Since the teachings of the Sugata are taken as the standard, it is not spoken arbitrarily, but holds a credible basis. Here, both before and after, the evidence of the tantras and agamas are well cited, which is commendable. So, where do these supports of wisdom and so on that were just mentioned come from? From the "Adornment of the Introduction to the Places of the Supreme Tantra": Lord of Secrets, the Sugata has a body of wisdom, and as a support, the upper chest of my body is its support. The abode resides in the heart. The path is between the heart and the eye, a vein like a white silk thread, (286) soft and entwined, connected by one without blood and serum. That is the path of wisdom. The doors are two manifest doors and two hidden doors, a total of four. The two manifest doors are one's own two eyes. The two hidden doors are one's own two ears. The nature of wisdom itself is that it abides in emptiness, the nature of the Dharmakaya, which is originally pure. Wisdom abides in clear light. The essence abides in transparency. Abiding in the nature of emptiness means that one's own awareness itself does not establish any thing or sign, so it abides in the nature of emptiness, this itself is it. Wisdom abides in clear light, which is the clarity of the nature of awareness itself without interruption, this is it. Son of lineage, the clarity of the nature of awareness itself without interruption, this is the intention of the Buddha. Abiding in the essence of transparency, even though covered by the body of flesh and blood, it cannot be obscured, and for eye consciousness, seeing is uninterrupted, shining with light, this is it. This alone is the intention of wisdom's transparency. Thus it is extensively said (287). Secondly, the state of mind has five aspects: support, place, path, door, and nature. Among them, the support of the mind is the empty body, the place is the lungs, the path is the throat, and from the lungs to the throat, a vein like a thin tube connects, through which breath flows. The door is the mouth and nose. The nature of the mind itself is that the six or eight consciousnesses arise in relation to objects, and thoughts arise internally and externally. Again, from there: Lord of Secrets, the support of the mind is the upper chest of one's own body of flesh and blood. The place resides within the lungs. The path is from the lungs to the throat, connected by a small tube like a blade of grass.

are connected. Then downwards, the movement of breath is the path of the mind. The doors are the three doors of desire, the two nostrils and the mouth are the three. The knowledge of desire arises from that. The nature of the mind itself is accompanied by conceptual thought. The movement of breath in and out is itself. Thus it is said. That is to say, from the heart to the lungs, in the network of vessels connected like thin tubes, the radiance of wisdom and compassion arises, and mixed with wind, it is called mind. The radiance does not flutter (288), like having eyes. The wind, like riding on a one-legged blind horse, flows outwards, going in and out from the mouth and nose, grasping the objects of the five senses. Inwards, it flows in the lobes of the vessels, contemplating and discerning the objects of the mind, the dharmas. Although dharmas cannot be seen directly like the objects of the five senses, clinging to them, the mind thinks about them in all ways. All attention to general meanings in the realm of the intellect is like that. That is to say, the radiance of awareness makes the unclear clear, and the wind makes the unmoving move, so the mixture of wind and awareness is called mind. On the path, if the wind is pure, then the radiance does not move from its base, and non-conceptual wisdom remains in its own place, which is considered the spontaneous accomplishment of the intention of the Buddhas. All the key points of aligning with the wind come down to this. Third, thinking about the other qualities of these two, there are two ways: the way they meet now, and the way they finally separate. The way they meet is: in the vessels connecting from the lungs to the heart, the radiance of compassion from the heart mixes with the wind, and this is the mind. Through the yogi's way of looking and the key points of restraining the way of seeing, the wind of the lungs gathers in the heart, and the radiance of compassion dissolves into itself, without conceptual thought. The characteristic of the wind appears clearly, and the awareness of clear emptiness without conceptual thought arises, and this is the way the mind and wisdom meet. In essence, the radiance of compassion dissolving into its own place is called the meeting of mind and wisdom. Then, the wind briefly separates from the lungs in itself, which is also a key point of meaning. The way they finally separate is: after the four elements dissolve, the breath of the lungs goes out and does not gather inwards, like a one-legged blind horse running far into the sky. The radiance of wisdom gathers inwards and dissolves into the heart, like going from a butter lamp to a water lamp. When all appearances and existences appear as pure realms, the mind and wisdom completely separate. In essence, it is like that.
