I spend this life mostly on meaningless things. Abandoning attachment to false words, Following you, my father, I will practice the sacred Dharma. Grant your blessings so that my son's wishes may be fulfilled! Thinking I am giving Dharma talks, I waste the lives of those seeking the meaning of life. Abandoning this meaningless excuse, Following you, my father, I will practice the sacred Dharma. Grant your blessings so that my son's wishes may be fulfilled! Thinking I am benefiting others, I always make excuses for the things that must be done. Abandoning this pursuit of worldly crowds, Following you, my father, I will practice the sacred Dharma. Grant your blessings so that my son's wishes may be fulfilled! Thinking I am associating closely, I see that heartfelt words can only be entrusted to the wind. Abandoning this meaningless gathering and idle talk, Following you, my father, I will practice the sacred Dharma. Grant your blessings so that my son's wishes may be fulfilled! Thus it is said. Glory to the Victorious One in all times and directions, The accomplished hero, Ra Lung Pa (place name, meaning 'goat dwelling place')! The supreme one who is satisfied by merely hearing your name, Please look upon us distracted beings with compassion! Since being born from my mother's womb until now, I have thought of practicing a Dharma that renounces this life. But the clinging to temporary appearances as an excuse, Has made my previous thoughts empty talk. Now, please do not let me be immersed in worldly affairs, Please take me with compassion, so that I may practice the Dharma from the depths of my heart. When entering the gate of the Dharma, I thought of practicing a Dharma that could transmit the lineage. But the false talk using temporary words as an excuse, Has made my previous thoughts a bubble. Now, please do not let me be immersed in worldly words, Please take me with compassion, so that I may connect with the Dharma. Since I could speak and understand, I thought of practicing a Dharma that could continuously reduce afflictions. But the sectarianism using the temporary Drukpa (a branch of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism) as an excuse, Has made my previous thoughts a bubble. Now, please do not let me be immersed in attachment and aversion, Please take me with compassion, so that I may generate pure vision. Since I was taken by a qualified Lama, I thought of practicing a Dharma that could transmit the lineage. But the clamor using temporary disciples as an excuse, Has made my previous thoughts a bubble. Now, please do not let me be immersed in distraction, Please take me with compassion, so that I may connect with the Dharma and make it meaningful. This is also in Gyaltsé (place name). In the beginning, he practiced the Dharma properly, In the middle, he attained supreme accomplishments, In the end, he only benefited others, He is my Lama, the qualified Drukpa! In the beginning, he cut off the additions and subtractions with the view, In the middle, he subdued the winds and minds and bindus, In the end, he enhanced the state with conduct, He is the one who blends the sacred Dharma into my mind! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All three are in him. First, abandoning attachment to this life; second, striving in hearing, thinking, and meditating; finally, departing from the land of self-desire. My conduct is mainly for the benefit of others. First, taming the mindstream of dissipation; second, holding awareness in its own state; finally, blending with the circumstances. My practice is to leave it uncorrected. First, there is no effort or distraction; second, there is no weariness of protection; finally, there is no doubt of action. My excellence is the profound essence of taking the essence. This is offered to Byang Khri Lcam la. The master who saves beings just by hearing his name, the protector who inspires devotion just by remembering his virtues, the refuge who evokes great compassion just by thinking of his kindness, I contemplate the mindful Drukpa ('Brug pa). There is no certainty in this life, the Lord of Death does not wait for leisure, seeing the sudden arrival of accidents, why not practice the Dharma from the depths of your heart? The advice of friends is useless, and all efforts to retain are exhausted, seeing the separation of relatives, why not practice the Dharma from the depths of your heart? Strong houses will eventually be abandoned, and wealth is accumulated greedily, seeing that you will eventually leave empty-handed, why not practice the Dharma from the depths of your heart? The cherished body is eventually discarded, and the carefully adorned face is eaten by birds and dogs, seeing that only a name remains, why not practice the Dharma from the depths of your heart? Verbal Dharma will eventually become empty talk, and a lifetime of deeds will be known as deception, seeing the painful struggles at the time of death, why not practice the Dharma from the depths of your heart? I have always been thinking about what is truly beneficial, and I have found nothing other than the Dharma that abandons this life. In the past, there was some damage due to karma, why not cut off the bonds of attachment now? Those who follow me to practice the Dharma, do not indulge in eloquence and disguise, in the quiet mountain forest where the father lama resides, abandon the enjoyment of food, clothing, and shelter, and strive to practice! This was also done in Gyaltse (rGyal rtse). I rely on the core of the Kagyu (bKa' brgyud) lineage—the Drukpa tradition ('Brug pa), and by understanding the key points of the teachings, the cycle of outer appearances is like a book. Without painful study, one can become a wise and intelligent scholar. This is the medicine for those who are self-righteous. Alala, the truth will be clear when it meets falsehood. If there is someone who is not arrogant, debate is enough. I have not indulged my bad habits, and I always keep mindfulness in my mind. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
