On the road, the ruler of the North, Jowo Tse, came to the feet of the master and respectfully said: 'Master, the people of our North have little faith and spend their days indulging in sinful deeds. Please look upon them with compassionate eyes and grant them the connection of aspiration prayers and profound teachings.' Having said this, he offered extensive gifts. The master said: 'It is necessary to establish a connection of Dharma and aspiration prayers.' Then he spoke much Dharma and also gave many aspiration prayers. Therefore, he developed faith and said: 'Alas, lamp of beings, protector of sentient beings! Master, are you pleased to have inspected the salt lakes of the North, and has your commitment increased?' Sometimes, he looked at the external scenery, thereby dispelling sorrow; sometimes, he looked at the inner mind, thereby gaining inner confidence, and felt happy.' Having said this, he sang a spiritual song. The ruler further said: 'Now we householders do not understand the Dharma and do not know the difference between good and bad, so we always commit sinful deeds. Please grant us an easy-to-understand teaching.' Then (the master) taught: 'May the qualified Lama Rinpoche reside as the crown jewel on my head. I have no other refuge, so please always bless me.' Having said this, (the master) prepared to go to U-Tsang (Central Tibet), and on the way, he encountered many robbers from Lhopa (southern region), who tried to harm (the master). (The master) saw that he was wearing the hat of Tsongkhapa on his head, and the robbers recognized him as a Dagpo Kagyu practitioner, so they were no longer afraid and let him pass. After that, the monk Gyeu Phukpa from Shang invited (the master) and offered him a residence. In the assembly receiving the blessings of Jomo (referring to the Jomo Lhari area), someone asked: 'Are you not tired from traveling a long distance in the North? Are you not impoverished due to the lack of living materials?' (The master) replied: 'I left the meat-eating Northern Mongolian tribes and went to a foreign land where the language is not understood. It is truly amazing. Then I came to Tibet.' Having said this, (the master) lived by begging for alms and went to Ngok Khulung. The villagers said: 'If you are not afraid, go to the Gang Phuk cave over there, there is a lot of food.' (The master) asked: 'What is the matter?' They said: 'Those who practiced mantras died there because of their misdeeds.' The master thought: 'I am a yogi who meditates on emptiness, what is there to be afraid of?' Then he entered the samadhi of subduing the three realms and went there. As a result, all the mantra practitioners died, and many corpses stood up, with their mouths open, eyes wide, hair standing on end, limbs stretched out, some dancing, some roaring, some clapping. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some were playing, some were jumping and running, some were making moaning sounds, some were singing sad songs, some were wailing, some were making smacking sounds, some were fighting and arguing with each other. Many demons and spirits gathered together, displaying various sounds and forms, etc., which were terrifying and frightening. Just hearing them would cause one to lose their life force and feel extreme fear. Without a doubt, he remained in unwavering meditative absorption (Samadhi) of non-outflow. At that time, the local people were talking: 'A young monk from Khar-tsang went there, and now he must be dead. But is he dead or alive? Let's go and see.' Many people gathered together to see him. The master was using some corpses as pillows, some as mats, and some were piled up on the left and right. He was sitting there fearlessly, singing melodies. Seeing this, the people were amazed and looked at each other, exclaiming 'Ala la!' Among them, a young man asked: 'Are you not affected by the dangers of being breathless? Are you not afraid of death?' The master replied: 'I am a yogi who has realized emptiness, how could I be afraid of death?' Then he sang a song: 'I am a crazy wandering monk, by the grace of a qualified lama, I have these assurances.' Someone said: 'Emptiness, emptiness, emptiness!' 'The one who empties and the place to be emptied, both do not exist.' Hearing these words, they were very happy, thinking: 'This must be someone who has attained realization.' 'He has completely defeated such a terrifying assembly.' 'He has especially subdued the assembly of zombies that can destroy the armies of demons with the Vajra Samadhi, giving the refuge of fearlessness to the land.' They all praised him and made great offerings with devotion. Then, when he arrived at Gongmor, a beautiful young girl came to fetch water. The yogi said to her: 'We need some food.' The girl said: 'Please wait a moment.' Then she went back inside. She said to her mother: 'Let's do a Tsok Khorlo (feast gathering). There are some yogi teachers and students at the door. Can I invite them in?' The mother said: 'Of course, do it.' Then the girl came out and said to the yogi: 'We are going to hold a Tsok Khorlo, please come in.' The master said: 'What preparations are needed to hold a Tsok Khorlo?' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
