Compassion of the Bodhisattva! From the nature of cause and spiritual friend, it is the compassion of the Bodhisattva. Thus it is said. Relying on the guru's instructions, cutting through elaborations from within, is the tantric tradition. Secondly, relying on the guru's instructions, cutting through elaborations from within, is the tantric tradition. It explains the empowerment that ripens the ground, the two stages that liberate, and the vows and conduct. Firstly, explaining the empowerment that ripens the ground. First, it is shown by 'the mind of grasping and the grasped' and 'liberation'. That is, the mind of grasping and the grasped here refers to body, speech, mind, and wisdom. 'Liberation' refers to the empowerment to liberate those things. So, what is it like? Like this, by purifying the four impurities and establishing the four abilities, it is its nature. In the Supreme Primordial Buddha, it is said: 'From the sequence of the three empowerments, body, speech, and mind are completely purified, the fourth is wisdom purified.' Why is it called empowerment? Because it purifies and washes away the impurities of afflictions. As it is said in the Hevajra Tantra: 'What is called pouring and infusing, therefore it is called empowerment.' Empowerment has the distinctions of destruction, change, leakage, and immutability, which are vase empowerment, secret empowerment, wisdom empowerment, and great wisdom empowerment. The first, in the conventional world, is empowering with a vase; similarly, in secret empowerment, tasting nectar; through the practice of karmamudra, the realization that arises from the two faculties is wisdom empowerment; realizing the bliss of bodhicitta contained within the jewel is such empowerment. In the ultimate truth, the bliss of change arising from touch is vase empowerment; the bliss of change arising from vajra union is secret empowerment; when the two faculties are equally entered, the bliss that leaks is the third empowerment; The immutable bliss that arises from following the great seal is great wisdom empowerment. Thus, in the Primordial Buddha it is said: 'Vase empowerment and secret empowerment, and wisdom and prajna, again, great wisdom itself, that is called wisdom.' And 'Destruction and change, then leakage, then the immutable supreme.' And in the Guhyasamaja Tantra it is also said: 'The three empowerments are distinct, in this tantra it is explained in detail. The first is vase empowerment, the second is considered secret empowerment, wisdom and prajna are the third, and the fourth is the same.' The name is also correct. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the explanation, it says: 'All forms are formless, sixteen and a half with bindu, without parts, beyond parts, holding the peak of the fourth dhyana.' In the Hevajra it says: 'The teacher, secret friend, and wisdom, the fourth is also the same.' In the Laghusamvara it says: 'Play, looking, hand-holding, embracing, and intercourse, etc., are transformed into empowerment.' 'The first joy is called great joy, the supreme joy is the second, joy-free is the third joy, the remainder is innate joy itself.' Furthermore, from the perspective of the mundane and supramundane, it is explained in eleven ways: In the 'Empowerment Summary,' it says: 'What are the first seven empowerments? They are for the sake of grasping children. The first three are the conventional truth, the fourth is the ultimate truth.' In the 'Dakini Vajra Tent,' it says: 'The water empowerment is the first, the crest jewel empowerment is the second, the third is the banner hanging empowerment, the fourth is the vajra bell. The fifth is the self-lord, the sixth is the name empowerment, the seventh is considered the Buddha's permission. The lineage is the vase empowerment, the secret empowerment is accomplishment, the wisdom empowerment is the tenth.' 'He bestows all vajra vows through the union of vajras, prophesying himself as the teacher, this is the ritual of empowerment.' **The Method of Liberation: The Two Stages** Second, explaining the method of liberation—the two stages: Rely on undistracted mindfulness; by doing so, I and you will never be separated. The so-called 'undistracted mindfulness' refers to the mindfulness of the generation stage and the mindfulness of the completion stage. 'Relying' means cultivating these two as union. As the Hevajra says: 'When the generation stage and the completion stage are equally established, then the dharma of Vajradhara is taught.' Thus, the generation stage focuses on using the four chakras as key points, and the result of practice is the attainment of the Form Body. Why is it called the generation stage? Because it specifically focuses on the wheel of the mandala that simultaneously cuts off the three aspects of ordinariness, appearance, and attachment, thereby gradually generating wisdom. Furthermore, taking the remembrance of the suchness of the deity as the root, its branches are the perfection of the body as the supreme mandala, the perfection of speech as the supreme mantra, and the perfection of bliss as the aspect of bindu. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
