May it be auspicious! This is water of the nature of diligence, which purifies the dirt of laziness, water well-scented with the fragrance of diligence, bathed by the excellent performer. Recite 'Namo Ratna' etc. dharani. May all the sins and obscurations accumulated by the deceased from beginningless samsara, especially all the dirt of the affliction of laziness, be purified and cleansed, may the paramita of diligence be perfected, and may they quickly attain perfect enlightenment! This is water of the nature of meditation, which purifies the dirt of distraction, water well-scented with the fragrance of meditation, bathed by the excellent performer. Recite 'Namo Ratna' etc. May all the sins and obscurations accumulated by the deceased from beginningless samsara, especially all the dirt of the affliction of distraction, be purified and cleansed, may the paramita of meditation be perfected, and may they quickly attain perfect enlightenment! This is water of the nature of wisdom, which purifies the dirt of wrong knowledge, water well-scented with the fragrance of wisdom, bathed by the excellent performer. Recite 'Namo Ratna' etc. May all the sins and obscurations accumulated by the deceased from beginningless samsara, especially all the dirt of the affliction of wrong knowledge, be purified and cleansed, may the paramita of wisdom be perfected, and may they quickly attain perfect enlightenment! Touching the crown of the head and forehead etc. with the mudra of the Wish-fulfilling Jewel (Yid-bzhin gyi nor-bu) and the Top of the Victory Banner (rGyal-mtshan gyi rtse-mo), recite 'Om Vajra Abhisinca' etc. By this empowerment alone, all the Tathagatas have empowered all the vidya-mantras. This is the empowerment for practicing vidya-mantras. Then give the Eight Auspicious Symbols (bkra shis rdzas brgyad) in order: The mirror is the great ocean of primordial wisdom, The ocean of wisdom is supremely pure, Enjoying the pure Dharma without obstruction, May this auspiciousness purify all obscurations! Bezoar destroys the three poisons, it is medicine for disease, Supreme medicine realizing the nature of reality, May it eliminate the thorns of affliction, May this auspiciousness purify all suffering! Yogurt is the essence of all things, The essence is pure, realizing supreme wisdom, May it become the source of all qualities, May this auspiciousness pacify the three poisons! Kusha grass increases life, Diligently accomplishing the life of Vajrasattva, May it cut off the stream of affliction, birth, and death, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Red lychee is the nature of power, Having gathered all the Dharmas without exception, May the kingdom of Dharma be firmly established, May auspiciousness make your reign stable! Mustard seed is of the Vajra family, in all places, It destroys all obstacles without exception, May power, strength, and qualities be fully endowed, May auspiciousness pacify all obstacles! This is the empowerment of obtaining wealth. Then, again with the vase, after reciting the mantra, recite: Sarva Pāpaṃ Śāntiṃ Kuru Svāhā. Similarly, Sarva Jha... Sarva Upadra Ye... Sarva Grahe...
