After the Great Being (Tibetan: ཆེ་ས་, meaning: Great Existence) returned, he went to see the Protector of Beings (Tibetan: འགྲོ་བའི་མགོན་པོའི་, meaning: Protector of Sentient Beings) and offered gifts. He received the practices of the Ugyenpa (Tibetan: ཨུ་རྒྱན་པ་, meaning: of Oddiyana). Since the practice of channels and winds must follow the tradition of the previous masters, Gelong Cholek (Tibetan: དགེ་སློང་ཆོས་ལེགས་, meaning: Virtuous Monk) gave guidance, and it was not just intellectual transmission. Afterwards, I asked the master for leave, intending to become a hermit, so I left the monastery. At the beginning of the Earth-Ox year in peace, news came from Phyong-gyas (Tibetan: འཕྱོང་རྒྱས་, meaning: Increasing) that Depa Pelyor Lhunpopa (Tibetan: སྡེ་པ་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ལྷུན་པོ་པ་, meaning: Glorious Abundant Mountain) had passed away, and I had to attend the funeral. At that time, I had a dream in which that Depa came from Lhodrak (Tibetan: ལྷོ་བྲག་, meaning: Southern Rock Cave) and said, 'You have returned.' He folded his hands three times and ascended to the place of power (Tibetan: དབང་ལྡན་, meaning: Powerful). I prayed, 'May his reincarnation be born in Kharang (Tibetan: ཁ་རང་, meaning: Kharang) and become a prince.' This one now is the medium-sized incarnation. At the time of passing, I made extensive offerings. On the day of liberation, I went to the Light-Filled Island (Tibetan: འོད་གསལ་གླིང་, meaning: Island of Clear Light). Afterwards, I returned to Phyong-gyas, gave empowerments and Dharma to those who came to see me, and stayed there for about two months. Then, I went to Samye Monastery (Tibetan: བསམ་ཡས་, meaning: Inconceivable) for pilgrimage. At that time, I was staying in the Utsé Palace (Tibetan: དབུ་རྩེ་ཕོ་བྲང་, meaning: Top Palace), and in a dream in the middle of the night, I felt like I was in my previous life, seeing a dense forest. In my hand, I held the weapon of Manjushri (Tibetan: འཇམ་པའི་དབྱངས་, Sanskrit: Mañjuśrī, Romanized Sanskrit: manjushri, Literal meaning: Gentle Glory) - a sword about three fathoms long, shining like the essence of the sun with unimaginable light. When I swung that sword, the entire forest was cut into pieces. Later, I saw this as a sign that I would have powerful subjugating activities. Afterwards, when I arrived at the willow grove of Dorje Rawa (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་ར་བ་, meaning: Vajra Fence), Khenpo Sonam Trakpa (Tibetan: སློབ་དཔོན་སྟོན་ཚག་པ་, meaning: Teacher Sonam Trakpa) from Sangpu Monastery (Tibetan: གསང་ཕུ་, meaning: Secret Place) came to meet me. We extensively discussed the Ornament of Clear Realization (Tibetan: ཕར་ཚད་, meaning: Perfection of Wisdom), the Three Vows (Tibetan: སྡོམ་གསུམ་, meaning: Three Vows), the Vinaya (Tibetan: འདུལ་བ་, Sanskrit: Vinaya, Romanized Sanskrit: vinaya, Literal meaning: Discipline), etc. He was famous as a Geshe (Tibetan: དགེ་བཤེས་, meaning: Spiritual Friend) during the time of Sangpu Neutokpa (Tibetan: གསང་ནེའུ་ཐོག་པ་, meaning: Secret New Place). Was it because of Jowo Zangpo (Tibetan: ཇོ་བོ་བཟང་པོ་, meaning: Excellent Jowo)? He was very pleased with my qualities. Apart from the Vinaya, I was not completely certain about other things. Afterwards, I met Depa Kunché (Tibetan: སྡེ་པ་སྐུ་མཆེད་, meaning: Noble Body) at Nyepu Butsal (Tibetan: སྙེ་ཕུར་བུ་ཚལ་, meaning: Nyepu Bush Grove) and gave empowerments and Dharma. In the conversation, Dharma Lord Namkha Wangchuk (Tibetan: སྟག་མོ་གླིང་ཁ་པ་ཆོས་རྗེ་ནམ་མཁའ་དབང་ཕྱུག་, meaning: Dharma Lord Sky Empowerment) of Takmo Lingkhapa was mentioned, and they praised him highly. I heard that he was proficient in the Hevajra (Tibetan: དགྱེས་རྡོར་, Sanskrit: Hevajra, Romanized Sanskrit: hevajra, Literal meaning: Joyful Vajra) and other tantras of the Rong family, and later also completed the study of the sutras, so I thought he was a respectable master, but I did not have the opportunity to meet him. I arrived at Gartrong (Tibetan: མགར་གྲོང་, meaning: Blacksmith Village). I intended to go to Lhasa, but I was delayed for a month due to practicing pranayama. Afterwards, Gya-phukpa (Tibetan: གྲྭ་ཕུག་པ་, meaning: Cave Monk), a great astrologer who could compete with Sizhipa (Tibetan: སྲིད་སྒྲུབ་པ་, meaning: Accomplisher of Existence), Palkön Trinlepa (Tibetan: དཔལ་མགོན་འཕྲིན་ལས་པ་, meaning: Glorious Protector of Activities) came to greet me from Yarlung (Tibetan: ཡར་རྒྱབ་, meaning: Back) Dzongdru (Tibetan: རྫོང་གྲུ་, meaning: Fortress). Starting from Gutha (Tibetan: དགུ་མཐའ་, meaning: Nine Borders), I completed all the calculations of the Kalachakra calendar in one month. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
