind. Do not forget, Heruka and others, and the Sugatas will not bestow their blessings upon you. Thus it is said and its meaning explained. Seventh, in order to perform the five branches, repeat this: The sins that I have committed, and encouraged others to commit, or rejoiced in others' actions, before all the Buddhas, I will confess all of these. For the merits of meditation and recitation of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Pratyekabuddhas, Arhats, and all beings, I rejoice in their accumulation of merit. In order to generate Bodhicitta, manifest enlightenment (71), and turn the wheel of Dharma, and the supreme gathering of Bodhisattvas, I take refuge in them. Just as the Buddhas appear in the world, and the fortunate Bodhisattvas generate Bodhicitta, so too, I generate Bodhicitta. May I, through these virtuous deeds, quickly attain Buddhahood in this world. In order to benefit beings, I will also teach the Dharma, liberating them from the suffering that afflicts many beings. In the world, all the omniscient ones, like the Udumbara flower, appear occasionally in hundreds of paths, and may not appear in the future. The practice ritual of secret mantras is even rarer than that. This non-dual profound practice enables all sentient beings to attain Buddhahood. No matter who has committed sinful deeds for billions of kalpas, just by seeing this profound mandala, all of them (73) will be purified. If one dwells in the practice of mantras with limitless fame, what more is needed? No matter who has accumulated merit and wisdom for immeasurable kalpas, this is also extremely difficult to obtain, and they should also rejoice in this. Thus it is said and its meaning is explained.
