Merged into the single essence of transcendence, there is no longer separation of rejection or acceptance. This is the confidence of my view.’ And so on. Thus, he remained unmoving from his seat for three years and eighteen months. Sometimes he prayed to Rje (an honorific), sometimes he sang dohas (songs of realization), Sometimes he danced, sometimes he engaged in various games, and in this state, his experiences and realizations increased even more. The local rulers gossiped that Gya Raspa must have gone ‘religiously insane.’ His friend, a yogi named Logom Raspa, heard about this and was very worried. He followed the path that Gya Raspa had taken and went to him, saying with great reverence: ‘Gya Raspa, I hear that you only sing songs. Have you lost your mind? Or is it because of poverty? Or is it because of the cold?’ Rje sang a doha about the seven kinds of joyful feelings. At that time, Rje, the great accomplished one, appeared in a dream and said: ‘Meditate on such a pith instruction, and after about this much time, there will be signs of treasure discovery, which will benefit sentient beings.’ After that, he began to practice. One night, he dreamed that a white man was holding an arrow-banner and said: ‘Have you forgotten that you are Naropa? Now, your pith instruction, called ‘The Six Cycles of Equal Taste’ (Ro Nyam Skor Drug), which is the essence of many tantras, is in this rock.’ Having said that, he stuck the arrow-banner into the rock. He immediately woke up, remained calm, entered into meditation, and generated the supernormal power to remember all his past lives. Then, he extracted the treasure from that rock and completely copied the texts. He hid the originals back in the treasure and entrusted Syonkhai Lutsen and others as guardians. After that, Rje sealed his speech and entered into an inconceivable samadhi. At that time, because the power of the initial habitual tendencies awakened, he always maintained a state of peace, lived by giving and receiving, delighted in the conduct of a kusali (ascetic), and benefited beings in a hidden way. A young shepherd skilled in turning away from evil places appeared with great reverence. He said to Rje: ‘Having obtained the treasure of extreme peace, possessing fearless wisdom, adorned with all the Dharma of the North, possessing inexhaustible qualities’ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Victorious One (Chubpa): Completely victorious over the host of enemies of samsara, empowered with victory like a sesame pod, unsurpassed, the guide of gods and humans. I have heard well that everyone proclaims that you always captivate the minds of beings with your innate songs. His heart was filled with joy, and he came to the master (Rje), saying, 'Please partake of this delicious merit and grant me a song that benefits my heart.' But he remained silent and did not speak. He (the requester) was displeased and sat with a dark face. Seeing this, the master said, 'If the song benefits the heart, why not accept it?' Then he sang this song: 'Namo Guru. The nature of samsara is suffering, and even if the Dharma that generates renunciation is preached, there is not a single change in attachment. What benefit is there in singing?' and so on. He thus gained greater faith and prostrated to the master with a mind free from doubt. The master also bestowed the blessing of four rounds of Mani, instructing him to recite it frequently and diligently maintain devotion. Eventually, he attained accomplishment, flying through the sky to the master, displaying various signs of accomplishment, and becoming a great accomplished one named Damparashi. Afterward, he was liberated from retreat, giving the teachings of the Six Dharmas (Chos Drug) once to Kunga Trag and others, and performing the great empowerment of the thirteen-deity Chakrasamvara (Khorlo Dompa Lha Chu Sum), causing the wisdom of body, speech, and mind to fully descend, and displaying various manifestations of body, speech, and mind. With the nature of the five elements ('byung lnga'i rang bzhin), he performed countless miracles. With the collection of mantra-arrows, he struck the great drum of the heavens, and flowers such as Champaka (Tsampa ka), Pundarika (Puṇḍarīka), and Udumbara (Udumwara) scattered. The beautiful fragrance spread in all directions, filling everyone with joy and satisfaction. Afterward, he carried countless offerings to Naphur, using them for the offerings of the great accomplished one, and chanted long offering songs, etc. At that time, he met the master Naphupa (Rje Snaphupa) in a dream and heard many teachings on physical exercises and so on. Afterward, some disciples followed him to Dromtik Shelgipa Magong ('brog mu tig shel gyi spa ma gong). He also suppressed the various miracles of demons and spirits, making them offer their life mantras and take vows. Many malicious people were annoyed by his actions, and he sang songs and left. Afterward, Geshe Se Nyemowa invited him, and he stayed on Khara Mountain for several months, and the nuns of Khara offered to him. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
