The upper ends of the two *gyang* channels curve downwards from the forehead and penetrate the two nostrils. The lower ends enter the central channel. Like neatly written letters, from the crown, throat, heart, to the navel, these four locations, the central channel and the *rokyang* channels are connected as one, forming a single tube. The crown chakra (Uṣṇīṣacakra, the wheel of great bliss) has thirty-two petals: one each branching from the front, back, right, and left of the central channel, making four. Each of these four branches out again, making eight. Each of these eight branches out again, making sixteen. Each of these sixteen branches out again, making thirty-two. The throat chakra (Viśuddhacakra, the wheel of enjoyment) has sixteen petals: branching from the front, back, right, and left of the central channel as before, making four. Each of these branches out again, making eight. Each of these branches out again, making sixteen. The heart chakra (Anāhatacakra, the wheel of dharma) has eight petals: four branching from the central channel, and each of these branches out again, making eight. The navel chakra (Nābhi-cakra, the wheel of emanation) has sixty-four petals: four roots branching from the central channel, and each of these branches out again, making eight. Each of these branches out again, making sixteen. Each of these branches out again, making thirty-two. Each of these branches out again, making sixty-four. The four chakras have a total of eighty-four petals. From these, countless branches spread throughout all parts of the body, like an interwoven network of light-filled tubes, with their ends penetrating the pores of the skin, either appearing open and clear, or filled with rainbow light. Visualize the crown and heart chakras as ཝྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, meaning 'water'), in an inverted, blissful form. Visualize the throat and navel chakras as ཨེ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ऐ, Romanized Sanskrit: ai, meaning 'fire'), in an upright, open form of emptiness-wisdom. When meditating on all four chakras, the color is yellow. When meditating to primarily generate heat, visualize the color as red. By purifying the three poisons through the three channels, one attains the three *kayas*. By purifying the four states through the four chakras, one attains the four *kayas*. The Essential Points of Secret *Tumo* Wind Third, regarding the essential points of secret *tumo* wind. First, the ninefold gentle breathing: the body should be straight, the mind comfortable. The key point of visualization is to clearly visualize emptiness, the channels, and the chakras. Place the right hand in a fist on the thigh, palm down. With the left hand in a vajra fist, press the left nostril with the index finger. The key point of the wind is to gently inhale air from the right nostril, so gently that it is barely perceptible, and press it down below the navel. Press the right nostril with the index finger of the right hand, and then gently exhale from the left nostril. Similarly, inhale from the left nostril, press, and then press the left nostril with the index finger of the left hand. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exhale through the right nostril. With both hands clenched into fists, place them on your knees, palms down. Then, as before, inhale evenly through both nostrils and exhale evenly, this is 'female wind' (referring to feminine energy). Then, place the right hand palm down on the middle of the thigh, etc., exhale three times, slightly stronger than the 'female wind', just enough for a person to feel it, this is 'neuter wind' (referring to balanced yin-yang energy). Then, clench your fists and place them at the base of your thighs, press the left nostril with the left index finger, and inhale forcefully through the right nostril. At the same time, without losing your body posture, rotate your right arm forward, press the right nostril with the right index finger, without moving your neck, turn your face to the left, rotate your left arm back, and exhale from the left nostril with a 'hissing' sound. While inhaling from the left nostril, also turn your face forward, rotate your left arm inward, press the left nostril with the left index finger, turn your face to the right, rotate your right arm outward, and exhale from the right nostril with a 'hissing' sound. With both hands clenched into fists and placed at the base of the thighs, without losing your body posture, rotate both arms forward simultaneously, inhaling evenly through both nostrils. As you rotate both arms backward, exhale from both nostrils with a 'hissing' sound, this is 'male wind' (referring to masculine energy). The purpose of these is: when inhaling from the right nostril and exhaling from the left nostril, visualize the entire body being filled with air, and all sins, diseases, evil spirits, vein toxins, air toxins, and defects of bindus (Tibetan: thig le, drops) being driven out like smoke, passing through the right channel (Tibetan: rkyang ma) and exiting from the left nostril. When inhaling from the left nostril and exhaling from the right nostril, visualize the right channel being filled with air, and sins, diseases, evil spirits, etc., being driven out, passing through the left channel (Tibetan: ro ma) and exiting from the right nostril. When inhaling from both nostrils simultaneously and exhaling from both nostrils simultaneously, visualize both the left and right channels being filled with air, and the air of the left channel crossing with the air of the right channel, driving out sins, diseases, and evil spirits. The method of practicing the protection wheel (Tibetan: srung 'khor) is: visualize yourself as Śrīcakrasaṃvara (Tibetan: dpal 'khor lo sdom pa, Lord of the Wheel of Bliss), in union with Vajrayoginī (Tibetan: rdo rje rnal 'byor ma), with three channels and four chakras inside the body, and visualize them as having the nature of A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, meaning: unborn), Sha (Tibetan: ཤ, Devanagari: श, Romanized Sanskrit: śa, meaning: peaceful) and fire. While exhaling, visualize light emanating from the A, possessing the power of all the Buddhas (Tibetan: rgyal ba rab 'byams) who can destroy everything. Gather all the blessings and powers of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Yidams, Heroes, and Dakinis into a form of flames. While inhaling, visualize it entering through the nostrils and dissolving into the A, and at the same time, the fire of wisdom blazing fiercely, burning away sins, habitual tendencies, diseases, evil spirits, etc. within... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
