The physical body of the head passed away without remainder. Then, the master Manjushrimitra buried all the scriptures to the northeast of Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya), under the Pawaṁ Vajra Cross, and resided in the Sosadvipa charnel ground. At that time, in the city called Black Wandering City in the land of Great China, there was a virtuous householder named Yijian, and a disciple of Illuminating Wisdom Woman, named the Great Master Shri Singha, who was a learned scholar with qualities. In the western Golden Continent, Avalokiteshvara appeared in the empty sky and prophesied: 'O fortunate one, if you desire the definitive meaning, go to the charnel grounds of India!' Hearing this, he hastened on foot and met the master Manjushrimitra, prostrated and circumambulated him, and requested to be taken as a disciple. (95) The master Manjushrimitra bestowed all the Dharma completely and prophesied all the scriptures, and then passed away without remainder on the top of the stupa in that charnel ground. Then, the great master Shri Singha took out the scriptures from the northeast of Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya) and went to the Bodhi tree in northern China, hid the scriptures, and remained in contemplation in the great Cool Grove charnel ground. At that time, in the western part of India, on the Elephant's Hump, there was the son of Dharma Ashoka's daughter, Dharma Bodhi, named the Great Master Vimalamitra. Some say that because he had no father, his mother hid him in a sand cave, and he did not die, his eyes were bright, so he was called Vimalamitra. Others say that because he only knew a little about the Dharma on the sand, that's why he was called that, which is a reckless statement and contradicts what is said about the father in the 'Turquoise Letter'. Therefore, as prophesied in the Ati Great Perfection: 'The supreme scholar called Mudrita will reside in Kamaru.' Translating sand is the vast Mudra hand seal, that is, Vimalamitra. His ordained name is Vimalamitra, also known as Immaculate Friend. From the age of five, he naturally knew all the fields of knowledge (96). When the masters Yeshe Do and Yeshe Zhung went to the reed grove west of Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya) to relax, Vajrasattva prophesied from the sky above: 'O fortunate one,'

Having heard, "If you wish to surely obtain the fruit of one lifetime, then go to the foot of the tree where Bodhi grows," Acharya Vimalamitra came to meet him, bestowed the oral transmissions, and then went back to India and meditated in the great charnel ground, Illuminating. Then, King Indrabodhi invited him and made him his lama-patron. This is the lineage of the vidyadhara's symbols. Furthermore, the transmission into the ear of the individual: At that time, the Tibetan King Trisong Detsen built Samye Monastery of Drakmar Pal. Although many translators had translated countless teachings on cause and effect, he was not satisfied, thinking, "I wonder if there will be a teaching more profound than this, a teaching on cause and effect that allows one to attain Buddhahood in one lifetime and one body." At that time, the king's Dharma minister, Nyang Tingdzin Zangpo, said, "O mighty lord, it is said that the Indian King Indrabodhi has five hundred panditas as his lama-patrons. Why not invite one of them who is learned and accomplished?" So he sent the translators Ka, Chok, and Ma, with many gifts of gold dust and gold patra to invite him. The translators offered the gifts, and as a return gift for the kindness, the king said to the panditas, "Please, among you, let one who is learned and accomplished go to Tibet." When he urged them in the assembly, half of the three hundred looked down, and half of the three hundred looked up. Vimalamitra knew that he was being urged, so he took a four-finger-wide skull cup, in which all the essence of the Dharma was gathered, and came. When he arrived in Tibet, he was greatly welcomed. He translated and taught many outer and inner teachings, especially the three circles of thigle to the king and his sons and to Nyang, satisfying their hearts. Then, Vimalamitra went to Mount Wutai in China. Then, Nyang Tingdzin Zangpo went to Drakkarpo (White Rock) in Uru (present-day Tolung Dechen District, north of Lhasa) and stayed there. Dorje Lekpa sent hailstones to Kham and levied a tax of five hundred khral of grain, and built the temple of the Lotus Hat Empowerment. He divided the thigle circles into two: the scriptural transmission and the oral transmission. He hid the scriptural transmissions as treasures. In order to ensure that the tradition of this oral transmission would not decline, he entrusted it to Phenyulwa Sablo Drod Wangchuk Kalden.
