Such is the ritual. In the Vajra Garland of Dakinis, it is said: 'The first is the water empowerment; the second is the crown empowerment; the third is the vajra empowerment; the fourth is the self-mastery empowerment; the fifth is the name empowerment; the sixth is the complete enlightenment empowerment; the seventh is the vase empowerment.' Among these, the six, differentiated by water, crown, vajra, mastery, name, and guru, constitute the vase empowerment. This is because all Tathagatas and vidya-matas (wisdom mothers) such as the Eye Mother explicitly empower with a vase. The later guru empowerment is because of the supreme empowerment with the excellent holding-light vase. 'The vase empowerment is the seventh,' it is said. The guru empowerment is the cause of arising, so the five, such as the water empowerment, are also referred to as guru empowerment. Second, the secret empowerment: Empower in the south. Arrange the mandala, make supplications, blindfold, descend wisdom, throw flowers, indicate the deity, name, secret empowerment, take vows, and remove the blindfold. Because of empowering with the essence of practice that is extremely secret, it is called the secret empowerment. Third, the prajna-jnana (wisdom-knowledge) empowerment: Empower in the west of the mandala. Arrange the mandala, make supplications, cover the face, descend wisdom, throw flowers, indicate the deity, name, prajna-jnana empowerment, and remove the face covering. This is the co-emergent joy-wisdom born from the prajna-woman, therefore it is called prajna-jnana. Here, if a bhikshu (monk) has a very firm adhimukti (conviction) that all dharmas (phenomena) are like dreams and illusions, and are of one taste in emptiness, then what defilement conflicting with the vows of a bhikshu and vajradhara (vajra holder) could there be? Therefore, the Bhagavan (Blessed One) spoke of one called a bhikshu vajradhara. For example, as shown in the Vinaya (monastic discipline), even if one experiences ultimate bliss with the two external limbs and sense faculties seeing a dream due to habit, there is no downfall. For a bhikshu whose adhimukti is not firm, even if he has faith, taking the external prajna-mother empowerment is prohibited; otherwise, the previous vows will be broken, becoming greatly meaningless. Thinking thus, it is done so in the sutras. If one becomes firm in guru meditation, then at that time, the prajna-jnana empowerment is also given with the jnana-mudra (wisdom seal) entrusted to him. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The empowerment should be given. When receiving the empowerment, there is no need to worry about losing celibacy, because there is no physical activity. The fourth is the speech empowerment: Place the mandala to the north, make supplications, and give the speech empowerment. At the time of the third empowerment, it is the speech empowerment because it conveys the linguistic symbols of the arising of true wisdom. Offer the mandala of gratitude, and finally, from enjoying the feast to the deity returning to the mandala. Sixth, analyze the meaning of the empowerment: At the time of the third empowerment, relying on the three joys with conceptualization, the non-conceptual coemergent wisdom arises, so it is sequentially established as the fourth coemergent joy, and all the joys of the lower drops are included in it. First is attachment, then detachment, and in between is the state of mixing the two, which is the bindu of the three bodies, and it is explained that it manifests as the third coemergent joy. 15-702 In addition, all the melting bindus up to the fifteenth part are established in one state. At that time, the bliss-emptiness union of the sixteenth part that arises is established as the second coemergent joy. First it is said to be joy, and then it is said to be supreme joy. If the bindu of the latter (supreme joy) moves outward, joy will be lost, so the yogi first experiences the true nature of coemergent wisdom. As the venerable one (Jetsun) said, Ngokton Chenpo recorded: As taught by Nagarjuna, the third experience is the wisdom in which all elaborations are pacified, just as water is poured into water, it is the nature of mind. Thus it is said. Therefore, it is also said in the scriptures: Supreme joy will eventually lose joy, like a lamp in the darkness. Similarly, a child will also believe. And: There is no attachment, and there is no detachment, and there will be no clinging to the middle way. Because the three are abandoned, it is said that coemergence is bodhi. And: The image of semen is the Bhagavan, its pleasure is called desire. Not separate from one and many, the unique body of supreme joy. This is the wisdom of self-awareness, the realm beyond words. 15-703 This is for the sake of the blessings of the order, such is the all-knowing wisdom. And: The first joy is the hero, the supreme joy is the yogini. And: The meaning of low and subtle, is called the supreme thing. The middle way itself is abandonment. And: Joyful bliss is a little happiness, supreme joy is more than that. Detachment from joy is the joy of detachment, the remainder is coemergent joy. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
