Many great figures gathered. They exchanged greetings as if holding a large public gathering. The people of Upper Nyang secretly came. A grand ritual of repelling battles of Gönpo (མགོན་པོ, Mahākāla, Great Black One) was performed. Hailstones and other things fell on the enemy's camp. A severe plague broke out, and they surrendered to Kharga (མཁར་དགའ, Kharga). A strange way of retreat emerged. Kharga (མཁར་དགའ, Kharga), as a place of offering for a large monastery, was given to them. At that time, I thought it would be good to consult with Shigatse (གཞིས་ཀ་བ, Shigatse) and Gyangtse (རྒྱང་རྩེ་བ, Gyangtse), but the people of Upper Nyang said not to consult. I had to accept their opinion. The dispute was settled. In Tsechen (རྩེ་ཆེན, Tsechen), a grand offering ceremony was held to pray for the well-being of the officials. At that time, the offerings were very generous, especially the large background cloth for the thangka. After that, I went to Drongtse (འབྲོང་རྩེ, Drongtse), Gyangtse (རྒྱལ་རྩེ, Gyangtse), and other places. At that time, in Phagyul (བྱ་ཡུལ, Phagyul), the Nepalese official Moche Jashing Phal (ཛ་ཤིང་ཕཱལ, Ja Singh Phal) and his friends were building a three-story-high Maitreya statue in Jampa Chöling (བྱམས་ཆེན་ཆོས་གླིང, Jampa Chöling), which was completed by the body of Khrapa (ཁྲ་པ, Khrapa), and supervised by the expert Jashing (ཛ་ཤིང་, Ja Singh). The residence of the self-arisen Kṣarpaṇa In the shape of a glorious immaculate stupa (དཔལ་རེག་པ་མེད་པའི་མཆོད་རྟེན, dpal reg pa med pa'i mchod rten). The main structure of the house was built entirely of Gaja Mutig (ག་ཛ་མུ་ཏིག, gaja mu tig) pearls. It was decorated with four to five hundred pieces of priceless turquoise, coral, and gold, and a female ruler who practiced Dharma was invited from Phagyul (བྱ་ཡུལ, Phagyul). The jewels of the officials and nobles were inlaid with large pieces of turquoise. A lattice made of green gold. And gems such as ruby (པདྨ་རཱ་ག, padma rāga, lotus jewel), sapphire (ཨིནྡྲ་ནཱི་ལ, indra nīla, Indra's sapphire), etc. The door decorations included a ruby garuda (ཁྱུང, khyung) with turquoise wings, and so on. In short, it cost about three thousand taels of gold. Its exquisite craftsmanship is breathtaking. The size was more than an elbow in height. The construction was completed smoothly. The self-arisen Kṣarpaṇa (རང་བྱོན་ཁརྶ་པ་ཎ, Sanskrit: स्वयं जात कर्षापण, svayaṃ jāta karṣāpaṇa, Self-Arisen Kṣarpaṇa) was invited to Tsechen (རྩེ་ཆེན, Tsechen). At that time, on the left side of this self-arisen image, there appeared a red relic (རིང་བསྲེལ, ring bsrel) the size of a red bean and a white relic the size of a mustard seed. I thought the red relic was a good omen for the monastery, so I left it there. The white relic, as a symbol of blessing, was placed in the heart of the Maitreya statue. The construction of this residence took a year. However, the people of Upper Nyang were very unhappy about both the statue and the residence. At that time, about eight hundred taels of gold were offered from Upper Nyang. In Tsechen (རྩེ་ཆེན, Tsechen), the rituals of the glorious Kalachakra (དཔལ་དུས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ, dpal dus kyi 'khor lo, Śrī Kālacakra), Guhyasamaja (གསང་འདུས, gsang 'dus, Guhyasamāja), Akshobhya (མི་བསྐྱོད་པ, mi bskyod pa, Akṣobhya), the Five Ngok Deities (རྔོག་དཀྱིལ་ལྔ, rngog dkyil lnga), Vajrabhairava ('འཇིགས་བྱེད, 'jigs byed, Vajrabhairava), and Buddha Kapala (སངས་རྒྱས་ཐོད་པ, sangs rgyas thod pa) were completed. The common rituals of Guhyasamaja were composed. New monastic residences were built. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
