Like ghee, smooth and thin like a lotus petal, clear and transparent like a sesame oil lamp, possessing four characteristics. Visualize its upper end inserted into the Brahmarandhra (aperture at the crown of the head), and its lower end connected to the secret place, appearing as hollow and open. However, it is not like a coarse, tangible object made of flesh and blood, but rather visualize its essence as emptiness. The self-nature of emptiness manifests, and the essence of manifestation is emptiness. Visualize the inseparability of manifestation and emptiness, like the inseparability of the nature of a rainbow. Due to the great increase of bliss-wisdom, practice the experience of great bliss. Alternatively, on a dharmodaya (chos 'byung, Sanskrit: dharmodaya, the place where all dharmas arise, usually referring to the female genitalia), lotus sun disc, and kusha grass mat, visualize yourself as Vajrayogini, with a vajra khatvanga (representing the masculine principle) under your left arm, adorned with complete ornaments, residing in the midst of the fire of wisdom. Visualize the central channel within the body as before, and its essence as emptiness, and so on, is the same. In any case, in order to train concentration, perform the yoga of expansion and contraction: visualize your own body as the empty mandala of the deity, with the body the usual size, and the central channel like an arrow shaft. Once proficient, visualize yourself as large as a house, and the central channel like a pillar, open and clear from top to bottom, and bright inside and out. Gradually expand to mountains, Mount Meru (the sacred mountain in Buddhist cosmology), the world, the realm of space, until it is boundless. At the same time, the central channel also expands accordingly. Visualize the empty mandala as large as it is, and the entire body is filled with the central channel, this is the yoga of expansion. Then, starting from being pervasive throughout the sky, gradually contract from the body to the realm of space, and then successively through the world, Mount Meru, mountains, houses, oneself, a span, a finger, and finally the empty mandala is as small as a mustard seed, and the central channel is as thin as a hair, this is the yoga of contraction, used to enhance concentration. The former is used to eliminate dullness, and the latter is used to eliminate agitation. 'dhūti lalana rasanā four chakras', what needs to be focused on or used as a basis is the channels, that is, the collection of the four chakras of the empty mandala, or visualize Vajrayogini as before, and in the center of the body visualize dhūti, that is, the central channel with four characteristics, the upper end inserted into the crown chakra, and the lower end inserted into the red dharmodaya four fingers below the navel, with the dharmodaya opening upwards. To its right is rasanā (right channel), with a reddish-white luster, and to its left is lalanā (left channel), with a whitish-red luster. Thus, the central channel is as thick as an arrow shaft, the wisdom nature is extremely vast, and it radiates light. The left and right channels are as thick as spindles, and in order to eliminate the duality of subject and object, visualize them as curled up like old sheep intestines.
