There is no need for excessive scrutiny regarding this. 4-65 I will briefly explain how to settle correctly. Do not chase after the literal meaning of words, But observe the manifold meanings contained within. In establishing the true nature of reality, Both Sutra and Tantra should focus their minds as one. However, in the actual method of grasping and settling, The Guru's instructions are profound and extremely profound. Regarding the entrance to the Prajnaparamita Vehicle, There appear to be two aspects: analytical meditation and settling meditation. Having thoroughly cut off additions and subtractions through listening, And then entering meditation is the tradition of the former sages. In this approach, the meaning of listening lies in contemplation, Even if it's called meditation, it's merely contemplative meditation. Temporarily setting aside detailed observation and analysis, Strive to generate non-conceptual wisdom. Through the practice of Shamatha (calm abiding), attain and stabilize the mind's tranquility. Abide for as long as you are able, Its essence is mindfulness (dṛti). Mindfulness is defined as the state of non-distraction. In the state of non-distraction, one becomes aware of the mind's flow. The aspect of awareness is awareness (samprajanya). When mindfulness and awareness arise simultaneously, It is said to be the union of mindfulness and awareness. Between sessions, both during and after, One should contemplate the meaning of what was previously heard. During the main practice, settle in a non-conceptual state. Because the supporting causes in the preparatory stage are different, The essence of the main practice will also change accordingly. Therefore, through the path of Shamatha (calm abiding), Having attained the fourth Dhyana (meditative absorption), In order to generate clairvoyance and miraculous powers, Those who desire these attainments will enter this practice. Relying on one-pointed concentration of mind, With the practice of Vipassana (insight), like a solitary path to liberation, Differentiate between defiled and undefiled paths. 4-66 Do not remain stagnant like the Shravakas (listeners). Even without cutting off additions and subtractions through listening, Merely relying on the Guru's oral instructions, And meditating on non-conceptual meditation, Is now known as 'settling meditators'. Both approaches require one-pointed concentration of mind and stability, As well as discerning and observing with awareness. This is the true cause of Vipassana (insight). Do not analyze through scriptures and reasoning, Because that is outward pursuit. The true nature of reality is the self-illuminating wisdom of inner realization. Liberating from the grasped and the grasper, clarity naturally arises. After thinking that one has recognized one's own nature, One merely sees the changes arising from the one-pointed mind. These changes do not remain in their own time. In the very moment of seeing the changes, they are naturally liberated. Like mistaking a rope for a snake, If one examines the seer and the seen, all is emptiness. If one does not examine, all appears as illusion. Recognizing what arises, this is what is called 'recognition'. Therefore, through this method, recognizing objects and afflictions, As well as all actions, Who will abandon what? And how will they abandon it? Because there is no specifiable target. Through this path of no abandonment and no grasping, All phenomena return to their primordial state. Therefore, there is the so-called 'co-emergent union'. As long as there is even a slight appearance and object, One can recognize the nature and naturally liberate. The moment when conceptual thoughts arise as Dharmakaya (the body of truth), Is called the manifestation of Vipassana (insight). Appearance and object. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When all lands are pure, it becomes the fruit of Mahāmudrā (great seal). That is all-pervading, without direction or parts, not understood by the minds of children. Only the Buddhas can measure it. Therefore, by grasping the true characteristics, afflictions are subdued through the lineage. This is the key to liberation when the east arises. The mantra practitioners destroy material obstacles with this. It is also said in the sutras that afflictions themselves are enlightenment. Therefore, fundamentally, the intention of the sutras and tantras is the same. Having said this, all the listeners present were delighted and satisfied, and their minds were filled with joy. The external interdependence is that all those who are born as humans should be harmonious, thereby pleasing others. Gzingpo Dpon and some of his main disciples spoke in a mediating manner and promised not to destroy other temples. Such practices of mantra cannot be estimated by the minds of others. That is how it happened, do not criticize with wrong knowledge. Tilopa, with his knowledge of the three times, clearly predicted that there would be those who would criticize with wrong views at that time. The Teacher (Buddha) also abandoned the Dharma teaching monastery under the Bodhi tree like discarding grass, and traveled to those places suitable for taming and receiving, and together with his retinue, tamed everything, and arrived at the White Lineage Dharma Seat (dkar rgyud chos sdings) in the Fire Pig year. He stayed there for seven weeks. At that time, the monastery was burning and being destroyed. Therefore, he ordered the four great guardians to protect the four directions, but those foolish people with malicious intentions, who could not be tamed peacefully, vomited blood and died. At that time, by the compassion and unbearable love of the great being, he cut off the karmic obscurations of those people and placed them in the state of liberation and omniscience. The stories are inconceivable, and due to the limitations of writing, it can only be told this much. As the venerable Tilopa said: 'When self-awareness (rang rig lhan cig skyes) is realized, that which appears is me. The lineage is unbroken, it is Vajradhara.' 'Here, the Buddhas of the past, present, and future, as well as the life-holders (srog 'dzin), the three bodies (sku gsum), and the dakinis (mkha' 'gro), please mature the initiation, blessings, and accomplishments upon the holder of the lineage.' Thus, for the great being who has accomplished the ultimate, Vajradhara appearing in human form, the great becomes greater, and the small becomes smaller. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
