Remained with a joyful expression. 3-49 Then, Vimalamitra ascended the throne and, extending his two right hands like an elephant's trunk, addressed the assembly: 'Like a garuda spreading its wings, beneath the 'Ya', a Bodhisattva who has attained the tenth bhumi will appear among my disciples.' Thus, he prophesied that Gampopa would descend like a soaring eagle in the sky. Afterward, together with his companions, he set out for Tsari Rong, preparing to go to the red palace of Dodwang Lhamo Rewati, entering into the subtle bloodiness. In an instant, the great expanse of the earth trembled visibly, a mass of darkness enveloped the sky, thunder roared, meteors flashed, iron rained down, and terrifying roars resounded. Various miracles frightened the companions, causing them to halt and begin to return. At that moment, the master said: 'The practitioner has a place to be measured, the Dharma has a stone to be discarded, the great continent has the accomplishment of food, the yogi has a realm to travel.' Having spoken, he subdued all the miracles. The nine butcher brothers, Namdru, offered the essence of their lives, and the master arrived at the shore of the lake. There, in the center of the lake, which was of a terrifying red-black color, 3-50 A formidable city of Dharma sources was built with dry and wet skulls, adorned with crowns of human heads and banners of victory. Fresh and old corpses were scattered everywhere. Flocks of vultures and jackals swirled around, emitting fierce howls. Many dakinis and flesh-eaters roamed in all directions, uttering unbearable wails. Amidst these sights, the glorious goddess Rewati, extremely wrathful and with a terrifying countenance, was seen. She vowed to abide by all commands and promised to accomplish all tasks. She said, 'If my disciple who upholds the samaya arrives here, even if the situation is critical, he will not be harmed by miracles such as hailstorms. Even if it happens, a sun that can dispel the hail and dry the moisture will surely appear.' That lake is also known as the Drukpa's soul lake. Afterward, the master returned again and resided in a cave near the Sindhura Sea. From within the sea emerged a captivating and youthful dakini, slender in body, with full breasts, wearing a silk bodice and waist covering, her hair flowing freely, and her beautiful face captivating the minds of beings. Merely seeing her caused the hairs of joy and bliss to stir. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I prostrated and spoke thus! 3-51 'O yogi, when you travel to places like Mount Kangri (snow mountain) and great sacred sites, wearing such an eye shield will be temporarily beneficial for the eyes, and the ultimate benefit will be inconceivable.' Then he offered the eye shield. That place is still called 'རྒྱ་རས་མིག་ར་ཕུག་' (Gyaras Migra Phuk, Gyaraspa's Eye Shield Cave). After that, they continued walking and came to a steep rocky gorge. (Gnyos, a personal name) pulled his hand out of fear, and མགར་དམ་པ་ (Gar Dampa, a personal name) pushed his feet from below, so they could pass through. After passing through, གཉོས་ (Gnyos) asked, 'What happened to friend Gyaraspa?' He replied, 'A person came with his buttocks down. I was prophesied by the lama to arrive at ཙ་རི་ (Tsari, a place name). Gyaraspa was liberated from the buttocks-down gorge and realized samsara and nirvana. Now I am the master of samsara and nirvana.' After speaking, he arrived at (Parpata Yidzhin Gyi Norbui Gang, Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Mountain Top). There, he and གཉོས་ཆེན་པོ་ (Gnyos Chenpo, a personal name) sat together on a throne. During the time of the tsokhor lo (assembly wheel) offering, he said to the assembly of attendants, 'What do you see in the sky in front of us?' They replied, 'We see many bees flying and hovering.' He said, 'The gathering of mothers and dakinis is filling this place, and you should be able to see it as well.' 3-52 As he spoke, he ecstatically danced, and the white monastic robe left lotus imprints of his toenails on the stone surface. Afterwards, he gradually arrived in the upper region and saw the heart area near རྫ་ཁྲོད་ཤར་མ་རྡོ་རྗེ་ཕག་མོའི་ནུ་མ་གཡོན་ (Dzatrod Sharma Dorje Pagmoi Numa Yon, Red Cliff Cemetery Vajravarahi's Left Breast), where there was a tree in the shape of a ཁ་ཊཾ་ག་ (Khatamga, khatvanga). Beside the tree, he entered non-conceptual meditation, remaining motionless in equipoise for three months. At that time, not long after, near the last watch of the night, various musical sounds that had never been heard before resounded, and the fragrance of burning incense such as གོ་ཤིརྵ་ (Goshirsha, ox-head sandalwood) filled the surroundings. Many deities rained down flowers, and gods, nagas, asuras, gandharvas, and garudas, holding flowers, incense, scented oils, silks, banners, flags, streamers, and various precious ornaments, faced him and paid homage. At that time, he thought, 'What is the cause of such a wondrous sight?' He looked and saw in the sky in front of him many celestial incense chambers and thrones covered with jeweled nets being carried aloft. 3-53 Brahma, Vishnu, Indra... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
