The Hevajra Non-Dual Tantra, the Immaculate Tantra, the recitation of names, and the Dohas were all requested. The method and ritual for practicing the Black Enemy Tantra, the method and ritual for practicing the Vajrabhairava Tantra (p. 67), and all the teachings of the Nirupa school were requested. Through offerings, requests, and practice, the lama was very pleased, and the lama said, "Although I now have as many disciples as a small pot of butter, there is no one other than you, Khyungo Naljor, who knows all my teachings." He said this repeatedly. Now, having learned these teachings thoroughly, faith in the Dharma arose naturally, but he was somewhat skeptical of the signs of common accomplishments. There is no greater accomplished one in Tibet than this lama. This lama also does not know how many supreme and common accomplishments he has attained. So he thought that he must go to India no matter what, and returned to his homeland. His aunt and uncle had no children and possessed great wealth. The old man said, "You are a bad person. First, you abandoned those Bon and Dzogchen attendant monks, and now here comes one who has neither retinue nor wealth, and now you are using gold (p. 68) and turquoise to pay off debts, when will you ever pay them off?" So he refused to give it to him. The aunt said, "I don't want your debt, I offer you this gold and turquoise worth eleven ounces. Please teach us a beneficial Dharma for us two." After that, he sold the fields, and with the gold offered by the former monks, he had ten ounces in total. He took the many gold coins he got from selling the turquoise at a high price and went to Nepal. He met Pandit Basunamati, offered three ounces of gold, and learned the Vidapa. He requested the initiation of the Secret General Tantra. He requested fifty kinds of Kriya tantras and their practice rituals, such as Kriya Pungzang, Wisdom Supreme, Well Accomplished, and Meaningful Oil. Then he met Pandit Atula Vajra. He said, "Either stay in Nepal for three years, and I will teach you the Dharma. Or go to Vajrasana, and I will send you to see the Vajrasana Lama who was prophesied to be the Second Buddha." He thought that he must go to India no matter what (p. 69). I, Khyungo Naljor, unable to bear the suffering of samsara, felt great fear from the depths of my heart. Such an endless samsara.

The suffering of birth and death is immeasurable. The suffering of the lower realms is inconceivable. One does not fear death, but fears birth. Birth follows karma. Without freedom, one wanders in samsara. I and all sentient beings, in any case, cannot avoid death. Whenever facing such a death, one should think of giving up one's life for the sake of the Dharma. Without regard for body and life, without regard for Nepal, I went to the Vajra Throne, the birthplace of a thousand Buddhas, where the Teacher attained enlightenment. To the glorious Vajra Throne, who was prophesied by the Victorious Great Sage as the second Buddha, I offered five hundred gold coins. Thinking that I was meeting the real Buddha, my hair stood on end, and tears flowed like rain. Great devotion arose from the depths of my heart. With reverence, I joined my palms and prayed thus: Please be the preceptor of the monks, the root of the teachings, and teach the Vinaya. For the sake of great Bodhicitta, please teach the Mahayana Dharma. To ripen, please bestow the empowerment of secret mantra, and to liberate, please teach the generation stage and completion stage. After I prayed thus, the glorious Vajra Throne, showing a joyful smile, said this: The barbarian land of the red-faced Rakshasas, confused with wrong views, full of doubt, unable to seek and practice various Dharmas. Helping others before oneself is mature, slandering and envying each other, black people who are proficient in the history of Dharma. In such a country, you who have faith, because you fear birth and death, you who have a strong will, in order to seek the true Dharma without error, you do not spare your life, follow the teachings, and travel to various parts of India. Fortunate Khyungo yogi, in your previous life in the snowy north, you possessed immeasurable miraculous powers, and were called Great Miraculous Power. At that time, you subdued the heretics with wrong views, nagas, yakshas, spirits, and beings. You led the Shravaka sangha, flying in the sky like a bird, unimpeded in mountains and rivers, manifesting one and many emanations, and became a great Arhat. Therefore, neither I nor the Indian scholars can be your preceptor. Land of the snowy north.
