Without abandoning, things unreal appear to the mind, Cause and effect are appearances of the mind, Potent is the appearance of meaning, The appearance of Dzogchen realization, (444) All are seen as the essence of Dharmakaya. The appearance of Kuntuzangpo (Samantabhadra), Is the same as above, a non-dual appearance. The way the initial ground appearance abides, The condensed appearance is of three kinds, The impure, deluded appearance is of the six realms. Purity is the Bodhisattva of the ten Bhumis, The true wisdom ground appearance is the same as above. The distinctions of appearance, expansion and contraction, are shown. The nature of appearance is shown, Explain it from the category of distinctions, It is not enough to say just a little here. The nature of true certainty, Is the Dharmata with resonance. The exact meaning of the appearances, Unobstructed object appearance is named appearance. The example is shown in the category of distinctions, Here, the example of certainty is shown, Like the appearance of rays from the sun, Like the appearance of light from a butter lamp. Whatever appears abides in its own resonance, That is in the great wisdom, Wisdom's own resonance appears transparent, Wisdom abides in its own resonance. The example of pure Dharmata is shown, Appearing like a mirror and so on. Thus it is said. Secondly, in the cavity, nature, exact (445) meaning, distinction, example, and four, in that itself, The nature of the cavity, exact meaning, And the distinction is explained with a matching example. The precious cavity and the cavity of light, The habitual cavity and three are shown. The first to explain the characteristics is, The Dharmakaya is transparent and unchanging, Unobstructed, all-illuminating wisdom body, Like a mani jewel showing one side, In detail, like the ground appearance shown above, That precious cavity is the Dharmakaya. The middle to explain the characteristics is, The unobstructed wisdom light body, Holding the thirty-two marks, The mandala of the five great aggregates, Clear, shining, beautiful, and glorious, The unobstructed wisdom light cavity. The last to explain the characteristics is, Completely complete with the four ways of arising, The aggregates, elements, and sense bases are all included, The eight consciousnesses and the mind are all included, The habitual cavity, I have shown it thus. Thus, the nature of the three cavities, Is said to be the three Kayas mentioned above. The reason for the name cavity is, It becomes stable in the space of abiding. In the general term of cavity (446), Individually and definitely explain

It is the basis. The precious treasury where all virtues arise, the treasury of light where there is no self-nature, like the moon in water, the image in a mirror, and like a rainbow as an example. The treasury of habitual tendencies where the power of conceptual thought increases, so it is said. The philosophical view of this Dharma, it is extremely important to establish these three treasuries. Thirdly, the eye also has four aspects: essence, definition, characteristic, and example. As it says in the Explanatory Tantra: The essence of the eye, along with its distinctions, is: The wisdom eye, without opening, is singularly clear. The Dharma eye, without thought, knows all aspects and is clear. The discriminating wisdom eye, with thought, distinguishes all aspects and is individually clear. The divine eye is completely pure, and because habitual tendencies are exhausted, it appears. The flesh eye is pure and clear for those who are suitable for samadhi. The eye of aquatic creatures is commonly clear to those who possess habitual tendencies. The definition is: Because it sees the meaning and is clear without obstruction, it is called the eye. The characteristic is: It is free from individual obscurations. The example is like the essence of the sun (447). So it is said. Fourthly, the example also has: The essence is a symbol that expresses meaning. The definition is: Because it shows similarity, it is an example. The distinctions are: the example of the basis, the example of power, the example of liberation, and the example of non-duality. There are twenty-five types. As it says in that very text: Son of lineage, be sure to remember. Those who dwell in the treasury of habitual tendencies are like lion cubs and garuda cubs. The example of the transference of the treasury is like a bird hatching from an egg, and like a snake shedding its skin. Here, cutting off the bardo with realization is like recognizing someone you knew before. The example of accompanying without separating from wisdom at the time of the transference of the treasury is like taking a lamp out of a dark room. The room becomes dark, but the person holds the lamp in their hand without separating from it, and goes to the place where they are going. The example of reversing confusion is like waking up from sleep. Even when a realized person is disturbed by circumstances at the time of death, they obtain the dharani of non-forgetting. The example of the arising of wisdom is like throwing a stone into water, the water is disturbed and unclear, but when the water and mud settle, it becomes clear. The example of the Dharma (448) body not arising from the physical body, but of wisdom manifestly arising, is like the sun being on the eastern mountain peak, but the light appearing from the western hill. The three momentary dharmas are grasping.
