Give according to what you have. 3-496 Act respectfully like a Dharma seeker, intending to go to a pure land. When arriving at Dekyi Ling (བདེ་སྐྱིད་གླིང་, a place name), no one from Butsal (བུ་ཚལ་, a place name) came to join the funeral procession for the deceased Depa (སྡེ་པ་, official title). During the times of Chögyü (འཆོས་རྒྱུད།, a place name) and Yarmorche (ཡར་མོ་ཆེ་, a place name), we were monks of Samye Monastery (བསམ་ཡས་, Samye Monastery). Both upper and lower sides were very crowded, but we were as quiet as if separated by a wall. Then, on the fourth day, the great Lama came and said to go to Kordzo Ling (དཀོར་མཛོད་གླིང་, a place name). We left from where we were staying in Ladrang Tromo (བླ་བྲང་ཁྲ་མོ, a place name). When we arrived at Kordzo Ling, the Lama hurriedly offered a Khata and showed great respect. Karmapa (ཀརྨ་པ་, Karmapa) said, 'I sent someone to welcome you, so I came.' He was a little angry and said, 'Thinking of welcoming you, I rushed here, why didn't you say to send someone to welcome me?' The Lama sat next to the throne, and we spread a large tiger skin cushion. He said, 'In your presence, I vow not to drink alcohol for three years.' At that time, Butsal was a little unhappy and said, 'Our officials will oppose you, and take away the Be Bag Mugchung (བསེ་འབག་སྨུག་ཆུང, a kind of mask) and Sholgyi Senge (ཤོལ་གྱི་སེང་གེ, a kind of lion statue), etc.' He was about to strike. 3-497 The Dharma King Trisong Detsen (ཆོས་གྱི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཁྲི་སྲོང་ལྡེ་བཙན, Trisong Detsen) and the Great Teacher Guru Rinpoche (སློབ་དཔོན་ཆེན་པོ, Guru Rinpoche) two, were invited with great difficulty from Bata Hor (བ་ཏ་ཧོར, a place name), and all these great Dharma wheels were entrusted to you, and you were enthroned as the protector of the sacred Dharma, so you must stay here.' Then I said, 'Then I will stay too.' My Yuwok Chötri (ཡུ་འབོག་ཆོས་ཁྲི, a place name) this throne, because there have been no holy people to preach the Dharma for a long time, I feel very lonely. This time, in order to eliminate loneliness, I invited you here.' He said, 'On the eighth day, hold a longevity empowerment in the market, and all the worldly deities, including our officials, will come, and the market will be maintained by us.' Make extensive prayers to the relics such as Jangchup Chenpo (བྱང་ཆུབ་ཆེན་པོ, a statue name), so that the temple can exist for a long time and bring great benefits to the entire Tibetan region.' The next day, it was also predicted that such a thing would happen. At that time, Depa had just passed away, and although the officials of Butsal were not very happy about the market empowerment, they thought it was the will of the Dharma protector, so they planned to do it, and did the prayers of Uze (དབུ་རྩེ, a place name), etc. The sky was also a bit gloomy, wondering how many people would come. When we arrived at the gate of Uze, we found that there were not many people. When we arrived at the throne, the market and the space of the throne were instantly filled with people.

3-498 The weather was clear. That evening, he returned to Gönzö Ling He vowed to uphold the Buddha's teachings and said, 'I will also manage Gyalje Tsal What do you command?' I said, 'Your Dharma protectors are reckless. I, a renunciate, will be disturbed by coarse thoughts. If there are burnt offerings and such, it will not be good.' He said, 'I am pleased that you are doing the work of spreading the Buddha's teachings.' I said, 'That's great.' The journey was also in winter, but the journey was smooth and the weather was clear, which was convincing. After that, he began planning to repair Gyalje Tsal In Gyalje Tsal (རྒྱལ་བྱེད་ཚལ་, royal grove), Yumdrungpa (ཡུམ་དྲུང་པ, Yungdrungpa) requested to take on the temporary responsibility. The matter was completed well with three hundred gold zho (གསེར་ཞོ, gold zho) worth of goods. At that time, a strange omen appeared, which was later placed in the heart of the statue in Gyalje Tsal Arriving at the pass, Zhiren (གཞི་ལེན, Zhiren) treasure revealer Geshe Rinpoche (དགེ་བཤེས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ, Geshe Rinpoche) came. He was very close and was the abbot of monasteries such as Sangpu (གསང་ཕུ, Sangpu), Zhipa (གཞི་པ, Zhipa), and the lower chamber of Nalanda (ན་ལནྡ, Nalanda). In particular, he met the elderly abbot Tönchakpa (སྟོན་ཚག་པ, Tönchakpa), and they had a cordial conversation and Dharma teachings. I made some jokes, and Abbot Tönpa (སྟོན་པ, Tönpa) folded his hands three times and said, 'Your body is healthy, and your mind seems strong enough.' 3-499 Everyone laughed. After that, Zhiren (གཞི་ལེན, Zhiren) of Dol Mang (དོལ་མངར, Dol Mang), who was helpful, agreed to build a new monastery in Drok Drakdar (འབྲོག་བྲག་མདར, Drok Drakdar) and named it Düdul Chöling (བདུད་འདུལ་ཆོས་གླིང་, Düdul Chöling). There were about ten monks, and Mipham Wangpo (མི་ཕམ་དབང་པོ, Mipham Wangpo) was appointed as the abbot. Tea money was sent to Dol Phakpa (དོལ་འཕགས་པ, Dol Phakpa) and Dumbu Dratsang (དུམ་བུ་གྲྭ་ཚང, Dumbu Dratsang). After that, he arrived at Gongkar (གོང་དཀར, Gongkar). Depa (སྡེ་པ, Depa) Gandenpa (དགའ་ལྡན་པ, Gandenpa) said to come to Kyizhong (སྐྱིད་ཞོང, Kyizhong), but because he was building statues in Tibet, he did not go. That year, the trees and flowers in Gyalje Tsal (རྒྱལ་བྱེད་ཚལ་, royal grove) grew well. Dakchen Tsedong (བདག་ཆེན་རྩེ་གདོང, Dakchen Tsedong) sent someone to escort Tobgyalwa (ཐོབ་རྒྱལ་བ, Tobgyalwa) to the border. Dakchen (བདག་ཆེན, Dakchen) himself had to go to prison, and Taktsang Dzong (སྟག་ཚང་རྫོང, Taktsang Dzong) and other places were lost. The steward took responsibility, returned the non-dzong items, and requested that Dakchen (བདག་ཆེན, Dakchen) not go to prison and sent him back. At that time, we, the teacher and student, were very happy, but after three months he forgot about it and tried to threaten me in other ways, which ultimately led to Dakchen (བདག་ཆེན, Dakchen) not having a good end. I said, 'I have never done anything to harm others, such as cursing, burning, or killing in order to uphold the Dharma, but I have done some self-defense.' After that, I don't know what will happen. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
