Because practicing is the nature of Dharma, one will be liberated from suffering at that time. It is said in the Sutra: In the human world, there are many ghosts and diseases of earth, water, fire, and wind. With the heart of benefit and compassion, they are pacified by the blessing of truth. Thus, by cultivating loving-kindness and compassion towards the harmer, one thinks: From beginningless time, it has only accomplished benefits for me, while I have only given it harm! Now I will also repay the benefit, and protect it from harm. Thinking thus, one practices the exchange and trains in it. Take all the leprosy and diseases in the world upon oneself. Take all the evil deeds that are to ripen in one's future life and future lives upon this present illness, and cultivate joy. Practice again in this way: Invite the non-human to the front, what you have not done for me is countless. I have eaten your flesh, drunk your blood, gnawed your bones, worn your skin, and drunk your milk. These cannot be contained even if the three thousand great thousand worlds were used as a vessel. Killing, beating, and robbing have also been done countless times, so this time I am suffering retribution. Now I will bear all these kindnesses and retributions. Now you are most kind to me, thinking: If you like meat, eat meat; if you like blood, drink blood; if you like bones, gnaw bones; if you like skin, peel it off and wear it. If you are in a hurry, eat it raw; if you are not in a hurry, cook it and eat it. Thus, give this body to it without any attachment. To all sentient beings of the six realms, offer tormas in the four directions. When will I become something that eats carrion and carries insects? Practice like this. Potowa said so. Then, that non-human suddenly stood up and came, eating from the top of my head to the soles of my feet, covered in fresh blood. Temporarily, the body was full, the mind of harm was pacified, and it was filled with the mind of benefiting others. At the same time, think that sins are purified. Again, in an instant, the body is restored and eaten again. Think like this again and again. Cut the body into hundreds of thousands of pieces and give it to all places. In particular, slaughter this body and mind in all dangerous places. Then, thinking that this body is under its control, O practitioner.

Everything is done for this, and the final merit is also dedicated to this. In particular, in a place where non-humans exist, imagine the body being abandoned by the mind, chopped into pieces of meat there, and then eaten. Then, let go of cherishing the body, and I give this body to all sentient beings as they please, letting them do evil etc. as they like. What else can be done with this? This shows grasping sentient beings and cherishing them. Therefore, enemies must be divided into two ways to practice. Geshe Shapawa said: Look for enemies in yourself, look for gods and demons in yourself, look for good and non-good in yourself, look for happiness and suffering in yourself. Langri Tangpa also said: No matter how profound a scripture is opened, all faults are one's own, and all merits are those of Jowo sentient beings. The key point is to give victory to others and take loss and failure upon oneself. There is no other way to understand other than thinking like this. Geshe Shapawa said: If you can find a better understanding than this, it is a fault. In short, from all the scriptures, you cannot find a better understanding than this. This shows relying on conventional bodhicitta to transform adverse conditions into the path. Immediately following, the second is relying on the practice of ultimate bodhicitta to transform adverse conditions into the path, as the verse says: The three views and the treasury of space, yoga protects the unsurpassed, contemplate illusions as the four bodies, protect emptiness unsurpassed. Now, all appearances of samsara, nirvana, what is harmed, what can harm, etc., the outer and inner world, must be completely determined to be merely the appearance of one's own mind's delusion. In the conventional illusory appearance, neither has the opportunity to cause harm, because there is no opportunity to negate or affirm, and it ceases in an instant, so even in the conventional, there is no establishment of what can harm and what is harmed. In the ultimate truth, no dharma is established from the beginning. It is like a completely pure space. I am also a non-substantial awareness, and what can harm is also a non-substantial awareness, so what can harm and what is harmed are not established. Everything is emptiness, and in emptiness, one cannot find a flaw in emptiness. For example, the eastern sky cannot harm the western sky.
