In the state of Bodhicitta, the great mandala of the Vajra realm, whatever arises is like crystal and jewel. It is free from directions and distinctions, pure and without defilement. Non-dual, beyond thought, the unchanging Suchness, is the essence of ultimate meaning, the primordial Buddha, the fundamental nature of all phenomena. If the ground of Dharmadhatu is not realized, it becomes a nihilistic view, clinging to emptiness as annihilation, and clinging to Dharmadhatu as substantial. This is the view of permanence and annihilation, contradicting the meaning of being free from extremes. Samsara is without a basis, its characteristics are annihilation, and the basis of Nirvana is spontaneously accomplished. These two are like Dharmadhatu and the appearance of Dharmadhatu, like space and clouds. Like the sun and its rays, all qualities are spontaneously accomplished. Although present in Dharmadhatu, the obscurations are not purified, like a sun covered by suddenly defiled clouds. (315) To clarify this, there is the effort of the path, and the state of the pure, clear sky, the state of fruition. Since Dharmadhatu is inherently immutable, the spontaneously accomplished, unconditioned qualities of Dharmadhatu, are just as they were before, and will be so afterward. Abiding in this way on a single ground, through the uncleared, cleared, and completely cleared clouds, gradually, the defilement of Dharmadhatu is the basis, one aspect of the path, purification, and at the time of fruition, complete purity is like the nature of clear sky. These are examples of Dharmadhatu being of one taste, not moving from the ground. Mind itself is clear light, spontaneously accomplished, unconditioned. Know it as the mother of all phenomena. This meaning is the intention of the final turning of the wheel, the definitive meaning of the Secret Mantra Vajrayana. Whoever knows this view is a wise person. In the unconditioned, utterly pure Dharmadhatu, the qualities of Dharmadhatu such as powers are inherently present, and the qualities of sudden purity, free from defilement, are complete. It is extremely important not to mistake the difference between these two. (316) Those who say that the Dharmakaya of the ground possesses powers and so on, do not have such qualities of twofold purity. Defiled and undefiled depend on the occasion, therefore, in relation to the spontaneously accomplished qualities of Dharmadhatu, and the manifest qualities of fruition, in the two states of ground and fruition, the wise should know this Dharmadhatu, whose nature is completely pure, as the Dharma of the ground. The path is the removal of the defilements of Dharmadhatu, the wisdom of ripening through the four empowerments, Bodhicitta, the union of emptiness and compassion, is what one wishes to practice, the essence of the profound.

Here, through the power of my own faith and virtue, and the extraordinary blessing of the Guru, the meaning of all dharmas being selfless and free from elaboration, the very nature of mind, the luminosity of the ground, is perfectly understood through empowerment, guidance, and instruction. It is said to be the view of realizing the nature of reality. Therefore, it is crucial to distinguish between the ground and the view. The ground is the essence of the nature of reality, while the view is the very nature of realizing it. To rest in the state of realization is meditation: non-conceptual, unscattered, free from elaboration, pure like the sky, luminous, uncompounded. Beyond thought, speech, and expression, awareness is bodhicitta. Abiding in its own natural state is the king of meditation. At that time, dullness and excitement, all characteristics are completely pacified. Blissful, clear, non-conceptual experiences arise without clinging or attachment. The six consciousnesses are relaxed, the five senses are free. Awareness is without support, wandering like space. Inside, outside, and in between, there is great transparency. The intention of the Victorious Ones, the self-arisen wisdom, is to be known as the great expanse of liberation. The mind of sentient beings and the intention of the Victorious Ones are different in that awareness is like a bubbling spring, free and unconfined. It is fixated on a single object, holding onto the box of consciousness. Sentient beings of the three realms each have their own object of focus. Beyond that, without direction or limitation, pure like the sky, is the intention of the Victorious Ones. Even having become a Victorious One, abiding in the state of self-arisen wisdom, remaining in its own place, is the intention of the Victorious Ones. Even having become a sentient being (318), not realizing one's own place, mind and mental events are all conceptualization, grasping and clinging. Abiding in the state of conceptual and non-conceptual characteristics, the three realms of desire, form, and formlessness are like a prison, binding self-arisen wisdom and clinging to it as self. Therefore, at all times, in conceptual and non-conceptual states, awareness is self-luminous, free, and transparent. One should know the intention of abiding equally in its own state. Knowing this, one becomes wise in all things. The incomparable Dharma Lord Lama said, "The essence of this is abiding in the state of realization." In the palace of the Three Jewels, the Vajra Essence, the yogi is like an immovable mountain king. When abiding in the three places, the Dharmata wheels, in the nature of the purity of the three channels, the central channel, when the entry and setting of the life force, the sun and moon, have ceased, when the wind and mind are unmoving and utterly pure, when the light of great bliss pervades the expanse of the sky, when the one taste of wisdom is mixed with the expanse, then...
