In terms of differentiation, there are eight vehicles of views that are the means of entry, the cause, and are not truly correct in their own essence. In terms of the purpose of abiding, there are two vehicles of views that are the result, Ati Yoga, the truly correct vehicle, and the great perfection of spontaneous wisdom. In terms of the nature of the example and meaning, there are two: holding onto each individually and being without limitation or bias. As it says in the Explanatory Tantra: "Son of lineage, the nature of view is to be known from the individual distinctions (358)." The definitive meaning of view is that the nature of self-aware wisdom is unbiased intelligence. The definition is: Because it is the ultimate limit of truly correct knowledge, it is called view. In terms of differentiation, there are two: truly correct view and not truly correct view. Truly correct view is Ati Yoga. Not truly correct view is Anu Yoga and below. There are two examples of view: the example of truly correct is like mercury and light. The example of not truly correct is: the ultimate truth is like space, the conventional truth is like illusion, which is the example of Anu and below, Bodhisattva and above. The example of Hearers and Solitary Realizers is: the example of grasping is like a river, momentary impermanence is the example of constant permanence. The example of the object of apprehension is like a yak tail and peacock feathers. Son of lineage, if the conventional truth example of Bodhisattva and above is extensively explained, there are non-existent appearances such as combs, and eight examples of illusion such as water moons, such as lord and subject, such as friends, such as oneself alone taking an arrow and setting up a target, such as father and mother being inseparable. (359) O son of lineage! View is beyond effort and diligent practice, like a great garuda soaring in the sky. So it is said. Moreover, the Ati school introduces the view of self-born wisdom, the self-radiance appearing as samsara and nirvana, the example of being pure from the ground, like mercury and light. Since the view is originally practiced into the expanse, it is repeated like a great garuda soaring in the sky. Identifying the indicative words is: From that very text: In all the sutras, tantras, and agamas I have taught, the word group called view, the word group called philosophical system, the word called truly correct, and wherever the word ultimate appears, they are all summarized as indicative words. There are also five types of meditation, from that very text: Vajra-holder, listen well, nature, definition, differentiation, and words of appropriate example.

Where is it taught? The essence is to abide in one-pointedness. There are four types of definitions of meditation: To meditate by focusing on the meaning; To meditate by abiding without distraction; To meditate by abiding without separation; To meditate by familiarizing and habituating (360). If divided, it is taught in two ways: with signs and without signs. Even in the signless, there are two types: the method of meditation without effort and the meditation without separation from effort. It is the same for the one with signs. The four examples that represent meditation are: like a lamp post; like water and milk mixed together; like a jewel in clear water; like a lamp in a vase. O Secret Lord, be sure to hold on to it. Wherever the word 'intention' appears in all the tantras and agamas I have taught, it refers to meditation, samadhi, contemplation, as well as non-distraction, non-proliferation, non-separation, abiding, and words such as habituation and familiarity. Wherever it appears, it should be explained in conjunction with Tibetan. So it is. The examples are also divided into one's own meditation, Atiyoga self-born wisdom without signs, and the common meditation, Anuyoga and below, with signs of the generation and completion stages. It is sufficient to elaborate on the common meaning in each specific context. Even in one's own meditation, from the last of the three bases, meditation, to the continuous self-abiding, and the supreme non-meditation, and to repeat 'non-meditation' for their essence. One should know its meaning, which is the essence, definition, classification, example, and symbolic words. As it is said in the explanatory tantra: Vajrapani, be sure to hold on to it! The essence and definition of non-meditation, as well as the classification, similar examples, and expressive words should be explained. The essence is nature, constant and uninterrupted. The definition is not to focus on the mind, to abide naturally, without needing to act, without needing to create. There are two types of non-meditation: non-meditation with signs and non-meditation without signs. Each one is also taught in two ways: non-meditation in nature and non-meditation in realization. The example of non-meditation being constant and uninterrupted is like abiding as a river. Non-meditation is inseparable from meaning, like a bee clinging tightly to a flower. Non-meditation is naturally with all words, as well as clarity, nature, and great self. Originally there is no gathering and separation, and it transcends all actions and efforts, and it cannot be traversed on the path, and realization is manifest enlightenment, and it is self-born wisdom, and it is spontaneously accomplished, originally enlightened, (362) without the need for mental effort.
