Homage to Tara! Homage to the precious guru! Outside is the forest-covered mountain of Ma Yang Drak, inside are the pure channels and elements of the body, and beyond is the Khechara (sky-goers) realm of Vajrayogini, a wondrous place is the mountain of Lhodrak Kharchu. Outwardly, it is a market of devout men and women, inwardly, it is a gathering of heroes and dakinis, and in other respects, it is a pure land where self and other are one, a wondrous place is the mountain of Lhodrak Kharchu. The peak is a white snow mountain, the place of bliss of the (ཧཾ,ham,ഹം,seed syllable, meaning to remove obstacles and receive blessings) syllable, the foot is three valleys, the fire of Tummo Yogini, the flowing river in between is the movement of the four joys, a wondrous place is the mountain of Lhodrak Kharchu. To the right is Kharchen, the (ཝཾ,vam,வம்,seed syllable, representing the water element, with the power of nourishment and purification) syllable Vajra Mountain, to the left is the Iron Cave, the (ཨེ,eh,ஏ,seed syllable, representing emptiness and wisdom) syllable Prajna space, in the center is the vast land of equal enjoyment and union, a wondrous place is the mountain of Lhodrak Kharchu. Outward appearance is the play of symbolic methods, inwardly, awareness reveals the essence of mind, and beyond is the union of Mahamudra, a wondrous place is the mountain of Lhodrak Kharchu. Outwardly, the countless doors of unhindered manifestation, inwardly, oneness in the state of emptiness, and beyond, those who desire to seek the great secret spectacle, come to the wondrous place of Lhodrak Kharchu. In the cave of the Iron Cave, in the secret and supreme pure land, using the white lotus to sing, this is the instruction to Depa Chosgyal Tenzin and Chosgyal Rabten. The lineage originates from Dakpo Kagyu, having requested it from Palden Drukpa. The focus of mind is on abandoning this life, what is thought is the happiest of appearances, what is examined is the joy that arises in experience, the view is to establish Mahamudra, the practice is to enter the secret path of the Six Dharmas, the enhancement is entrusting taste equality to the six rotations, what is thought is the happiest of appearances, what is examined is the joy that arises in experience. Abandoning false pretense, treating whatever happens as the primary goal of desire, treating whatever is pleasant and easy as the focus of mind, what is thought is the happiest of appearances, what is examined is the joy that arises in experience. Treating the six realms of beings like an old mother, receiving grace from the sacred Dharma, like accomplishing the great meaning of eternity, what is thought is the happiest of appearances, what is examined is the joy that arises in experience. This poem was given by Jokbuwa Geshe Sherab Phel at the great sacred site of Kharchu. Because life cannot remain in meaningless things, strive diligently; because you exist in the six realms, cultivate compassion; because the guru is the Buddha, pray; because the mind is the Dharmakaya, self-liberate. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Look! Let the mind be at ease with the natural state, let it unfold freely! Let virtues spring forth like bamboo shoots after the rain, may all aspirations be fulfilled! This is the instruction to Phar Godwonpo. In countless lifetimes, with the provisions of merit accumulated, this excellent state possessing seven noble qualities, cherish it always, to accomplish the ultimate benefit. In the endless river of samsara, where the waves of suffering surge, once you are fortunate enough to find a boat to cross, abandon negligence and laziness. Life is fleeting like a flash of lightning, when the mind becomes weary, rely on the encouragement of diligence, strive to attain the state of great bliss. This is also the instruction to Tra Samdrub Rabten Tsera Nangsö Ngawang. Not clinging to the pleasures and desires of this life, I have come to this solitary and secluded place. Even if I have not fully followed the footsteps of the Kagyu forefathers, I would never wander in worldly households. At the beginning of the new year, in the hot month of March, practicing in this cool land covered with white snow, even if the signs of tummo heat have not arisen, there is no suffering from being afflicted by cold sickness. Alone, without companions, dwelling in the dark depths of the dense forest, even if I have not encountered the great seal of reality, there is no fear of being overcome by obstacles and demons. From childhood, I have studied and contemplated the Dharma, and in my youth, I have diligently practiced. Even if I have not gained the confidence to face death without fear, I have no regrets about aging and dying. I have abandoned the thought of seeking my own benefit, and I have disregarded the pursuit of peace and happiness. Even if I have not entered the ranks of the Bodhisattvas, I will not stray into the path of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers of the Lesser Vehicle. I have devoted myself to the trivial affairs of this short life, and I have cultivated a sincere respect for the ultimate Dharma. Even if I have not quickly accomplished the benefit of myself and others, I will not become a mindless fool. I have not deliberately sought good and happiness, nor have I intentionally avoided evil and suffering. Even if I have not mastered the methods of great yogis, I will never lose my way in the degenerate age. I regard pretentious displays of greatness as enemies, and I distance myself from words that seek fame and praise. Even if I have not attained the position of a true Dharma practitioner, I will never be like a servant of worldly people. This is the instruction from the place of the courageous hero who enjoys the sky, that is, from the solitary place in the auspicious forest, to the ruler of the southern world, Tso Kye Dorje. Incomparable Kagyu... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
