Thus it is said. Thus, from the pure five elements, light arises, mistaken for impurity. Regarding the way of speaking about the three kalpas (261), there are four aspects: the nature of the kalpa, the definition, the classification, and the explanation of the meaning. As for the nature, the first kalpa is when the nature of reality separates from the realm, only the plan of manifestation has not ceased, because the actual realm does not appear. The intermediate kalpa is the spontaneously accomplished ground, separated from the fruit of samsara and nirvana, appearing only as the light of self-appearing images, transcending the ground, because it has not yet reached the stage of fruition. The final kalpa is separated from the two lights of samsara and nirvana of awareness and non-awareness, because grasping and fixation actually ripen into samsara. The definition is that the pure nature is the spontaneously accomplished kalpa, and the kalpa of self-appearing grasping and fixation is impurity, so it is called kalpa in relation to the two ways of kalpa. The classification is that the first kalpa is the spontaneously accomplished ground, the intermediate is the five lights of the image, which clearly manifest as body and wisdom, and the last is the confused appearance of samsara, with three appearances. The meaning of kalpa is that these appearances last for a long time, so it is the reason for kalpa, because it exists without being measured by years and months (262). Also, the first kalpa is when the light of the image arises from the ground, the intermediate kalpa is when grasping and fixation of the container and essence arise from the light, and the final kalpa is when the happiness and suffering of confused appearance arise from grasping and fixation, so the meaning of kalpa should also be understood. In the Explanatory Tantra, it is said: "The nature of the kalpa is shown, the ground, path, and fruit I have shown. At first, wisdom arises in the realm, because the appearing and the appearing appear, so the nature of reality separates in the first time. In the middle, with the conceptual thought of grasping, the appearance of wisdom dissolves inward, so the form becomes the container, the world of the container is called kalpa. Finally, it separates into the two of grasping and fixation, from then on it separates into Buddha and sentient beings. The definition is the established reason, the classification is of three kinds, because it lasts for a long time it is called kalpa." Thus it is said. The explanation of the place of the elements is finished. Third, explaining the state of body and wisdom, there are two parts: generally explaining the state of body, and specifically explaining the state of wisdom (263). The first part has two parts: explaining the three bodies and explaining the five bodies. The first part has five aspects: nature, definition, classification, metaphor, and names. The nature of the Dharmakaya is

O, the spontaneously arisen, uncompounded awareness, like a mirror-like Alaya-jnana, its essence, nature, and compassion abide in the three. As it says in the Kunsel: "The essence of the Dharmakaya is impartial wisdom, it is non-dual." Also, the essence is unmade, uncreated, unadulterated, unchanging, naturally pure, uncompounded great wisdom. The nature of Dharma like the sky, the nature of emptiness Vajra. Awareness is insubstantial, primordially pure, greatly transparent. Nature is the wisdom that abides in its own base, the five wisdoms that grasp the characteristics of the base do not cease, and in the state of essence, they appear as light. Compassion is the five kayas of the heart essence, the mudras appear unceasingly. Son of the lineage, the base is the Dharmakaya, the nature is the Sambhogakaya, the compassion is the Nirmanakaya, the base of all arising (264) abides without ceasing, therefore it is the three kayas abiding in the base. The pure cause is the Dharmakaya, the pure result is the Rupakaya, the two abide in inner clarity, it is the accomplishment of qualities, it is called the kaya abiding in the base. The definition is also from there: "The definition of the Dharmakaya is that which is special and explanatory." So it says. The division is also from there: "In terms of division, there are three Dharmakayas: awareness is free from grasping objects, the unchanging is the Dharmakaya. The clarity of awareness-wisdom is unceasing, the five completely pure eyes of wisdom are the Sambhogakaya of the Dharmakaya. The five kayas that create the plan that appears to those to be tamed are the Nirmanakaya of the Dharmakaya. Son of the lineage, that is also called the three: essence, nature, and compassion. It is also called the three kayas abiding in the base. It is also called the result accomplished on the base. It is also called the great pervasiveness of the three kayas. It is also called abiding in the state of the result." So it says. The metaphor is that the kaya and wisdom are like a lamp inside a vase. How the spontaneously arisen self-sound abides, non-abiding but connected, (265) appearing as light from a distant rope, from the skillful means of compassion, appearing as wrathful from a conch shell house, the metaphor of the clear house of wisdom is, from the Explanation Tantra: "Hey, secret lord, be sure to remember, although the lotus grows in the mud, it is not stained by the fault of sin. Although it is said that outer and inner are confused, self-awareness is not confused, it has never been stained. The one who is not confused is the Buddha. Son of the lineage, the pure base is the Dharmakaya, the result
