If there is no cloth, if there is suitable material, bless it. Khenpo (Khenpo, preceptor), please listen. I, named [so and so], bless this robe (chos gos, monk's clothing) as a patchwork robe (snam sbyar, sewn clothes). If needed, and if it does not hinder life, desire, and celibacy (tshangs spyod, pure conduct), then make it into a patchwork robe of nine small pieces, or make it into two and a half pieces of cloth, etc. Wash it! Stretch it! Sew it! Assemble it! Insert the amulet! Sew it! Turn the edge! Or, sew a patch on it here. Handle it according to the situation, this robe is suitable for use. Repeat this two or three times. Speak auspicious words. If there is no cloth for the upper garment, then make it of seven small pieces of cloth, or make it of two and a half pieces of cloth. If there is no cloth for the lower skirt, then make it of five small pieces of cloth, or make it of two and a half pieces of cloth. The remaining special features are the same as before. This is the method of blessing the material. A bad friend places the bowl in the left hand, covers it with the right hand, and from the side of the elder, stands in front of each Bhikshu (dge slong, fully ordained monk), with reverence. Venerable or Ayushman (tshe dang ldan pa, honorific title for monks), please listen. This bowl of the Ayushman named [so and so], is it not small? Is it not big? Is it not old? If all the Bhikshus do not think it is such a bowl, then each one should say, 'The bowl is good.' If they say so, that is good. If they do not say so, they will commit a serious offense. Then place it in the disciple's left hand, cover it with the right hand. The Khenpo also does the same, saying: 'This is a bowl, used to hold food.' Bless it as a begging vessel, and think 'I will hold it.' Khenpo, please listen. I, named [so and so], bless this bowl suitable for holding food, this container of the upright one, as a begging vessel. Repeat this two or three times. Do the method well. This is the duty of the Khenpo. In the Sangha (dge 'dun, Buddhist monastic community) it is permissible to wear a patchwork robe, so make three prostrations of gratitude. From the Sangha, hear the dangers of karma (las, action), and move it from a state of complete concealment to a state where only a little can be seen. The Sangha should restrain the transgressions that should be restrained within half a month, and confess the transgressions that should be confessed. After blessing what should be blessed, blessing the heavy and light transgressions of defeat (pham lhag, the two heaviest types of offenses in the Bhikshu's precepts), one should correct and sit down. If everyone has committed a transgression, then bless according to the transgression. If everyone is pure, then that is not necessary. Only a place of agreement is sufficient. All those who are in accordance with transgression are those who have committed transgression. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Blessing of the Sangha: Please listen, venerable monks. Today we are performing the ordination ceremony of a Bhikshu (fully ordained monk). If all of us, the Sangha (community of monks), have transgressed, before whom should we confess according to the Dharma (teachings)? We do not have another Bhikshu here before whom we can confess according to the Dharma. If the Sangha deems it timely and permissible, please grant your approval. Today, the Sangha blesses these transgressions and performs the ordination ceremony, and later we will confess these transgressions before a Bhikshu according to the Dharma. Repeat once. This is a request. Although much is said in the scriptures, only this much is said now. 7-28 Agreement on the Location: Please pay attention, venerable monks. Whether it is naturally formed at the beginning of a kalpa (aeon), or naturally formed in situations such as sinking, or manifested through human effort, whichever of these three types of locations is suitable as a place for accomplishing tasks can be mentioned, it is not necessary to mention all three. All locations that are built, completed, or prepared, including the inner boundary, the outer boundary, and the surrounding area of one arrow-shot, if you consider these locations suitable as a place for the Sangha to hold the ordination ceremony, if you monks deem it timely and permissible, please grant your approval. The Sangha agrees that all locations that are built, completed, or prepared, including the inner boundary, the outer boundary, and the surrounding area of one arrow-shot, are suitable as a place for the Sangha to hold the ordination ceremony. This is a request. Please pay attention to the concluding summary statement. Please listen, venerable monks. All locations that are built, completed, or prepared, including the inner boundary, the outer boundary, and the surrounding area of one arrow-shot, are considered as a place for the Sangha to hold the ordination ceremony. Therefore, all locations of the Sangha that are built, completed, or prepared, including the inner boundary and the outer boundary surrounding one arrow-shot. 7-29 If you, venerable ones, agree that all locations that are built, completed, including the inner boundary, the outer boundary, and the surrounding area of one arrow-shot, are suitable as a place for the Sangha to hold the ordination ceremony, let those who permit it remain silent. Let those who do not permit it speak. The Sangha. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
