The immeasurable Buddhas, such as Amitabha, praised in unison: "Excellent, excellent! Noble son, this practice of fulfilling the wishes of sentient beings in accordance with the Dharma is truly wonderful! May the Bhagavan Yamantaka, born from the secret mind of all Buddhas, possess the power of his activities. May the secret Dakini possess the power of her own nature of dominion. May it also transform into pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating. May the Yakshas, Yamarajas, Rakshasas, Maras, and Matrikas, born from the emanations empowered in the activities of all Buddhas, also accomplish various activities. By properly practicing, offering, and remembering them, they will also bestow all accomplishments in accordance with the Dharma. Even without practice, they will bless and personally show their faces." Thus it was said. Then, a person named Shavari, who was of the Brahmin caste, near the glorious Drepung Monastery, in the center of thirty-three great cities, in a place called Tripala, became the foremost master of music. In the past, he had pleased the Buddhas with songs and music. While he (87) was practicing and residing in a hut made of reeds in a cool forest, a great sound of damaru and bell rang from the sky. When he looked, the Lord of Wisdom appeared and said: "Noble son, record my practice method." Shavari then wrote down the practice method. Then, the Holy Tara, Mahakaruna, and the three Taras also appeared, spoke the practice method, and it was recorded in writing. When I asked for the tantras and instructions of the Great Seal on the Southern Glorious Mountain, the master gave me this six-armed one, and after twenty-one days I saw his face. You should also offer this six-armed one a torma of raw black barley flour and incense without impurities. Do not throw stones at black dogs. Have faith. See the lama as inseparable from yourself. By doing so, you will be able to obtain provisions in places of practice such as mountains. Within thirteen days, he will personally (88) show his face to the disciples. He will bestow all accomplishments in accordance with the Dharma.

After prophesying thus, he opened the door of the teachings three times. Then, carrying five hundred gold coins, he traveled to all parts of India, east, west, south, and north, asking if there was anyone like meeting an accomplished master, a real Buddha. The panditas and accomplished ones unanimously said: "Naro Pandit's sister, the wisdom dakini Niguma, who resides in the three pure realms, is the only one who can directly request teachings from the great Vajradhara." When asked where she was currently residing, they said, "In pure appearances, her face can be seen anywhere. In impure appearances, she cannot be found no matter how much one searches, because she resides in a pure realm and has transformed into a rainbow body." However, it is said that she occasionally appears in the depths of the forest of the great charnel ground Sosa Land, as the leader of the dakini's tsokhor. Just hearing the name of the dakini, he developed devotion with tears in his eyes and hairs standing on end, and at that time, from the depths of the forest of the Sosa Land charnel ground (89), he went upwards, reciting the prayer of "Namo Buddha." He saw a dakini in the sky, about the height of seven tala trees, with a dark bluish-black body, adorned with bones, holding a khatvanga and a skull cup in her hands, showing various forms and dancing. Thinking that this must be the dakini Niguma, he prostrated and circumambulated her many times. He requested the true teachings, and she said, "I am a flesh-eating dakini. If my retinue comes, they will eat you, so flee quickly!" Then he prostrated and circumambulated again, requesting the teachings of secret mantra. She said, "To request the great vehicle secret mantra, gold is needed. If you have gold, I will give it." Then he offered five hundred gold coins, thinking, "Offering in the depths of the forest, this must be the flesh-eating dakini herself, and she is not lacking in gold either." The dakini (90) looked up at the sky with wide eyes, and countless dakini retinues appeared from the sky. Some instantly built a three-tiered palace, some built a mandala of colored powders, and some gathered the implements for the tsok. On the night of the fifteenth, she bestowed the illusory body dream yoga initiation, and after the initiation was completed, she said, "Tibetan monk, come up here!" Relying on the dakini's miraculous powers, he crossed three yojanas in an instant.
