After that, he also listened to the explanations of the Guhyasamāja Tantra (mGon po mNgon byung gi rGyud kyi bshad pa sogs, the teachings of the manifested Lord) and the Bodhicaryāvatāra (sPyod 'jug). In short, he listened to all the tantric explanations, the generation stage, and the completion stage instructions. At that time, he debated with Klog ston, Dar rdor, and other Dharma brothers known for their wisdom, as well as some teachers who were skilled in learning and arrogant, and defeated them in debate. His reputation for being rich in wisdom spread in all directions. At that time, in an assembly, he received the blessings of the great accomplished Jetsünma Yeshe Khadro (rJe Grub thob chen po rGyal ba'i Yum Ye shes kyi mKha' 'gro, the Queen of the Victorious Ones, Yeshe Khadro), mastered all the Kangyur (Bka' 'gyur, the translated words of the Buddha), and recited them as his daily practice, like a second Vinayadhara. When he heard the complaints of the debating lions in the great monastic colleges who were writing commentaries, he went to their assembly and defeated them with logical arguments, which gave rise to great arrogance, and he used the scriptures as a tool for display. He stood in front of the Sangha, manifested in the sky above the banks of the great Lohita River (Lo hi ta'i Chu bo chen po), and sang the Vajra songs of the Victorious Ones. Then, the Fully Perfect Buddha himself appeared and said, 'Do not be arrogant, for arrogance increases all faults. Even those who are masters of the ocean of qualities like me will eventually pass away into Nirvana.' As soon as he saw the Buddha appear and teach in that way, he stopped his magical powers and subdued his afflictions with antidotes. He obtained all the common and supreme siddhis (dngos grub, accomplishments) from his master and made a vow: 'Please allow me to debate.' The master said, 'It is not right to harm the Lama.' But he gave his permission. Then he said, 'Then, please define the Dharmakāya (Chos sku, the Body of Truth).' The master replied, 'The Dharmakāya is free from arising, abiding, and ceasing.' He retorted, 'Then, space is also Dharmakāya.' The master had no answer and was pleased, and his fame became even greater, so that most of those who spoke of scriptures and logic could not argue with him. Then, at one point, the master said, 'Sing a song that arises in your mind.' So he composed this song called 'Nine Cuts' (zhe bcad dgu ma), which was his earliest song of realization: 'Namo Rinpoche (Na mo rin po che, Homage to the Precious One). I, the yogi of Gyaras (rGya ras), have traveled all over the kingdom. Seeing the faults of others, I realize my own faults. I should not reveal my own faults.' And so on. The master was very pleased and said, 'You will accomplish great benefit for beings.' Once, the Omniscient One (referring to the master) said, 'You should take the Indian...' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He did not compete for fame. Because this was the wish of the Buddhas of the Fortunate Aeon (Bskal bzang), he received the prophecy that he would become the victor who completes the deeds. When the temple was being built, he requested to do retreat and paid a fine of one zho of gold for each monk who went elsewhere or did retreat. 3-23 He said, 'Go to Sle'u chung and do it.' He thought, 'If the lama is not pleased, what is the use of the teachings?' I did it like this. He took a plate of brown sugar to the lama and confessed. The lama was pleased and said, 'Understanding the Dharma comes about like this.' Then, he worked for five months and his meditation improved. When the temple was finished, he requested the complete teachings. He copied all of Tsongkhapa's (Rje) writings and then went to Gzhung spre'u zhing. He saw the supreme meaning and listened to the empowerments of Hevajra (Dgyes pa'i rdo rje), Nairatmya (Bdag med ma), Mahamaya (Ma hA mAyA), Vajrasana Four Seats (Rdo rje gdan bzhi), Guhyamanjuvajra ('Jam dpal gsang ldan), etc. from the great Vajradhara (Rdo rje 'dzin pa chen po) Ngog rin po che Kun dga' and Rdo rje seng ge, who had crossed the ocean of tantras. He listened to the examination of the second tantra that corresponds to the root tantra and the explanatory tantra, as well as the extraordinary explanatory tantra Guhyasamaja (gur), the common explanatory tantra Samputa, the Mahamaya tantra, the Vajrasana Four Seats, and the explanation of the Name Praise according to the tradition of Acharya (Slob dpon) Sgeg pa'i rdo rje. He understood them all at once. Because he uniquely understood the difficult points, he was known as an incarnation of Naropa (nAro pa) Pandit. The practice of the seven mandalas, commentary, consecration, fire offering, and small actions. 3-24 The completion stage (rdzogs rim) of Hevajra blending transfer, the profound Dharma teachings such as the three Mahamaya completion stage form yogas. He listened to the two-armed Protector (mgon po phyag gnyis pa) spoken of in the fifteenth chapter of the Guhyasamaja, and the Shri Devi (dpal lha mo) tantra, and the sadhana practices of the four activities from Naropa's Indian treatises, and he learned the practice of the generation stage and completion stage without error. He completely understood all the certainties, and then returned to Sna phu. He helped Tsongkhapa's sangha and stayed there for a while. Thus, he spent six years and five months with Tsongkhapa and in study. In the Earth Monkey year, when he was twenty-eight years old, he requested to go to practice. Tsongkhapa said, 'Do not go.' He bestowed the prophecy that I will hold Sna phu zung, and 'Brug and Ra lung. Then, he insisted on requesting to go to Lho brag mkhar chu. Tsongkhapa said, 'Jowo (Jo bo) Naropa saw the hidden meanings of all the Tripitaka and taught them equally to others.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
