At that time, the Buddha was named Thémi Tsom. The hero, in the Iron Male Dragon year (Tibetan calendar), when he resided in Dorje Ling, Bagchen Chökyi Gyalpo Tashi Tobgyal from Latö Jang, renowned for his exceptional wisdom and discernment, had long heard the fame of Gyalwa Rinpoche. Longing to see his face and pay homage at his feet, like a thirsty person longing for water, he made a special trip. He offered Sheltham and other important gifts. During the initial meeting, he was invited to sit on a seat three cushions high, and received some return gifts from the throne. On that day, he received the profound path empowerment, Mahamudra, the stages of the Six Dharmas, the subsequent permission of Jamyang Karpo, Four-Armed Mahakala, and the subsequent permission of Palden Lhamo, etc. By asking questions and receiving answers to dispel doubts, their conversation lasted until late at night. The next day, he set off to return, and Rinpoche presented horses, mules, and other necessities as gifts. At his request, Rinpoche composed a poem praising Padmasambhava, called 'The Melody of the Gandharvas'. In the same year, Gyalwa Rinpoche appointed Jamyang Drakpa as the Khenpo of Tsang Gyalje Tsal Do Monastery. He also composed 'The Three Bases Ritual: Friend of Benefit and Happiness' for him and gave the following advice: 'Constantly rising and never setting, is the sun of compassion of all the Buddhas! Because of touching it, the mind is happy, everything is worthy of reverence in every way.' 'In the degenerate age, the pain of sectarianism is most severe, Even if abandoned by the karma of previous lives and subjected to much slander, As long as one's actions do not deviate from the teachings of Gyalwa, Then everything done is complete, son of a noble family!' 'A practitioner who outwardly acts upright but secretly indulges, Even if they appear beautiful in the eyes of the world, Whatever they do, the consequences will ultimately be borne by themselves, Do not point fingers at others, but instead, do not let your own mindstream become rigid.' 'Some great lamas flaunt wealth to poor monks, To please others, But taming such people is a base act, In any case, maintain contentment and few desires.' 'For a long time, bad habits are difficult to change, Uncertain when one will fall, therefore be mindful of the three doors of body, speech, and mind. Whatever you do, consider it carefully beforehand, Do what is in accordance with the Dharma, and do not procrastinate. Influence with generosity, speak with pleasant words, Act with composure and propriety, and speak in accordance with reason, If you can use these to accomplish ultimate benefit, Then benefiting beings is without a doubt.' 'In the degenerate age, in the midst of a circle where false teachings flourish, Be patient, honest, and gentle.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With skillful means, if one knows how to combine the rituals of authentic practice, all desires will come to the palm of one's hand. If, after doing it, it does not go wrong, it is due to past karma, and purify the sins that cause it. Instead of offering a 'ra mda' (a type of offering) to the Three Jewels, no other means are needed; that is enough. Twisting and turning crooked words is the enemy of Dharma. Abandon that, and all the scriptures of the Buddha's words and commentaries. If one contemplates the hearing that can correct the words and meanings of the scriptures, then holding the teachings is also difficult to understand at times, but again and again. It is necessary to measure and ascertain, and not to be bored by reading, but to know where the words and meanings have gone and everything. If there is doubt in a very profound place, it is difficult to find by other than the power of faith. Rely on a qualified and holy lama, and pray with one mind, and your wishes will be fulfilled. In short, self-righteousness is a fault, and one should take the lower position. If it does not benefit others, leave even virtue alone. By accomplishing what benefits, one does not look at life, and thus one is satisfied. Thus spoke the good words of the white lotus. If one tastes it, to whom will one extend its deliciousness? May this place be filled with the great dance of the clear-minded bees, delighting their hearts. This is the birthplace of Lo Dorje Dol. He became a monk from a young age. He served as an attendant when Gyalwa Wangpo Tashi Thongmon was residing in the great temple. He relied on Rinpoche Zhung Gyapa Jangton Chokyi Palzang and completed the hearing of the sutra teachings. He completely heard all the empowerments, transmissions, and oral instructions from the omniscient one himself. He excellently engaged in teaching and debate in both the sutra and monastic colleges. He met many spiritual friends. He abandoned all worldly affairs. In the retreat center, he served as the karma acharya for many who were taking the full ordination, and he was the caretaker of the teachings until the end. Many new teachings were presented to him. Later, wishing to engage in solitary retreat, he went to the seat of Jetsun Rechenpa, the glorious Tsegong, and practiced and benefited beings at the Lhatse Tekchen Phodrang. At Jampachen Choling, he mixed the new and old monks and gave the essential instructions on mixing, which became known as the 'Mixing of One Hundred Thousand Black Ones'. In addition, he bestowed the special qualities of Orgyenpa Rinchen Pal, the three vajra practices, to about forty Dharma students, including Kachu Rabjampa and others. The daily morning Dharma and necessary Dharma activities were uninterrupted, and he personally came to demonstrate the practice rituals. One day, he came to the hermitage to demonstrate the rituals. After that was completed, even tea was served. He said, 'You all should pay great attention to the teachings.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
