Subsequently, relying on the turning of the wheel, a seven-day pacifying and increasing fire puja was performed. On the foundation day, three sets of offerings, including robes, thangkas, and mounts, were presented to Zhabdrung (a title for the Shabdrung Rinpoche of Bhutan). Two sets of offerings were presented to his mother. In addition, offerings ranging from three sets to one set were presented to over a hundred dignitaries, including the Great Vajradhara, the mantra master, the leader of Shawa Rag, and the lamas of Shambala Kagyu, according to their status. Remuneration was given to the ritual performers, and offerings were distributed to the nearby small monasteries. The remuneration paid to the artisans was calculated at five hundred liang of gold and silver, and they were satisfied with additional offerings of tea, silk, and gold ornaments. A grand feast was held. Furthermore, generous remuneration and donations were made to the painting artisans. At that time, not long after, the Ralung Great Circumambulation was also held, attracting a particularly large crowd. From the remains, a spontaneously generated mandala of Padmakara (Guru Rinpoche) appeared, very clear. Everyone was allowed to see it. In addition, many relics appeared from the remains that were invited to other places. Afterward, an Akshobhya (Mitrugpa) statue was built in Lhodrak Kharchu, said to purify the karmic obscurations of all those to be tamed and to have a connection with things born there. In order to do as he said, Jogru Rinpoche Sherab Chophak took on this task. Two hundred liang of gold were provided for the statue construction, as well as temporary expenses for the artisans and the shed, and half of the remuneration. He initially heard the teachings of the Sutras in Kyetsal, Dreyul, and gained unwavering faith in Gyalwa Rinpoche (a title for the Karmapa), directly seeing the true face of reality. Although wealth fell like rain, he was not attached to material things. He managed the monastery for many years, and his activities were inconceivable. Other necessities were provided by the government treasurer. The Akshobhya statue that was made was a nirmanakaya (emanation body) image, fifteen cubits high, made of sixty loads of copper. The Nepalese artisans Dewa Raja and Kirti Pala, and seven others, completed it in five months. The three-faced throne was lifted by elephants, the six back pillars were ornately decorated, and the walls were carved with coiled dragons, with exquisite craftsmanship. Rikjepa Yarlungpa Tulku Lodro Nyima and his companions made the statue. Awo Tsangpa supervised the smelting of the gold and the management of the artisans, and provided service. The statue was filled with a large amount of dharmakaya (dharma body) relics. Relics the size of mustard seeds appeared from the remains, as well as hair relics. In particular, there were many relics of the Omniscient One. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah! The vast scriptures, accompanied by the substances of the prospering Yaksha Wheel of Fortune, without error. As practiced by Kyabje Rinpoche (རྒྱལ་བའི་དབང་པོ,rgyal ba'i dbang po,The Victorious One), himself, it was completed by the abbot, teacher, and two hundred and fifty monks. A feast was prepared for the artisans, and most of the Nepalese offerings were pure gold, with the remainder, plus a premium, totaling two hundred gold zho in value. Offerings were also given to the other painters. The expenses for the rituals, etc., were handled by the treasurer himself. Here, may the ocean of pure virtuous deeds accumulated through effort increase as vast as the universe, becoming nectar to relieve the suffering of the descendants of the Omniscient One (རྣམ་མཁྱེན,rnam mkhyen,Omniscience)! Thus, a brief account of the ocean-like biography of Gyalwang Thame Chenpo (རྒྱལ་དབང་ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པ་ཆེན་པོ,rgyal dbang thams cad mkhyen pa chen po,Great Omniscient King), called 'Waves of Faith'. Holding the words of the holy Lama (བླ་མ་དམ་པ,bla ma dam pa,Holy Guru) Dorje Dzinpa (རྡོ་རྗེ་འཛིན་པ,rdo rje 'dzin pa,Vajradhara) Kunga Nyingpo (ཀུན་དགའ་སྙིང་པོ,kun dga' snying po,Kunga Nyingpo) and Bodhisattva Chenpo (སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེན་པོ,sems dpa' chen po,Great Bodhisattva) Rinchen Palzang (རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་བཟང,rin chen dpal bzang,Rinchen Palzang) at the crown of my head, for the sake of increasing the faith of myself and others, I, a mendicant Ngawang Zangpo (ངག་དབང་བཟང་པོ,ngag dbang bzang po,Ngawang Zangpo), who has touched the dust of the feet of the venerable one and holds a portion of his speech's secret, have written this. The scribe is the Shakya monk Lodro Rinchen (བློ་གྲོས་རིན་ཆེན,blo gros rin chen,Lodro Rinchen) from Nyangtod Chamangs (ཉང་སྟོད་འཆད་མངས,nyang stod 'chad mangs). May there be auspiciousness! Table of Contents An account of a fragment of the ocean-like biography of the glorious Drukpa Thame Chenpo (དཔལ་འབྲུག་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པ་ཆེན་པོ,dpal 'brug pa thams cad mkhyen pa chen po,Glorious Drukpa Omniscient Great One), called 'Waves of Faith'. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
