The Collection of Teachings by Omniscient Pema Karpo PK86: The Ritual of the Unwavering One, Bhagavan Akshobhya, Called 'The Iron Hook of Liberation' The Ritual of the Unwavering One, Bhagavan Akshobhya, Called 'The Iron Hook of Liberation' First, the recitation. Supplication to the Lineage Lamas. The Ritual of the Unwavering One, Bhagavan Akshobhya, Called 'The Iron Hook of Liberation,' is written in a concise manner. The supreme method for purifying karmic obscurations. For the sake of that recitation, therefore, I prostrate to Bhagavan Akshobhya. Impart the lineage of the lamp of light without bias to others. For those who wish to purify all karmic obscurations and revel in all the glories of the Blissful Realm in the future, they should take the vows of individual liberation, generate the mind of enlightenment, and receive the empowerment of this ritual. First, the recitation; in the middle, the procedure of the great mandala; and finally, the ritual of the southern gate. Among these three, first is the recitation. Gather all the necessary implements completely. Perform cleansing such as bathing. Sit in the vajra posture on a comfortable seat. Refuge Verse: The main one is the guide of beings, diligent in the purpose of saving beings, with great power dispelling all fears, from this day forth I take refuge in you. And the Dharma that you have realized, which eliminates the fear of samsara, and also in the assembly of Bodhisattvas. I, trembling with fear, offer myself to Kuntuzangpo (藏文:ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།,梵文:Samantabhadra,梵文罗马拟音:Samantabhadra,汉语:普贤). I offer myself to Jampelyang (藏文:འཇམ་པའི་དབྱངས།,梵文:Mañjuśrī,梵文罗马拟音:Manjushri,汉语:文殊). I offer this body of mine. To the compassionate Chenrezig (藏文:སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས།,梵文:Avalokiteśvara,梵文罗马拟音:Avalokiteśvara,汉语:观世音) protector, whose actions are unerring, I cry out in a wretched voice, beseeching you to protect me, a sinful one. To the noble Namkha Nyingpo (藏文:ནམ་མཁའི་སྟིང་པོ།,梵文:Ākāśagarbha,梵文罗马拟音:Ākāśagarbha,汉语:虚空藏) and Sa-yi Nyingpo (藏文:ས་ཡི་སྙིང་པོ།,梵文:Kṣitigarbha,梵文罗马拟音:Kṣitigarbha,汉语:地藏), and to all the great compassionate protectors, I seek refuge from the depths of my heart, crying out in distress. Whoever sees you, the messengers of Yama (藏文:གཤིན་རྗེ།,梵文:Yama,梵文罗马拟音:Yama,汉语:阎罗) and other fierce beings, will scatter in fear in all directions, I take refuge in Vajrapani (藏文:རྡོ་རྗེ་ཅན།,梵文:Vajrapāṇi,梵文罗马拟音:Vajrapāṇi,汉语:金刚手). In the past, I transgressed your commands, but now, seeing great fear, I seek refuge in you, I beseech you to quickly dispel the fear. Supplication to the Lineage Lamas: A heap of precious virtues, the glory of the ten powers, seeing, hearing, and remembering, purifies all the lower realms, never disturbed by worldly events, to the Bhagavan Tathagata, I now pay homage, I pray that you purify the evil deeds of all sentient beings. Secret Lord, Hero Vajrapani, the noble Chandrakirti (藏文:ཟླ་གྲགས།,梵文:Candrakīrti,梵文罗马拟音:Candrakīrti,汉语:月称). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Homage to the venerable Yongdzin Dampa Chokyi Wangchuk (name of a person, Dharma Lord), and Gelek Zhepai (name of a person, Virtuous Smile) Jampel Yebai Wang (name of a person), Jampel Pawo Chokyi Nangwa (name of a person, Manjushri Warrior Dharma Light), with faith, respect, and pure mind, I prostrate, I pray to purify the karmic obscurations and sins of sentient beings. Homage to the non-defeatable Dharma King (name of a person) who has attained wisdom, Chokyi Nyinje (name of a person, Dharma Sun) Sheja Kunkhyen's (name of a person, Knowing All) feet, the kind guru who is the treasure of instructions, I prostrate with body, speech, and mind, I pray to purify the karmic obscurations and sins of sentient beings. Furthermore, inseparable from all the Three Jewels, the treasure of the compassion of the Immovable One (Akshobhya) who has perfected the five wisdoms, I pray with one-pointed devotion, may you lead all mother-like beings to the Abhirati Pure Land, and establish them in the supreme state of enlightenment. Instantly visualize yourself as the Bhagavan Akshobhya, in the heart, on a lotus and moon, is Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), from which light radiates, inviting the mandala of the Bhagavan Akshobhya residing above the guru, in the space in front, Vajra Samaja (Tibetan: བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿ). There, the nature of reality is equal and unchanging, yet with compassion, never passes into nirvana, with four activities benefiting sentient beings, I prostrate to the Bhagavan Akshobhya. Thus, prostrate. Om Ah Vajra Argham Hum Hum Phat (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿབཛྲ་ཨརྒྷཾ་ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ྄), the beginning and end are the same. Pushpe (Tibetan: པུཥྤེ), Dhupe (Tibetan: དྷཱུ་པེ་), Aloke (Tibetan: ཨཱ་ལོ་ཀེ), Gandhe (Tibetan: གནྡྷེ), Naivedya (Tibetan: ནཻཝིདྱ), Shabda (Tibetan: ཤཔྟས་) offering. I take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, until enlightenment I will not turn away. To accomplish the benefit of myself and others, I generate the supreme Bodhicitta. Having generated the supreme Bodhicitta, I invite all sentient beings, I will practice the supreme Bodhisattva conduct, for the benefit of beings, may I attain Buddhahood. Recite this three times. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ས་བདུན་རྣམ་
