Pray. Hold the mirror above the disciple's right eye and say: Alas, fortunate one! This is the wisdom body, self-born. The empty, transparent body of the sky. The body that does not arise, die, change or transform. After introducing this, it is said in the Tantra: When the image of the mirror is shown, just as the mirror is pure and clear, so is the Dharmata pure and clear. Just as images appear in the mirror but have no self-nature, in the space of the emptiness of Dharmata, the five bodies appear but abide without self-nature. The body is as small as a sesame seed. It dwells perfectly in the space of the five lights. And now, the resonance of the forty-two peaceful deities abiding in one's own heart, and the fifty-eight blood-drinking deities in the navel chakra, although their bodies are only as large as mustard seeds, because of the narrowness of the place, in the bardo they are as large as the sky, then as large as Mount Meru, (119) as small as a pottery, and even smaller as one's own body, appearing to fill the sky. At that time, recognize the self-appearance as the Rupakaya. Thus it is said. Then, block all the orifices, and from the top of Mount Meru, when the sun sets, introduce the meaning of the wisdom of clear emptiness. Let the sun enter into protection, and introduce the channel from the auspicious conch to the lamp. Hold the mirror to the side of the sun and introduce the time when the mind and wisdom are separated. Roll up the mirror and introduce the ground appearance. Block the channels. Play music. Roll up the mirror and introduce the three: sound, light, and rays. That is also in the Dharmata Bardo, the self-appearance of the five lights is like a mirage shimmering on the summer plain, from which the self-sound of Dharmata comes like the roar of a thousand dragons, and rays like a rain of weapons fall, so recognize the sound as self-sound, the light as self-light, and the rays as self-rays. Thus it is said. That is also now introducing the wisdom of clear emptiness and the channels to the unbeliever. Introduce fainting due to blockage. Introduce the three: ground appearance, sound, light, and rays. This is the introduction. The Nirmanakaya light cluster (120) introducing union is a symbol of the uninterrupted manifestation of compassion. Focus your eyes on the place where the light of the sun and the light of the mirror meet, and introduce the self-sound of the heart appearing like a long rope in union. In the Kunsel it says: Emaho, son of lineage! Just as the mirror is pure and clear, the lamp in the water is the completely pure Dharmata. Without moving the hand seal on the mirror

The five bodies manifesting as light are the wisdom of suchness, the sign, which is the Nirmanakaya. Thus it is said. To introduce the indivisibility of the three bodies with the mandala of the sun: By covering the face with silk dyed with colored earth, tightly woven, neither too thick nor too thin, and looking at the mandala of the sun, when the sun radiates various rays of light in the midst of the five lights, and one sees a string of bindus, it is symbolized by four wordless symbols: The essence of the sun is an example of the Dharmakaya, the five lights are an example of the Sambhogakaya, the rays are an example of the Nirmanakaya. The union of these three into one basis is an example of the indivisibility of body and wisdom. As it says in the Tantra of the Burning Corpse in the charnel ground: Symbols are like the essence of the sun. The essence of the sun (121) is an example of the Dharmakaya. From it arise various rays of light. These dispel the darkness of the six realms. Likewise, the Dharmakaya is clear without thought. The Sambhogakaya uses wisdom without obstruction. The Nirmanakaya liberates afflictions with compassion. These three are different but of one nature. And in the Kunsel it says: Just as the rays of the sun's essence are unceasing, the Dharmakaya is adorned with two Rupakayas and appears. Just as the essence of the sun and the rays are inseparable, the wisdom of the three bodies is primordially indivisible. In essence, I have explained that the Dharmakaya is indivisible. To introduce through signs: Because wisdom, self-luminous and spontaneously perfect, abides primordially, one gains confidence by showing that the lamp of Bodhicitta is within oneself. Furthermore, to recognize the wisdom that one possesses now as it appears in the Bardo, it is symbolized by the introduction of the ground appearance. That is, the connection between body, mind, matter, and awareness is severed. The appearance of this world disappears. In the interval before the Bardo of Existence arises, in the interval of the Dharmata Bardo of three or six moments (122), on the sign of the appearance of the three, sound, light, and rays, one recognizes the roar of an elephant in the ear, and believes that the sound is one's own sound. By covering the water lamp with one's hand, one sees the appearance of the lamp of Bodhicitta, and believes that the light is one's own light. The Oral Transmission Tikka says: The auspicious lamp is connected by the veins. The lamp is the self-arisen door of Dharmata. When the star-hole is blocked, the appearance becomes clear. Thus it is said. By pointing the silk water lamp at Surya, one sees the rays of wisdom appearing fully. The rays themselve
