Look at this naked essence! Clear yet without clinging, emptiness yet without self, awareness without identification, this is the Dharmakaya. In this state, do not be distracted, do not fabricate, do not adulterate, abide in your own nature! Thus, it is instructed. By pointing out the spontaneously arisen clear light, one is liberated in the bardo. Using sunlight and crystal as examples, it is pointed out: the original, primordial nature, the liberation method of Samantabhadra, the deluded ways of ignorant beings, the nature of mind and wisdom, the method of practice of the instructions, the liberation method of the clear light in the bardo (54), and so on. After pointing these out, block out the starlight, rely on a woman to point out the three meanings of entering the womb, draw symbols on the ground, then lift it up with the crystal, and point it out with the three: example, meaning, and sign, and point out the three kayas with the crystal, the sun, and the mask. The crystal is the Dharmakaya, the mask is the Sambhogakaya, the rays of the sun are the Nirmanakaya, thus pointing them out according to the practical lineage. By shining sunlight on the crystal, point out the channel connecting the heart to the eye through the crystal. Point out the moment when mind and wisdom separate. Point out the basic appearance of the bardo. Point out the way the three, sound, light, and rays, appear. Point out that in the spontaneously arisen jewel, body and wisdom are inseparable, so that the inner clarity abides in the Dharmakaya, while the outer clarity benefits others with the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya, and carefully point these out. These are the complete path instructions of all three oral lineages. Third, the subsequent Dharma should be explained in detail or briefly (55), and then the seal should be given. Thus, by the merit of writing down the great guidance of the oral transmission without writing, may all beings enter this supreme vehicle and attain the state of the supreme Samantabhadra! This is called the great guidance of the supremely secret oral transmission without writing. Completed by the yogi of the Great Perfection of Naturalness, the various self-liberated ones. Good! Good! Good! Abiding in Original Liberation. Called Abiding in Original Liberation. Homage to glorious Samantabhadra! In the state of primordial unbirth, free from foundation, in the ordinary, innate, natural original face, there is no abandoning, abiding, coming, or going, therefore I prostrate.

Oh! Listen as I briefly explain the true nature of reality! All phenomena, inner and outer, existence and samsara, are: Primordially empty, inherently empty, and naturally empty from the beginning. Although they appear, they do not truly exist. They are free from the extremes of existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation. Though they appear in the mind, they are not established as the mind (56). Apart from the mind, not even an atom exists. Like the appearances in a dream, Though they appear without existing, they have no inherent nature. They are neither the mind nor phenomena arising from the mind. They are neither existent nor non-existent, neither true nor false. Neither bound nor unbound, neither empty nor not empty. No matter how you examine them, they do not abide in that way. Therefore, in the nature of reality, there is no such thing as 'this'. In the single essence, the primordially pure nature, Different minds see the establishment of doctrines without end. Even the labels that establish each side as 'this', are grasped by the net of mental speculation. In the true meaning, all are merely given names. Thus, all phenomena that appear as objects, are without objects, without support, and empty in every way. Like the objects in a dream and the rainbow in the sky, however they appear, they vanish into nothingness. Like the eight examples of illusion, appearing without existence, Whatever appears is the nature of being without a basis. The mind that grasps at the self within is also merely a label. If you search, you will not find it; it is nowhere, inside or out. (57) It vanishes on its own, without a trace; the seeker is empty in their own place. Without color or form, naked and bare. Invisible when looked for, clear when left as it is. Indescribable, awareness is beyond expression. Without distinct objects, without direction or definition. Neither empty nor not empty, neither existent nor non-existent, neither is nor is not. Without definition or designation of what or which it is. Without a basis, without a path, without a result from the beginning. What is the use of searching for view, meditation, action, and result? If you cut the root of grasping at your own mind, Without grasping, without a root, the dharmakaya is bare. When mind and phenomena are exhausted, you arrive at primordially pure awareness. More wonderful than wonders, how utterly amazing! Ha ha, mind and self-awareness burst into laughter. This gateway of appearances that seem to exist when they do not, If you look elsewhere, your own nature is empty. Searching for emptiness, the seeker is lost in between. Even if you search for what is lost, you will not find it as before. Without a trace, bare, naked, nameless, one. Freed from what, why, and which it is. Appearances are vast, awareness is naturally clear. Without support, without a basis, like the purity of space (58).
